Asian Taste is not always 5 stars, but some of their items are 5 stars. Their pork dumplings, both fried and steamed get 5 stars. They are the best of any I've had locally. They roll the dough very thin so they are tender. The dipping sauce is average. The barbequed spare ribs with bones are excellent, but messy, gnawing on bones, altho the sauce is a little sweet; I just add a little of my own barbeque sauce. They make a great hot and sour soup and for some reason it's even better the next day. The spring rolls are excellent. Not crazy about their egg rolls. The Szechuan string beans are very good and an ample amount, some for that next day. Shrimp Szechuan is excellent, especially if you ask for extra shrimp. I like their white rice better than their fried rice. The Singapore mai fun is pretty good. I liked the green jade with garlic sauce. I love lo mein, but their lo mein needs more gravy and a little more meat and veggies. They make a smashing ice tea with lemon; I prefer it to soda. I believe that if you are a regular customer, they try harder to make your order especially good. I've never been to the restaurant; I always have mine delivered and they do their own delivery with a small delivery fee so I don't have to pay for a delivery service. But I tip drivers of everything I get delivered. read more

I would give this restaurant actually 3 1/2 stars. I was in the area and I thought I would give this place a try. I read many reviews about the Sesame Chicken so I order that, and side of string beans. I thought the Sesame Chicken had a good taste but the string beans was average. Inside the restaurant was clean, and the cooking area was clean as well. All in all this place is worth a try. read more

The reviews made me want to try this place out. 18 minute drive to the spot thinking I was gonna get some gooood quality Chinese takeout. My friend and I had ordered over $75 worth of food for our families. Which included 1 large beef and Broccoli and 1 large shrimp and broccoli. The order also came with a free large general tso. I'm mentioning these plates specifically because they were the worst out of everything we got. What was alarming was the broccoli had a very bitter and chemical like taste to a few of them in both orders. It was an overwhelming bitter taste that made you spit out the broccoli and your taste buds was ruined with that chemical after taste. There was no odor and visually you couldn't see anything wrong with the broccoli. We survived but it made me really skeptical as to what that bitter/chemical broccoli taste was. Oh and the general tso was mediocre, frozen, stringy, non-chicken like meat that didn't surprise me. They also need to stop putting 4 pieces of dead broccoli pieces in there for decoration too. My wife and I tried this the other night, via Door Dash. She had the dumplings, we tried the chicken fried rice and the ribs. The dumplings were tasty, the sauce it comes with was "meh". The fried rice, yellow looking rice, was average, nothing special to write home about. Had some veggies or veggie-type things in the rice, but I have had better. The ribs, they were huge, and bathed in a very sweet red sauced bbq concoction. A little too sweet for my taste but it was ok. Overall the experience was so-so. Food is always good. Im working on going vegan and this place has vegetable sushi as well as cucumber and avocado rolls. Miso soup is ok..flavor isnt very strong but still good. Both avocado and garden salad were fresh and ginger dressing that comes with is AMAZING!!! Also had spoon of shrimp fried rice and yatkamein...both were really good!! Um...so did the owners of this place get their friends and relatives to write 4 and 5 star reviews for them??? The food at this place is TERRIBLE. I was hoping, by the other reviews, that this would be one of those restaurants that look unassuming on the outside, but still has delicious food. I was very disappointed. $50 worth of food. All of the egg foo young patties actually looked uniform and perfectly shaped...as if they were mass produced and came frozen off of a delivery truck. They didn't look or taste fresh. House egg foo young and almost no meat...THE WORST I HAVE EVER TASTED. The shrimp toast...I'm not sure what that even was. Greasy, doughy, gray mass of...I have no idea. Crab rangoons...tough and chewy. Hard to bite and they were too sweet. Curry Shrimp...bland. How can curry shrimp lack flavor? I can't even address the noodles and dumplings. I've been ordering food from Asian Taste for about 5 years now. I used to live in the Hamilton-area, so it was super convenient and I found that they had the best Chinese food available for delivery in the area (if you're looking to eat-in at some place, check out The Orient). It's tradition for my family to order Chinese and see a movie on Christmas, and this year we're a bit farther from our Hamilton stomping grounds, but that didn't stop us from returning to our tried and true. We placed an order for pick-up at around 6:45pm and the food was ready within ten-fifteen minutes. The restaurant is located on Belair Road in the Frankford-area is Baltimore. It's a small little shop, with a few chairs, and window with plexi glass protecting the kitchen, and I suppose, the employees. It was a bit off-putting to see a sign warning against "hoodies and ski masks" but we only had to run in for a second to grab the food. I ordered the boneless spare ribs, and pork fried rice combo, and the general tso and pork friend rice combo. Each meal comes with a vegetable egg roll. In the end the meal totaled to $17, which is pretty reasonable. The food was delicious, and well-worth the fifteen minute drive from my current residence. read more

For the price and the perk of having it delivered to my doorstep, I've decided that they're now my go-to for some Friday night Chinese take-out. However, I was disappointed in their donuts. For Chinese it's always here. There general tso is the best I have tried. Its sweet creamy sauce brings out the chicken. The fried white rice and chicken wing special is fantastic. There wings are pretty good sized and healthy looking. Not too famished or malnourished like most Chinese food spots. It's juicy and tasty. There orange chicken is good. Yum! I had been looking for a Chinese delivery spot near me and - thanks to Yelp reviews - I tried Asian Taste tonight. Will definitely order again! The place was very busy so it was a bit difficult to place my order, as they kept putting me on hold. But my order arrived pretty quickly with a friendly driver. The sesame chicken (white meat) was delicious! The chicken was good quality and the sauce was flavorful and light. The quantity was large and the white rice was just the right stickiness. Delicious. The pork fried rice was awesome. The sesame chicken was terrific - made jussst right. The sauce was on point. The California roll was also good. The pork lo mein my husband had was great also. No complaints. Decently priced. The people inside were really nice. Pretty fast for a busy weekday evening. Everything was fresh. The neighborhood is a little iffy security wise , if you're not used to that area of town I'd recommend definitely going during the day or before dark. Good Chinese. This was my second time getting delivery from Asian Taste. First time I got General Tso's Chicken. Second time I got Orange Chicken. Both times I ordered spicy, and never really felt any heat, but fantastic flavor. We also ordered dumplings. I love dumplings. I don't think I ever found a bad one. These are heavy on the doh, light on the meat, still delicious. The only real gripe I have is their egg rolls. Not the traditional egg roll I'm used to. Stringy vegetables, no real hint of "roasted pork" like it's supposed to be. All and all I'll be going back when I want Chinese. read more

I come here all the time because the place is clean and the food is not Full of MSG. Having now ordered from here a dozen times or more, I'm forced to conclude that Asian Taste is just a run of the mill Chinese food delivery service. It's completely and totally fine. They have some things that are pretty good. They have other things that aren't worth buying. It gets to you hot, and it's reasonably priced - and they're good about calling when they're close, rather than coming and ringing a doorbell or knocking, so people like us have the chance to get our dogs out of the way. I was looking for a New Chinese Restaurant and take out place because I just moved to Baltimore. I'm really particular about were I eat but I was referred here and thought why not? I ordered from them and explained my situation and from first pick up they were welcoming, nice and they really aimed to please. I love their shrimp and broccoli, the Crab Rangoon, the homemade iced tea and the shrimp rolls/egg rolls. From the outside it looks plain but once your inside it's wonderful.
