One of my crave worthy foods is definitely chaat. If you know what that is...there are like 1000 different varieties and yes I love them all. Neehees is perfect for when nothing else will do except for desi street style food. I say style be a use there's no duplicate for the real thing but neehees does it well for suburban chatpatay bites. I'll e the delhi chaat, Raj kachori, Ice cream, pani puri, dosas. Gobi Manchurian, chole bature, pakoras and the list never ends. Pretty good variety. Very clean and spacious. Some items lacked salt, but was ok. Hakka noodles were the best, not too spicy, just perfect! Ice cream flavors were very good and unique. They have a live gol gappa stand for members only. They could use a drink menu as there was no option, but had a fridge with pop and lassi's. Good place if you are craving chaat and such snacks! I am a big fan of the original Canton, MI location. Since I moved to Chicago, I have missed Neehees. It was a very pleasant surprise when I found out they had a location in Illinois. The food was mostly good. I still feel the proportions of the sauces in chaats were not as good as the Canton location but much better than typical Indian restaurant in the midwest. We ordered schezwan cheese vada pav, dahi samosa chaat, chole tikki chaat, chana chaat and mumbai college grill sandwich. Would def order the vada pav and tikki chaat again. The samosas are typically smashed in samosa chaat that way they hold more of the sauces. Here they kept the samosas whole, so the sauces didnt stay on the samosas. The sandwich and chana chaat were okay. Would definitely recommend Neehees to anyone who is missing chaat or wants to try Indian street food. read more

I had the grand gurati thali (costs 19.99$) which didn't even have any authentic gurati items - it had chole, South Indian aloo Subzi, culet, raita etc. My kids had chaat but for the 10$ price, their taste wasn't great. I am a HUGE fan of Indian Street Food so I was so excited to come eat here after it opened. Finally got to visit and I loved everything - I only wish I was able to try more stuff. Their menu is huge so it was hard to figure out what to get because I wanted everything. I got the paneer chili, papdi chaat, and bombay veggie grill sandwich. Portions were much bigger than I expected it to be and everything was tasy & spicy. My favorite thing was definitely the paneer chili. I have noticed when Indian customers walk in, they just look and come to take order when time but as soon as non Indian walk in, they start communicating nicely and asking how they are doin. Why? We did go and order food couple of time Food quality is lien forzen food. They made samosa from frozen outside it was hot and inside it was cold. Later on we found that , everything is frozen and premade they just mix it up and serve in nice tray. Ambience was great cool display and nice seating Over priced menu for street food. Tried their vada pav and dabeli. Both items taste was closest to Mumbai street food. Don't think any other place in chicago area comes close in terms of taDabeli was toasted, this made the bread hard to chew after few minutes. Ideally it should be roasted. Ambiance is simple & clean. Taken away 1 star for its pricing. All items are rather expensive .1 humble vada pav is for $5! 1 adult meal will cost you almost $13-15 and it's a fast food place! The manager had the audacity to get angry when I asked how long my order will take. I had mistakenly put my order device down on the table a bit hard and he told me not to slam things. I then replied that it's inappropriate to tell me what to do. He then said that I was "acting like shit". Before this, the waiters were barely responding to my questions about the food on the menu and would randomly walk away for long periods as I was trying to give my order. Mind you there was literally one other person they were waiting on so it was not busy. Asking how long a simple cup of chai would take is not unreasonable. Reacting with explicit, cuss words is unreasonable. My sister is a vegetarian and she got to pick lunch. My parents have lived next to this place for a few years and this was the first time we got them to try it. I will say that their website made it very easy for people who aren't familiar with Indian food to find some good picks! I went for the Special Bhel Puri and wow I loved it! The rice puffs were such a unique but awesome texture added in with the chcikpeas it was super delicious. I loved the flavor it wasn't too different than enjoying a chipotle bowl and you can control how spicy it is. My sister had the Papdi Chat, my mom got the Neehee's Special Chat, my dad had paneer, and we ordered Gobi Manchurian for the table. My sister ordered all of our food as mild just so that we could really taste all the flavors and had a baseline for ordering next time. So we really didn't know what to expect but my dish, my sister's, and my moms are all cold dishes. My dads dish and the one we got for the table are served warm. I tried everyone's dish. I will say my favorites were my own and the one we got for the table. I am not an big yogurt fan and my mom and sister's dish both had yogurt in them. I still thought they tasted good but I wouldn't be able to eat a whole dish of it. The Gobi Manchurian was fantastic! It's a fried cauliflower with a spicy sauce on it and it reminded me a lot of Cajun chicken! I devoured the whole meal and it was super filling. I would order the Special Bhel Puri and the Gobi Manchurian again for sure! This place is the perfect spot to mix up your regular lunch routine. read more

Heard a lot about this place and finally decided to go and check this place out. Not very crowded for a Friday evening. We ordered veg Hakka noodles, spring dosa & Bombay sandwich and Aloo puri. The sandwich was very good just like you get in Mumbai. The dosa was ok but the chutney was disappointing hence 4 stars. Aloo puri was good too, noodles were little spicy but tasty. Overall a good experience. I would recommend others to try their food. I will surely go next time to try their chat items. read more

I just spoke to Hanover park location person named romi or Ronit patel(but he could've given me wrong name and I just inquired about $1 masala dosa deal asking "is there a limit on how many one person can order" and this person got mad and game me a rude more of a very negative answer saying "one person can only eat one dosa" and hung up the phone . I called back and asked him his name and he said romi and I asked what's his last name and he said just like my last name and didn't have me his last name. This phone experience has made me cancel my plan for today's visit at neehee. This person sounded very mad and told me to get off phone because he has to answer other customer's phone call. I told him "do you want me to reach out to Neehee at Michigan" and he didn't care and said yes go ahead. I'm surprised that neehee is still open for business with this type of employees working there and don't care about customers. If this email is being read by corporate than I would like to get a reply about this situation today. I hope you get a business with this type of open disrespect rude behavior of employees working there with customers.  Food is not that great and terrible customer service specially today's experience and honestly speaking there are plenty of Indian restaurants in the are who have much much better dosa. Any place you go , whether it's a restaurant or other businesses, the first impression is the best impression. My experience was highly frustrating! I was there yesterday with my family to try this restaurant. You order , you pay and then wait for your dishes . There was a big line and one poor guy was serving the patrons . I had to wait for almost thirty minutes to get my turn . On a Saturday evening , why can't they open up another counter so that there is less irritation and frustration among waiting customers? I ordered Chole Pathura and horrified to see the bread ( pathura )' cold as hell . Looks like they prepare everything before and just heat the stuff before serving . Their prices are also total rip off . That's it ! I will never undergo the torture of visiting the restaurant again . Big Suchir in Downers grove serves the best chat In Chicago land area . Their quantity is more for the very nominal price they' charge and food is prepared fresh before serving. My wife , who was.brought up in Mumbai is certain that the chat available in Big Suchir is highly authentic and almost equal to Mumbai quality Please stay away from Neehees . This is by far our go-to place for Indian / Gujarati Fast Food. We order from here at least once a week. Some of our go to dishes: Gujarati Thali, Methi Gota, Sandwiches, Dosa, Dabeli, Vada Pav. They also have amazing Indian flavor ice creams. I am bummed that they don't deliver those to your home, but if you happen to go to their location, I would definitely get it. They had a promotion going on chinese but never mentioned it while ordering. Once you order and realize it the next second They refuse. Satisfied a screaming craving at NeeHee's yesterday. First time visit and was not disappointed. They do have lunch specials, for less cost than other restaurants. I had the Masala Dosa and thought it was wonderful. The server was very friendly and patient with me. The restaurant was clean with an open atmosphere and well lit with music and TVs. I go here all the time and it's so good. The idlis are big. The vada is one of the best things ever. It's crispy on the outside and flavorful on the inside. The coconut chutneys taste so fresh and is better than others I have tried before. Everything always tastes fresh. The chole puri/bhature is one of my favorites and is a good classic to try if it is your first time trying this type of food. The red onions and lime perfectly compliment it as well. Another one of my favorites is the undihu puri. If you want to try something really new and different, try the fried idli chat. I've never seen idli like that before. It is a unique take on the classic dish. Deep fried idli bites with all the chat toppings. I was very surprised and happy with that dish. The mini idli sambar is very cute. I don't usually drink dairy but the sweet lassi is amazing. Also the ice cream are another thing to definitely try! The flavors are all so unique and the ice creams are just so rich. Overall highly recommend this place. Prices are kind of expensive and the wait is a little long sometimes but the food is always tasty, hot, and fresh. read more

I visited the this place 2nd time since they open. I thought 1st time was a mistake and decided to give them 2nd chance but it was a huge mistake and here is why. Salt content in all my dishes was 4 times more than normal despite of asking person who took order. 1. Grilled baby corn was served in less than 5 min there is no way any chef can cool that quickly. Definitely it was precooked dish they warmed up. 2. Pav Bhaji with dry old buns and extra salty bhaji. That took them 20 min to make. 3. Masala Dosa was eatable but cold sambhar. Worst part was They charge 2.49 for a regular water bottle of Aquafina, it felt like I was @ airport. This place is not even high end restaurant. They have free water but no glasses were available and despite of asking they did not put more clean glasses. Another bad trick of making money. They have high prices like high end restaurant but service is like a zero class. They have hired uneducated staff who does not even know how to greet customers. Same guy who was taking orders was cleaning table and picking up dishes. Save your money and Health!!! read more
