UPDATE: the owner reached out to us directly and was SO kind and willing to resolve this issue with a refund. he said manuel won't be piercing from here on out to avoid further situations like this. i'm extremely pleased with the way the owner Daniel handled the situation. i will def still go back for tattoos in the future! I had a really disappointing and unsafe experience with Manuel at Legacy Tattoo. He pierced my tongue completely wrong and the process was not sanitary at all. He didn't use a clamp, which is standard for proper placement and safety, and he also used the wrong jewelry size -- there was zero room for swelling, which is extremely dangerous for a fresh tongue piercing. I've had other piercings done and this was by far the most unprofessional experience I've ever had. I would not recommend getting pierced here, especially for something as sensitive as a tongue piercing. Not to mention, when i went back to confront him about it, he got immediately defensive and rude about it and took no accountability. read more

Took our 2 month old daughter here to get her ears pierced. We knew we wanted to avoid any places that use piercing guns & wanted a piercer to do it with a piercing needle. So many piecing places wouldn't pierce babies, & would only pierce kids 5 & up. After a ton of searching we finally came across Legacy that would pierce her ears. Johnny did an awesome job & was so patient with letting us feed her & calm her down after the 1st ear so he could safely do the 2nd ear. They turned out beautiful & look so good. Came in at 6-7 today with my gf and our best friend, all 3 of us got our eyebrows done (two of us the first time and the other their second) Mika was super friendly and very professional He took his time and made sure that we were comfortable, well informed and educated on what was happening and more than happy to answer any questions. I reached out to this artist and sent a detailed message and a reference photo about what tattoo I would like to get and we scheduled an appointment for 9 AM and i sent over my deposit. He messaged me the night before to confirm and confirmed the appointment for the following morning. I show up to the shop on time for my appointment to find a message from him on IG asking to reschedule for 10 AM. once I get in the shop, he was rushing me and told me he had scheduled someone for 11 AM. This is a line work tattoo, so I asked him to move the stencil around so that we could get it in the middle of my arm. I could tell he was getting frustrated. He also did not have his chair wrapped and he did not shave my arm prior to placing the stencil or tattooing. overall I did not have a good experience I felt rushed, and I didn't feel like the artist cared to make sure that I had a tattoo that I was satisfied with there was also one part of the tattoo that I knew I really wanted, regardless of how it was going to look, and he kept going back-and-forth with me saying it would not look good and then didn't end up doing that part of the tattoo. I walked out of the shop with permanent marker all over my hands, and the stencil still under my tattoo, very purple. Will not be going back to the shop. read more

I am going to apologize for the extremely long post, but I just have too many good things to say about my experience with Legacy Tattoo's shop. It all started with a last minute decision to get a Friday the 13th tattoo on 12-13-19. My partner and I had found the perfect tattoos for us, but sadly the shops doing it on their flash sheet were closed. We called and visited numerous other shops in the northern Austin area and had no luck at anyone wanting to do our dainty tattoos, along with very rude responses when asking. Onto downtown to dredge through the traffic, we had the same bad luck and had nearly given up. This is when we had our first encounter with Legacy Tattoo in Round Rock, where I spoke to an extremely friendly receptionist who not only gave me some of the best service I've ever had from a tattoo parlor, but also walked me through where to see their tattoos. Back up north we go, but last minute I spot Legacy Tattoos sister shop in Austin! We walk in to be greeted by staff that was no where near as frantic and stressed as any of the other. Cynthina (who to find out later is the shop owner, and had an amazing story for how the shop was opened as her fathers legacy) was more than happy to get us signed in and agree to do our little tattoos. Onto Derek, the tattoo realtor, as he did our 5 minute tattoos. He had great conversation and was very professional while being very upbeat after what I could only imagine as a hell of a day (if you have ever been to a Friday the 13th tattoo fest, you know what I mean). I went to Legacy a few weeks ago to get my first tattoo. Daniel was great when explaining some of the best places to put it and what would look nice. Their register wasn't working so we used Venmo which is fine. My fiancé wanted to get a tattoo as well but there were a lot of people waiting so we were told to make an appointment. We have tried calling, texting and used Facebook messenger with no response at all. Why tell someone to make an appointment and then never respond? I would definitely not recommend this place to get piercings done. The guy who was going to do my piercing went outside to smoke a cigarette before doing it which is fine with me I get ppl need to take breaks for sure BUT the fact he didn't even wash his hands after he was done then was touching the jewelry he was going to pierce me with, with his bare hands that were not clean NO WAY! The room area did not look clean as well. He was rude to my friend that came with me and was on face time with someone while showing me the jewelry so we left. I do not recommend coming here. My worst and most painful experience at a tattoo and piercing shop ever!!! And my pain tolerance is high as I've had three of the most painful piercings done all together on the same ear!!! So, I walked in, wait for my turn and then explained to the guy at the counter (who didn't even introduce himself) that my daith piercing, that I've had since January, fell out maybe 30 minutes prior and I was having trouble putting the curved bar bell back in. Normally I would go to my regular piercer but I was in the area and scared it would close up so I decided to stop by. I told him it was my daith piercing and he was looking at it trying to see the holes and then all of a sudden WITHOUT WARNING HE STUCK HIS FINGERS IN MY EAR!!! I pulled back and told him it hasn't fully healed yet and he then told me that it had to be re-pierced and I would be charged more for it. I said okay after he said he can probably just put it back in for $10. We go behind the counter and he finally puts on gloves. I hand him my jewelry which he sterilizes with some kind of solution and then he says he's going to sterilize my piercing which he does with an ALCOHOL PAD on an UNHEALED PIERCING!! As my ear is burning he tries to put the jewelry in by shoving it in for 5 minutes. He says he's never pierced a daith before and didn't know it was that far in. I can feel blood running down my ear and after it's finally back in he tries to put the ball back on several times and trying out different tools while PULLING ON MY PIERCING!! I am visibly in pain and saying ouch the whole time which he just says sorry and keeps pulling. He then cleans up the blood and my piercing with another alcohol pad which makes my ear burn and heat up for the second time!! After he's finally done he says that they only accept cash or cash app, they don't have any kind of card reader so I head straight for the ATM by the waiting area. He keeps asking if I just have cash app and I keep saying no, after I withdraw money I go to hand him $20 and he says he doesn't have small bills. If you accept cash payments you should have small bills for change! After he asks again if I just have cash app and after telling him no for the 4th time he just says don't worry about it, so after saying sorry for not paying I leave. Honestly, I'm glad he didn't make me pay because that entire experience was DREADFUL. With so many red flags I should have walked out but I was desperate. When I finally got home my parents noticed how red my ear was and took a picture and saw that it was all covered in blood. DON'T COME HERE FOR ANY TYPE OF SERVICE!! If they're comfortable putting their fingers in a healing wound and don't know how to properly sterilize a freaking piercing then they shouldn't be open for any type of business dealing with needles!! read more

If anyone was ever thinking about checking out Legacy Tattoos, specifically Daniel Maverick, don't. I was recommended to him from a friend of mine, I went ahead and checked out his work and everything looked awesome! Looks trustworthy, his art is great and I wanted to book ASAP! I messaged him October 18th wanting to schedule an appointment, life hit me and I couldn't get on his schedule until December. During this conversation, he mentioned that he will need $400 to hold a full day session, he never mentioned how long the sessions were or how much he charged per hour. I mentioned that I wasn't comfortable paying the full $400 and asked if I can put down $100 deposit and pay the rest when it's done, which he agreed with. When scheduling an appointment he was very straight forward and blunt, he did take a little bit to respond, which is completely understandable as everyone gets busy. He would ask if everything was still good with the times and days. As our conversations went on he was responding with one worded responses. After the first session, I noticed that the shop wasn't very unprofessional and everything was very dim. As well as, he didn't use my original reference photo!!!! I've never heard of an artist not using the clients reference picture. Daniel didn't speak to me or look at me until I spoke to him first, I was noticing he was getting frustrated so I just stopped talking and was on my phone the whole time. Before my second session, I sent him the $400 in total that he was originally asking for. The day of my appointment, he said he crashed his car and wasn't able to make it. I didn't hear back from him for 3 days! I then asked for a refund, in hopes I would get an appointment since he was only giving me very short responses and he said he didn't have enough money to give me a refund. We rescheduled my second session, the sessions are usually 4 hours long. While getting tattooed he was asking me if I took any pills or was drinking the night before, I said no and he reponds telling me my blood is very thin and he was going to try his best to tattoo me since the ink wasn't staying because of how much blood was coming out. I know I had a full meal before arriving and there should've been no reason to bleed that much. He only tattooed me for an hour and 15 minutes and walked out to talk to his friends outside and quickly came back in telling me he has to go so he's gonna try to make it quick. Therefore, the session was only 2 hours long. After he told me he was going to reach out to me, I ended up texting him since I didn't hear anything from him. When he finally responds we reschedule... yet again! I texted him asking if we were still on for that day... He didn't reply for HOURS! When I showed up to the tattoo shop his car was there and the only car that was there. I tried going inside the doors were locked, I went home and he responded to me HOURS after our "appointment." He told me he hurt his hand.. no communication about this whatsoever. Wasting my time and money! Several days have been taken away from me due to "rescheduling." I asked for my refund back once again and yet no response, he only read it. Now when I look at my tattoo, the eyes are different shape and sizes. The shading looks faded, when I left the shop it was very dark and when I was washing my tattoo I noticed all of the ink fall out and it wasn't dark anymore it was faded! Even after he tattooed me!!! The shape of his face wasn't original since the second session we did, he did this horrible shading outside of the linework previously done! The linework is barely there after all of this! DO NOT GO TO DANIEL AT LEGACY TATTOO!!! This isn't the $800 worth of work! I DO NOT WANT TO RESCHEDULE AT ALL WITH HIM!! I just would like a refund of the work that wasn't done. I cannot speak for the tattoo shop as I didn't have contact with anyone else working there. I put the work Daniel did for me and my reference picture. read more

Really would like to make this 4.5 stars, but that's not a choice. Had a great experience here with Mika and Alex. Came in Sunday with some ideas and Alex sat down and helped draw it into something really elegant. She wasnt available the days I was, but set me up with an appointment with Mika for the next day. Mika was great-- really gentle hand (good because it was a rib tattoo and hurt like a b****). He did a great job with the color and also just generally being a nice guy to spend 5 hours with. Price was incredibly reasonable, even though we were ready to pay more than he charged us. Only reason for the 4 stars is inter-office communication. I am not a tough guy and had asked another person in the shop about numbing cream beforehand, and he said I could definitely do it. He was there when we did the stencil, but I guess the message never got to my artist (no one asked right before, and I am not experienced enough to have brought it up), and we put the stencil on without the cream, so I had to do the whole outline without it, which probably made it take much longer than it had to (my fault for being a wuss, but I was upfront about being a wuss and tried to head that off). Did get the cream for the color work and it came out great. Just wish we'd done it for the outline too to save us both time. Anywho, great place, just make sure if you want the numbing cream you make it really clear to your artist (not anyone else) beforehand. Mika is GREAT though, and my husband is going to be working with him for his next piece as well! read more

This place is a cool little spot some of the artist portfolios are awesome but I went in to get two tattoos on back of my thigh fairly cheap compared to everyone else in round rock unfortunately you get what you pay for it's now been about 4-5 weeks and my tattoos are fully healed and are horribly scarred very risen and can feel it to the touch idk if he was an apprentice or just a very heavy head but now what was supposed to be cute is now a scarred tattoo from a professional shop...
