I am moving out this weekend and have no food left in my apartment and decided to order from China Wok one last time. I ordered chicken and string beans, beef szechuan and sweet & sour chicken (I wasn't the only one eating!). They were all combos so they each came with pork fried rice and egg rolls. The price is great, I paid about $21 before tip and they load as much food as possible into their take out containers. And they aren't the little white boxes either. These containers are like tupperware and make it easier to reheat leftovers, which I almost always have. Also, you can wash and reuse them a couple of times before eventually throwing them out. I will be living too far away from this place to order delivery after this weekend. I will miss their delicious chicken and string beans and their pork fried rice. :'(

In fairness, their standard menu had some of those, but they were clearly a large serving size meant for a family. It was also a little confusing - they gave us one dim sum menu (and only one, even after we asked for a second one to look over; it wasn't super crowded and they could've spared one), but our waitress came by one time and only one time with a cart. So, was this place supposed to be cart service, or ordering a la carte (no pun intended)? It just made the decision process a little clunky. Of the dim sum I got, the pork shu mai was probably best. Standard, but not bad nor extraordinary. The chiar siu pork buns were tasty, but way too doughy. My friend got the shrimp Pad Thai. We had to check a couple times with the waitress to make sure that there was no non-seafood meats. Ultimately, he ordered it and he was impressed with just how much shrimp it came with. Overall, not too bad. Our waitress was very friendly, but spotty in her timing. The prices weren't bad. Comes with a sauce that might be questionable for my more sensitive gluten free foodies so proceed with caution. Absolutely delicious shrimp inside though! Scallion fried rice - comes with generous amount of egg and customized spice level. Goes great with a little extra tamari if you have some at home. Bok choy and mushrooms - omg, I think about this bok choy weekly! It's so perfectly cooked. Crunchy, full of flavor, and goes well with the mushrooms. I like mixing this into the fried rice. Singapore noodles - this was a new item for me but really yummy. Loved the thing rice noodles that had a nice chew to them and didn't fall apart. Seasoning was fresh and not overpowering at all. Comes with thinly sliced chicken and a few shrimp plus some chopped veggies. Add some of your own tamari to it for a little extra flavor! Delivery has always been prompt and dishes packaged well. The food overall was delicious. Each of the entrees was flavorful and well prepared. Two things I want to mention: I thought the shrimp dumpling (3 of them) should have been a larger portion for the price and that the soup was a bit salty. Other than that, no complaints. After placing my order online, I called the restaurant to request plates, plastic ware and chop sticks. The friendly person on the phone assured me "no problem," and everything was received as promised. I had ordered a lot more food than I should have, and ended up having some for dinner, lunch the following day and late afternoon snack a day later. The entrees and rice held up well under repeat microwaving. I've been unimpressed by Peter Chang (eating at the testaurant) at another location in the past. I thought it was overpriced for what was typical Chinese food. I will likely try them out again after this experience. I assumed that it would be about the same, if not a tad bit worse, because it's smaller than Charm City Buffet. I am pleased to say that I WAS WRONG. Jeremy, Justin and I all thought that Best Buffet was better. The people cooking the food actually want it to taste good, instead of throwing whatever up on the buffet line thinking quality doesn't matter. I managed to eat two plates of food, which doesn't seem like a lot, but I had some big honkin' portions of meat. Everything was incredible, and I wish I could have unzipped my stomach and continued to eat. The roast pork was so tender and delicious. The spare rib meat came right off the bone and was sticky with that great hoisin-flavored Chinese sauce. The crawfish were spicy. All the Chinese dishes tasted like something you would get at a quality take-away. The sweet and sour chicken nuggets were crispy, and you get to sauce them yourself, so they stay that way. Jeremy couldn't get enough of the pepper steak and onions. Justin was the only one to take advantage of the hibachi - which he liked, but said it could use more vegetables to choose from. He would have liked some broccoli and mushrooms. I'm not sure if those things were available over at the salad bar, but if they were I feel like the manager of the buffet should consider moving the salad ingredients closer to the hibachi, so customers realize they have more choice.
