I placed an order from Uncle Ou's for my mom and made the request very clear: a large beef yak with EXTRA ketchup and 3 extra eggs with onions. I repeated it multiple times to avoid any confusion. When my mom got the food, there was barely any ketchup-just a small squirt. That's not what was requested. I called to address it and was told, "we don't put ketchup in the food." That makes no sense -if a paying customer is specifically asking for something, especially after confirming it multiple times and even offering to pay extra, why ignore it? What made things worse was the lack of accountability and then being hung up on. That's not how you handle a customer concern. Here's what we had and the grade I'm assigning to each of the dishes: Spicy tofu: 1 star. It's actually more sweet than spicy. Spicy garlic pork: 4 stars. The sweet & spice were just about perfect. Fried rice: 2 stars. It's a bit bland. Rice noodles (chicken): 4 stars. It's really pretty awesome. Note that the rice noodles are stir fried (dry). Seasonal vegetable: 3 stars. Fresh, but they used a bit too much oil for the stir fry. Giving it 4 stars for the value and speed at which the food was freshly prepared. read more

This was the best local Chinese carry out I've had in 10 years! Most shrimp toast around Perry Hall/White Marsh lately is dripping with wet grease and total mush. This was crispy, fresh and hot. The crab wontons could have had a bit more crab, but were perfectly tender with the right amount of sweetness! The hot and sour soup was packed full of ingredients and really HOT which is my preference. Best of all the entrees...general Taos chicken was sweet hot and tender. By far the best I've ever tasted! I don't normally do Lo Mein but the chicken lo mein was sweet and spicy. I would have preferred more chicken since the small amount in there was tasty and perfectly cooked but the noodles were satisfying enough. I look forward to trying hunan chicken next visit. This used to be my favorite Chinese food restaurant, I especially liked their fried chicken wings covered in General Tso sauce with shrimp fried rice as the side order. I placed my order online and couldn't wait to get it but when it finally arrived, I was thoroughly disappointed. I recently had Chinese food while in Ft. Lauderdale and ordered 6 wings only to receive my order and find that they give you 3 whole wings cut into 6 pieces. The nerve of these people! I told my wife that I was glad they don't do this back home in Baltimore. Fast forward to yesterday, I get my order and start eating and I notice that they've cut my wings up and what do I discover? Three wings cut up and sold as 6 wings! What kind of bootleg nonsense is this?! What grown person has their chicken wing fix sated with just 3 wings? Who buys just 3 wings? Review is for overall years of getting take out from here. #1 I wont be going back after they now charge 3.99% surcharge if you use credit card. #2 food is hit and miss when it comes to consistency. So far, the best Chinese in MIddle River. Easy to find a greasy dive, butt they use fresh veggies in their meals that aren't overly wilted when you eat them. Even nice fat mushrooms in the lo mein. They gave us complimentary sugar buns with our meal. Very filling, and a nice touch when I asked if they could make the lo mein spicy. Not too heavily handed with the peppers, just enough to give it bite. My husband really enjoyed his General Tso's. This will end up being our go-to place for Chinese delivery going forward. I'm trying to get the price to change to $ instead of $$$, because we ordered a ton of food and didn't even pay $25 for it all. I'm going to have leftovers for at least 2 more meals. We LOVE Uncle Ou's! It's the best chinese we've ever had. When my daughter was first born we lived right around the corner, and you know how cooking goes with a newborn... we ordered here every single night. The food was always prepared quickly, always hot, portion size is great and the rangoons... oh the RANGOONS!! They're so good! My husband just said that he's going to stop and bring some home for dinner tomorrow. We moved downtown and there just isn't a good chinese food place down here that's decently priced. I placed my order for no spicy, extra broccoli. I had to pick it up cause of no delivery. I got home and the order was ALL carrots, no chicken (3 pieces). I called and complained. They would not refund me so I asked them to remake the order again. I picked up the second try and it was VERY spicy. I could not eat it. I called again and they rattled off in chinese and laughed at me. These people DO NOT care about customers or service or their food. They are all about the money and very greedy. They over charge. I tried this place quite a few years ago and was not impressed at all. Recently went back and tried again, very much improved. The food is good, the prices are reasonable, and best of all, the staff are really nice and friendly. I have tried several different things there, the egg rolls are good and not greasy, the fried rice is delicious. The general's chicken is good, but the sauce is a bit thick, same with the sesame chicken. I did not care for the shrimp toast. The lo mein is good, the sweet and sour chicken is good but a bit doughy. I give the staff 5 stars though, so nice! read more

Just moved to 21221 zip and decided to try uncle ous. I picked it up and the people working there were very nice. They gave me free donuts and a calender for the new year. Got home to eat and was very dissapointed. The bourban chicken had cartilage all in it and the looked like soup from how watery the sauce was. Shrimp fried rice was flavorless although there were plenty of mod sized shrimp it it. Egg rolls were not fresh the cabbage inside was mushy. I wont be going back. Well, we have tried a most every Chinese place in town and they all have been subpar... After reading the reviews here we thought we would give it a try..... This place is no exception... It was not good... The Bad: The Kung Pao lacked favor and was full of watercress.... Frankly, it was terrible... The fried rice was greasy and we ordered the shrimp fried rice which had a funny taste.... The eggs rolls were greasy and tastes like the oil needed to be changed... The Good: the online ordering and delivery were a huge bonus... The rice noodles were ok but I needed more spicy so order spicy if you want this... The General Taos was good and had generous portions of Chicken... The spare ribs and donuts saved this meal and were very good! We will probably not eat there again.... read more

I just moved to Middle River and it seemed like this was the only Chinese place that would deliver so I gave it a shot. I ordered the shrimp shu mai and shrimp with broccoli. The food was delivered about 45 mins after I ordered by a potentially questionable individual who seemed to be hired randomly off the street to deliver food...it was a little sketchy but everything seemed fine so whatever, I guess! As far as the food itself, I was actually pleasantly surprised. The shu mai was good. I was happy with the amount of shrimp included in the broccoli dish. It was more food than I expected and it was actually pretty flavorful compared to most I've had in the past. It was enough for me to eat for three meals (I don't eat a lot necessarily but I don't skimp on food either!). I will definitely order from this place again! read more

Nothing special but they DELIVER! Typically order Fried rice and General Tso Chicken. They are very accurate with receiving your order and everything is reasonably priced. The fried rice is normally under sauced with plenty of white rice showing. The General Tso Chicken is not as crispy as it could be. The delivery timeframe is horrible. We are less than 10 minutes away but our orders normally take well over an hour to get to us. The best thing about this place is they deliver, if you are driving around looking for a spot, you can pass this spot. read more

So I called and I was just letting them know that if they don't offer putting condiments on the food then they should let the customer know when they order the food. The lady proceeds to tell me "well I put it the packets in the back you should have done it yourself." So I said" excuse me? I was just letting y'all know that if there is something that y'all do not do then that should be conveyed to the customer at the time the order is placed." Searched to see who in Essex would deliver Chinese food. It's been a long time since we had Chinese delivered. Most places around us are carry out only. And the few places in Essex that sell and deliver Asian, are sketchy. I have heard people talk of this place and how good it was. I found their menu online and was able to also order online. Food took about an hour , but since I'm in Essex and they are in middle river, I can't complain. Food was hot and fresh. Tasted good and was packaged with napkins and soy sauce. Not bad. I ordered the hot 'n' sour soup, steamed dumplings and chicken & brocolli. The hot 'n' sour soup is very good with more spice than most. One of the better such soups I've had. The dumplings were good as well. Unfortunately, the entree did not live up to the appetizers. The chicken was tender, although overall I was disappointed with this dish. The broccoli in it was undercooked, and the dish came with a curious lack of sauce. This place is geared for delivery and take-out only with only one table in the whole place. read more

I called after 1.5 hours and was told online had only just got there 15 min go. I find it highly improbably that the online ordering system took 1.25 hours to deliver the order. Usually I order orange chicken from here. It is very good. Tonight I varied and ordered sweet and sour chicken. It was awful! It was white rice, breaded chicken nuggets, and some kind of tasteless orange sauce to pour over it. No pineapple, no red pepper, no unbreaded chicken, no onion, no pineapple juice, no red wine vinegar, and no brown sugar. Maybe they need to get a Chinese cookbook and learn to make sweet and sour chicken. Maybe I need to stick to orange chicken. Unless you have no taste buds, do not order the sweet and sour chicken.
