Tucked away on the ground floor of this quiet street sits Neige d'été. Unlike most other Michelin-starred restaurants, Neige d'été doesn't have any large, glaring signs with its restaurant name hanging outside. The curtain behind its small, glass-door entrance is always drawn, ensuring privacy for its customers. The restaurant name on the glass door is also fairly small, making it easy to miss the restaurant if you're not using following google map or if you're not familiar with the area. We made reservations right before they received their first Michelin star, so it was easier to get a table back then. I'm not sure if there is a direct correlation, but I found it much, much harder to make another reservation right after they received their much-deserved star. The moment I pushed through the glass door (after pacing around outside for a bit waiting for them to open up the curtain and finally realizing that they're actually ready for service), I was welcomed with a team of Japanese waitresses who took my coat and showed me where my table was. As I was waiting for my friends, I noticed how comfortable the décor made me feel. The all-white interior, paired with the wooden chairs that are slightly peeling off, offers a classy yet unpretentious dining environment where you feel very conscious of every movement. The all-glass windows that separate the dining room from the kitchen also offers the customers a chance to watch Chef Hideki Nishi and his team prepare the food as well as for the chefs to see the customers' reactions and whether they need to start preparing the next course for the table. The service from the moment we stepped foot inside the restaurant to the moment they helped us put our jackets on was, unsurprisingly, spectacular. It's no surprise that Neige d'été would be awarded with a Michelin star and I'm sure it's a restaurant that I would like to go back again and again (I already paid a second visit and as long as I can still afford it and can make a reservation)!

Our first meal arriving in Paris and it did not disappoint! We had the 4 course tasting menu with a wonderful combination of seafood and meats. The plating is what one would expect at a Michelin rated restaurant: clean lines with complex layers and colorful notes to make it pop. The service was wonderful and attentive. My hubby had the chicken which was super succulent and tender with amazing risotto. I ordered the pork option for my entree and was my least favorite dish. Although portions of it was tender, the cut of the pork had pieces of very tough tendon that was not edible. I should have ordered the beef dish as it looked really good at other tables. The chef greeted us at the end of our meal. You can tell he really puts his all in his cooking. Overall, it was a delightful experience and a place I'd frequent if I lived in Paris. Great work Chef and Congrats to your Michelin Star!!!

We we lucky to be able to get reservations last mins that our hotel help us book. The places is very simple but elegent. The service is on point! And the food...OMG the food was mouthwatering. I will let the photos speak for themselves. No filters needs since the food presentation was genius! Only thing was the wine that poured was bit on the light handed side and for 10 euros a pour only wished there was more per pour. My glass was not even a 1/4 full when they poured it. Ended up paying for a half a cup of wine for 20 euros. Otherwise my experience was excellent and would go again. From the effiel tower it's about a 15 mins walk.

This is it. I came to Paris thinking I have to have the best dinner of my life somewhere in this city. I started looking around on Monday for a Saturday dinner for 1 but 9 out of 10 places I asked were all booked. I went on food blogs etc looking for a clue but didn't find anything I wanted so I decided to take a risk and try this place that opened 2 months ago. Probably one of the best decisions I made in 2014. I cannot imagine how hard it is for a Japanese chef to cook traditional French in Paris, which isn't rare but based on my experience can most certainly end dismal. The dishes here have fantastic flavors and every single cut of fish and meat was cooked perfectly. Waiters here do not speak English lol and I felt so bad for not being able to speak French/Japanese but they went out of their way to try to help me. I also loved the pull-out drawer holding utensils. Wine pairing was insane as well. Please. Just do yourself a favor and come here.

The richness of the flavor and the texture which is not reminiscent of the traditional roasted duck or foie gras, but rather a much more like a luxurious and indulgent version. We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

They had a number of goods to choose from and I ended up buying a few things for souvenirs. As for the actual restaurant, they had a number of delicious sounding items on their menu. Our server was very attentive to us and helped us decide on our dinner orders. Similar to the other restaurants though. After our food was delivered, it was far in between when we were checked on again. And after dessert it took even longer for our server to bring the bill. Overall, the food was a letdown. I do not exaggerate when I say that the frog legs just tasted like slightly flavored water. My friend's ravioli had a fairly decent flavored sauce but the pasta was a bit chewy. My friend's duck breast was pretty tough; I had noticed the table next to us also ordered it and they seemed to have trouble finishing/cutting theirs as well. As for my steak with foie gras, well the steak was once again tough and the foie gras was weirdly stringy. It was soft for the most part but there were parts that were tough and stringy. Maybe that's a section that's generally separated in the preparation process and it was missed? In any case it was disappointing. What wasn't disappointing was dessert though; perfectly sweet and balanced.
