Hey Neighbor! Want a cool hangout spot with friends to enjoy board games, music, drinks and pizza? Neighbors is a great choice. Came here to hang out with some friends, chose a game, ordered drinks, pick up a slice and had a blast. Around 9 PM the DJ came and got on the 1s and 2s. I ordered a pizza and it was very tasty, almost like an authentic New York slice, thin and foldable! Prices a decent and service is quick. Parking is tight and limited in the immediate vicinity of the restaurant, so plan for street parking or may a lot down the block. Definitely a a place worth checking out out with friends. Enjoy!

Pizza was delicious! So much pepperoni and cheesiness

We decided to drop in after driving by several times near the area. The location looks very hip and there are lots of restaurants on that strip. I will say that there is very limited parking and that is maybe why they offer valet services. Walking up to the place there's a Michelin star restaurant and an ice cream spot so definitely had to try those out on another day. As far as Neighbors, we came inside and it definitely gave a neighborhood hole in the wall type of field. It was very casual and a pretty cool spot. You can order pizza by the slices or you can order a box as well. We got two slices of pizza and a minestrone soup. The pizza was definitely delicious. It had that type of pepperoni that is very greasy and I really love it. The cheese was very cheesy and it really felt like they use some quality ingredients for that pizza! Now for the minestrone soup, I will say that tasted terrible. It was piping hot and had no flavor. It was just maybe a vegetable brought with veggies in it no noodles. We did want to order some drinks, but for some reason all of the ones we wanted to order were out so that was a little annoying. We opted for some root beer and we called it a day. Overall, if you're looking for a cool spot, good pizza, definitely give this place a try.

Loved this place. The pizza was the star of the night - it certainly is one of Houston's bests! - followed closely by the vibe of the place, it really is a cool place to hang out with the locals. Coming back to the pizza, the dough was well made, I could taste a "sourdoughy" scent and texture. The blend of cheese and one of the most delicious tomato sauces ever was spot on. I'll be back.

Was craving a pepperoni pizza, specifically the tiny cups of pepperoni and we saw a picture of the pizza from Neighbors and HAD to order it. Didnt realize it was a very chill hangout/bar. Loved the casual hang out with friends/low-stress date vibes this place had. I think there was a corner with some board games and large tables and good low light setting. The pizza was very generous in size and pepperoni amount. I liked the crust and how close to New York style pizza it was. Salty though. The service was fast! Would've loved to spend an evening here, maybe next time!

Came here for dinner and drinks on a Saturday around 6pm - place was bumpin'. They had a DJ and tons of enthusiastic patrons - not sure if it is always that way, but it was definitely a vibe. Drinks were solid and the pizza was really good - thin crust with good structural integrity (aka not floppy). Parking - street

Been wanting to try this place for a while now. Had a friend come into town so I figured it was the perfect opportunity. She and I both enjoyed this neighborhood gem. We ordered drinks and tried out the pizza. Our bartender, Adam, made the drinks perfectly! The pizza was crispy, just how we like. The ambiance was nice, too. Lots of ppl, great dj, good crowd, even some games off to the side. Def recommend.

The R&B game night was a great vibe for Valentines Day. There is ample street parking which is great. The event space does get extremely packed, we found ourselves trying to scour for a seat but eventually gave up (lol). The DJ was so good it worked in our favor vibing to the music. Everyone was dancing and the people were friendly. The bar area was busy but we were able to order promptly. The pizza was nice and warm and the drinks were well balanced. Will definitely be visiting again, and coming in earlier!

First review of 2025!! My first time at Neighbors was on a Wednesday night for their R&B Bingo Night and honey it was a blast! After spending most of the evening/day at mamas eating gumbo we made our way back to the city for some fun. Once we arrived it was packed, music was flowing and drinks were being served. We stopped at the bar and put in orders for Prosecco and an espresso martini. During that time, I was on the prowl for a table. Lucky for us after about 10 minutes or so two people left and we secured those seats! I love the concept and you win actual cash prizes for getting bingo, can't beat that! The place is a vibe and the music was A1. I'll defintely be returning on Wednesdays as well as other themed events. They sell pizza by the slice/box. We had pepperoni and cheese. Best thing to eat when drinking in my opinion. The guy serving the pizza gave us a free slice for the wait and I thought that was nice. Check them out, we will be back!

I visited on a Saturday afternoon during the RnB & Brews -- a great time! DJ was amazing. The pizza was also delicious. I really liked the atmosphere, I'll definitely be back.

Why have I never been here before? Probably because I had no idea where I was. My son's school was having an art show in the gallery space inside of this shared building and we needed a snack. Pepperoni slice was $5 and it was delicious. Crust was perfect. They were playing some old school R&B and I was here for it. Service was fast and friendly and there was a lot of good seating around both inside and out. I hear on Monday nights they have jazz and it's worth checking out.

Awful experience. Was asked if someone i was with was here to pick up their grand kids by an insanely disrespectful security guard at the door. Immediately left and will not be back.

We stopped here on a Thursday night after an Astros game. Unfortunately the music/ DJ was just way too loud for me to enjoy myself here. It was cool that they had a live DJ though. Seating: There's indoor, outdoor, and bar seating. Unfortunately it was still too hot for us to sit outside which I think would have helped with my issue with the music volume. Food: We ordered a full pepperoni pizza. It took quite a while to come out but they covered it in pepperoni which was amazing ! It was quite greasy though and there were no napkins (I had to go up and take some cocktail napkins from the bar). Design/ decor: I actually quite liked the vibe of this place. It was pretty well done ! The only thing I'd say they could do better is back by the pizza window there's a mess of stuff and a tossed pile of board games. They could really expand to make that a cool sitting area as well.

Inside. Plenty of games to play in the couch area.

I would limit groups to 3-4 people to avoid the crowding around the wine wall. I say that because the place feels more of an intimate experience that should be reserved for solo dates, dates with your significant other, or when you really need to have a heart to heart with someone. When I went, there were two large parties and the number of tables did not compliment the size of the space; it felt too crowded with all those people there. I enjoyed the smooth process of the wine experience but warning, you'll be surprised at how much you spend at the end so come during happy hour! The menu truly complimented the wine selection; my favorite being the shrimp. My only complaint is there is a major room for improvement in the lack of sweet treats. The only option was bread pudding (which I never had) but they were "out" (I arrived 1hr after they opened on a Sunday) I recommend adding chocolate that could be paired with fruit bowl option to the menu.

We were able to snag some free street parking and wandered our way into a cute setup with mood lighting and plenty of seating. There's a central bar and plenty of outdoor patio space. You can choose between 3 or 6oz pours, or a bottle. We also decided to share a cheese board with the Willoughby cheese which was soft and delicious! I appreciated how kind and accommodating the servers were as they frequently checked on us. This is a great spot to enjoy some wine with friends, on date night, or anything really! Items we tried: Pane - delicious Roasted Carrot Pizza - AMAZING, A little spicy, but definitely something we would order again. Pastas we ordered initially came out cold - our incredible waiter immediately corrected the issue. But from a flavor profile - Pansotti - sooooo delicious. You'd never guess that it was a vegetarian option - the mushrooms were so meaty. The delicate pouches with the spinach and ricotta were heavenly. Pappardelle - The lamb braised sauce had a depth of flavor that could rival any restaurant in Italy. My only tiny hope was that the pasta would have been served aldente, it was a little overcooked. But to each his own. Overall - really great. Would recommend. This would be great for a weeknight dinner or an off the beaten path date night.

Is this the most overrated restaurant in Houston?…read more After being on my "To Try" list for an unacceptable amount of time, I finally made my way over to Nancy's Hustle. I was lucky enough to snag a seat at the bar with no reservation. I arrived about 30 minutes into open and there was already a wait list. I suggest getting there early or making a reservation if you're not a solo diner. The interior is nice and intimate, with low lighting that doesn't work well for photos but definitely for a cozy dinner. The set up and music reminded me a little bit of 93 Til due to the decor. I started with the duck dumplings and the Nancy cakes. I wasn't expecting it but they offer half orders which is great for a solo diner who wants to try multiple things. Both items were delicious. The dumplings had a nice savory sauce with some texture from the peanuts. These were great but probably my bottom of the list which is saying something. I would only say this because they reminded me a lot of the hot oil wontons from duck and bao so at that price point, you might as well get more. The Nancy cakes were pillowy and savory and made a great vessel for honey butter and roe. I even used a bit to dunk into the leftover dumpling sauce. I suggest eating these as soon as they hit your table. I was trying to savor my bites but the cakes benefit a lot from being nice and hot. It's not the most ground breaking dish in the world but it's done well and I would definitely call it a must order. I could have eating a full order of it alone. My main dishes is where my mind was blown. I went with the roast chicken and half order of the gem lettuce salad and fries. This might be the best roast chicken I've ever had in Houston. Chicken can be a hit or a miss because sometimes, there just isn't much flavor. This was absolutely not the case here. The chicken was juicy and seasoned to the core. It even heated up well as left overs without being dry. The chili sauce on the bottom was flavor intensified and as I swiped my chicken through the pools of sauce, I thought to myself "overrated where?!". The gem salad caught me by surprise. I'm not one to stay away from a salad at a restaurant because they typically do them better than you can make at home . Nancy's Hustle solidified this opinion. The salad was wonderfully briney and savory. The lettuce was crisp and covered in the herby shallot dressing that grabbed my taste buds. Topped with anchovies and pancetta for a nice salty touch. So so good. The fries were the perfect side, crisp and not too potatoey (yes this is a thing). I traded in the aoli for some ketchup because that's just my thing. I concluded this wonderful dining experience with a dessert. Buttermilk ice cream with cornflakes, black berries and honey butter cookie. This dessert was a lesson in balance. Every component was present , sweet, salty, crunchy, cool. Each bite had something new to offer and combined into a perfectly executed dessert. As a cocktail, I tried their tropical drink. I don't remember what it was called but I know I could have drank about 7 of those. This was a great dining experience. I think when things get popular, sometimes we feel the need to be contrarians with our experiences. That wasn't the case for me. Nancy's Hustle has earned its popularity and I'll definitely be back

First, we got there pretty early for our reservation. We sat almost immediately upon check in. Our waiter was in training but did a really good job. Ordered a whiskey sour. The pink one, whatever it was, was really pretty! On to the food. We got two apps, two meals, and two desserts. Husband ordered the Brussels, Steak Frites, and the Devil's Affogato. I got the Bacon covered Dates, the Pizza, and the Sticky Toffee Cake. The Brussels were good - husband liked them more than me. They were good. Had cashews in them. Little spicy. This was my second time dining here, and given the overwhelmingly positive reviews, my expectations…read morewere higher than usual. Unfortunately, just like my first visit, they were not fully met. We had reservations for brunch, and our party of six was seated immediately on the beautiful second floor. Service was efficient throughout the meal, with our waiter taking our orders promptly and the food arriving quickly. To start, we ordered the Brussels and the hummus. The Brussels were cooked very well and had an excellent crispy texture, but I felt the kung pao vinaigrette lacked the bold flavor I was expecting. A little more sweetness and acidity would have helped brighten the dish and make it more memorable. The hummus, on the other hand, pleasantly surprised me. Both the red beet hummus and edamame hummus were flavorful and enjoyable. They paired well with the crisp flatbread and even served as a nice accompaniment to some of our less exciting entrées. For my meal, I ordered the marinated artichoke pizza, which unfortunately did not stand out. I had the same issue that I experienced during my previous visit: the crust was simply too thick and chewy. After a few slices, my jaw was genuinely getting tired from all the chewing. The pizza also could have benefited from more bacon and a more generous amount of sauce, as it came across a bit dry overall. The campanelle suffered from a similar problem. While I understand that simplicity was likely the goal, the dish was so understated that it ended up feeling bland. It tasted like a slightly elevated version of buttered pasta with just a hint of white wine. There was nothing particularly wrong with it, but it lacked the depth of flavor needed to make it memorable. On a much more positive note, the carrot cake pancakes were easily the star of the meal. I tend to gravitate toward savory breakfasts, but my sister was eager to try them, and I am so glad she did. These were not your typical pancakes. They were thick, fluffy, and incredibly soft in the center. With toppings like maple butter, maple cream, mascarpone whip, candied walnuts, and cardamom sugar, I expected the dish to be overwhelmingly sweet. Surprisingly, everything was balanced quite well. While I cannot imagine finishing an entire plate by myself, anyone with a sweet tooth would absolutely love them. Overall, this restaurant continues to impress me with its atmosphere, service, and a few standout dishes, but the entrées I have tried have not lived up to the hype. If I were to return, I would happily order the hummus and carrot cake pancakes again, but I would probably skip the pizza and pasta in favor of trying something new.
