I had a design that ideally wasn't possible to do, but the owner Forrest discussed some different alternatives and we came to a solution. Very friendly and personable people here, his wife was so kind to ask me if I wanted anything from the store whilst I was getting tattooed, shop is nice and clean, laid back atmosphere with good conversation and good music if you happen to like Rock! I was already weary when the gent said he couldn't do an outline of a heart but I thought I'd still give it a chance bc the reviews were good. He recommended we get a red heart filled in so we said alright. I could tell he had a heavy hand and I sit pretty well through these types of artists but this guy took the cake. Anyway flash forward to a week later and it still hurt badly and looks like a burn. All 3 of our arms have been mutilated. This is wild.... I've never had such poor work on my body. literally stopped by to inquire about a piercing. They said they took appointments and to come back at 5. I asked again 5? Yes, I was told. I get there greeted by some man who said have a seat and she'll be with you. No one spoke to me again for a whole hour and "she" had just started a tattoo. Why come back at 5 if that time was not available?? Not one word from anyone and they don't care if you wait or leave. To them it's just a piercing. With the pandemic you would imagine that they would want the business. All the cared about was going home. He could've helped us real quickly. read more

An acquaintance got a piercing here because they had a good tattoo experience. It went bad and had to be removed by a plastic surgeon. Other piercing artist said the piercing was improperly done, which led to the problem. They agreed to refund the money, but then they posted to FB calling my acquaintance "entitled" and other stupid crap. Turns out they didn't even refund half, which is not what was agreed. It boggles my mind that a shop reliant on word-of-mouth and personal relationships would jeopardize that over $50 or whatever. Take your business elsewhere, these guys might be decent tattooists but they are jerks. read more

I don't remember his name. A big guy with a bald head. Not a big talker, and didn't really seem to have a pleasant kind of personality. I went in maybe close to 2 years ago and asked for a cover up of Capt. Billy's name tattooed along the side of my foot. This man made a HUGE MESS out what he proposed as a floral cover up. He was SO HEAVY HANDED, my foot was the size of a football for 2 months! It was scarlet red and SO swollen I couldn't wear shoes for almost 8 weeks. I contacted him with photos of it and also let him know the ink had spread up under the skin all the way up to my little toe and the colors of the outline of the "flowers" had run. It looked terrible! He admitted it looked really bad,but he said when the swelling went down and it healed to come in and he would do what he could do to fix it. No charge. Absolutely NO WAY would I EVER let him touch my foot again! I actually thought I was going to lose my foot! My friend that is a nurse told me to go to a Dermatologist that said it was infected of course. The dermatologist asked what the tattoo was and then asked what were all the gray dots under the so called flowers. It was pretty embarrassing! Now I'm stuck with this ugly tattoo on my foot that the lines and colors have run under the skin and there's nothing I can do about it. I wish I would've left it alone. At least the script of Capt. Billy's was feminine and now I have this big ugly blob on my foot! And btw, I've NEVER had an infection of any kind, and always kept A&D on it and followed all directions just as I always have with all my other tattoos. I need some more work done on other tattoos, but I will NEVER recommend nor return to that place! For ONCE I'd like my tattoo work to reflect a good artist! One that really cared about their quality of work. I always seem to get the crappiest work done. I would be so thrilled to be able to show off beautiful work... I'm just a 65 year old woman that only wanted a pretty floral tat. I'm not young and pretty anymore so I guess I kinda get left out when it comes to anybody caring about what means something nice to me. I'm not wealthy so I didn't have the money to go back and have him look at it again and see what he could do, even if I wanted to. You know I feel that if he wasn't interested in doing that for me, or it wasn't his thing, he could have just referred me to someone that would've done the little bit I wanted. I wasn't asking for much. Just put some tiny flowers in the script even if you couldn't read the script, just make it look sweet. Obviously all he wanted was my hundred$ bill. Now instead of living the rest of my life out with something petite and elegant, I have this big ugly blob on my foot. I hate this thing...And for all the rest of my days. Sad. read more

My boyfriend and I went here on Friday to check this place out. We worked with Forest and he did a fantastic Day of the Dead forearm tattoo for my man. The price was very good, the shop was clean and Forest was alot of fun. He is the master of color and because my boyfriend had some tattoos already started on this arm, Forest was able to work the color and new tattoo into the existing beautifully. Great experience! Had my nipples pierced here today and was glad this was the shop I chose. The staff was friendly, professional, and seemed to really care about their clients. I went in and the piercer was helping another customer with a tattoo and told me it would be a few minutes but I could go ahead and start filling out the paper work. He finished with the other client and I was out of there in ten minutes. His work was thorough and very sanitary, which is very important to me. The owner was pretty rude to my friends and I when we went in. My friend asked for a tattoo - got patronizing commentary about the tattoo she's chosen to get. I wanted to get a second lobe piercing, and besides him telling me to shut up at some point (seriously), the piercings in each ear weren't even and I ended up having to take them out. I guess he didn't do a shit job on my friend's tattoo, though, so he's fine at that one aspect of his job. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. I've been to this place twice and I've never had a good experience with them. If I call to make an appointment they are rude about. One of the tattoos I got from them is completely faded and I only got it a year ago. You can see in random places where they went too deep and then not deep enough. This is by far the worst tattoo place I've ever been to and I have 11 tattoos and being in the military I travel a lot and have been to a lot of different parlors. My granddaughter got a nose piercing that was done improperly which required a cosmetic surgeon's help in correcting it (it had become ingrown due to the stud not being the proper length) and a considerable expense to correct this. We had been planning to get tattoos together there but not now! In addition, the piercing person posted some inappropriate comments that has caused cyper bullying of my granddaughter. I have several tattoos but have not been to Needlewerx until today. I met a friend there to get a small word done on my foot as a show of support for a fellow friend who has cancer. I made an appointment with Gus for 3:30. I got there a few minutes early, was the only customer there and having never met him, asked the only person there if he was Gus, he said he was, asked me my name and said he'd be with me in a bit. Several minutes passed and I asked if I should fill out the paperwork, he said sure, I did and I waited some more. He finally got to me, I told him I was part of the group that had come in last week and I was there to get the same tattoo. I said I wasnt sure about placement since I already have things on my forearms, one is a design that faces toward me, and he asked if I always have things upside down? I think he was trying to be funny, but it came off snarky, but I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. I decided on my foot and he got things ready and pulled out a razor to shave the top of my foot. I don't have hair on my feet, at all. So I said, I don't have hair on my feet, he said well everyone has peach fuzz. Then he proceeded to say, "you may be in charge of every other aspect of your life, but this is my realm and I'm in charge here." I should have gotten up and left right there. I'm kicking myself for staying. My girlfriends were there and I suppose that's why I didn't leave but I wanted to kick him in the face. My friends came back where I was as he began and at one point I bumped my knee of the foot that he was working on and he snapped so hard at me. He said, "what made you think that was a good idea to hit your leg as hard as you could? Whatever made you think that was a good idea?" I literally bumped my knee with my hand. He had a hold of my foot and nothing happened to the design, which took 3 minutes tops and he charged me $50. I asked to pay him so I could just get out of there and began to offer him my debit card and he said it was cash only. I told him I had no idea it was cash only and would need to go to an ATM and then made a comment about how he assumed my family would have told me it was cash only since they had all been in last week. I told him they weren't family, they're my friends and nope, that hadn't been shared. He was rude, condescending and just plain mean. I will never got to Gus wherever he is or Needlewerx again. read more

Came to Needlewerx on a recommendation for Forrest's work. I brought my own sketch and gave him the "go ahead" to take artistic license, and the result couldn't have been any better. Forrest turned it into an incredible piece that has already received numerous compliments. A friend of mine got her nose pierced here, the piercing sunk into her skin and she had to have it removed by a plastic surgeon. She followed all the instructions. She asked for a full refund and he agreed to it, then he posted on FB asking for the public's opinion. Then without consulting her, he only gave her a partial refund. I do not recommend this business, the are very unprofessional and rude. read more

I got a great tattoo here and I was recommending it to everyone. Then, I got my nose pierced. The piercing sunk into my nose and I had to have it removed by a plastic surgeon. They pierced it in the wrong place and using the wrong jewelry, according to another piercer I went to. I called and asked for a full refund including the tip. Forrest (the piercer and shop owner) agreed to refund me. He then took to Facebook and posted about me (anonymously), asking other people if they thought he should refund my money. He ended up not even refunding me half of what I paid, which is not what we agreed upon. The entire experience was extremely unprofessional. My husband and I went into Needlewerx and Forrest worked on our arms. My husbands tattoo turned out okay but he ruined mine! He pushed so hard on me and my arm that he went into the fleshy layer and my arm looks bruised! I have other tattoos and he is the first person that hurt me while pushing so hard. He was working on a sensitive/thin part of my arm and ruined my tattoo! I am very upset because it can't be fixed!! read more
