This was my third experience at Good Times Tattoo, and my first with Aaron Dor tattooing me. I made the appointment a month ago; he books up. He listened to me about the adjustments I wanted on his drawing, and we discussed the colors in detail. Since I got light-headed the last 2 times, he had me lay on their table to get this tattoo. He did an amazing job, and we had a great conversation the entire time he was working. I fully recommend Aaron and Cody at Good Times Tattoo. read more

Went in for a consult for a cover up, not really knowing what I wanted other than to have my previous tattoo completely gone. Johnny went through some flash books with me to find my style and we landed on a piece in no time. From start to finish Johnny was professional, knowledgeable, and great company throughout. 3 sessions and 10 hours later I left with a piece I couldn't be more happy with. Highly recommend this shop. read more

A great place to get a custom and unique tattoo. Johnny took the time to figure out what I wanted the final piece to look like and drew a custom piece just for me. I am glad to know it's original art and not the same tattoo my girlfriends last four boyfriends all had. If you want a tattoo that's gonna look good for longer than your last relationship go to Good Times Tattoo. read more

I got my first tattoo done a couple months back here and they did a fantastic job! I gave them a small outline and then asked the artist to put his artistic spin on it and it turned out even better than I thought it could be! Absolutely love it! I could tell the design wasn't the artists normal style but he was super professional and willing to try it out. Getting my second one from them today. 4 stars because I don't recommend this shop to everyone- If you aren't ready to be nice/cordial I get the vibe they won't be with you. If you are having a bad day and want to take it out on someone maybe try another place. I personally love that vibe so it works well with me! Have plans for many more tattoos here. read more

Amazing artists! I've been here 5 times working on a sleeve and every time, I'm even more amazed. The guys are friendly, knowledgeable, and downright impressive. They always make me feel welcome and comfortable. Got an idea? Email them and they'll make sure you get matched with your perfect artist. I just can't say enough good things about them. read more

Can't recommend enough! I was referred here by close friends who have a ton of work by Aaron. Aaron was phenomenal, very kind, entertaining, and a master at his craft. The shop was welcoming and in tip top shape when it came to sterilization and cleanliness. I'll definitely be going back read more

I was trying to make an appointment multiple time but no response, I figured they will respond to me via email. yes I might not be savvy about making appointment online! But I fallowed the step, I figure they will just contact me Through email to make the time or date for an appointment. But this response was inappropriate for business! ..the last sentence was I hope you haven't died yet!!! Was unprofessional for a business.. read more

Good Times Tattoo Studio - Tattoo Near Me - Round Rock, Texas

So... my experience is from Jan 2019. Me, my dad and my brother wanted to get a tattoo that my older brother had, it's very simple numbers, but we wanted it done for the 1 year anniversary of my older brother's passing. i wanted to do my research beforehand and get everything done and squared away. i knew when the day came to get the tattoo that we were going to have a difficult time with the grief we have. I called ahead of time to talk to someone about the tattoo design and setting up an appointment. Telling, them we're getting a tattoo in honor of my brother that passed, they told me to come to the store. I came to the store with my dad to talk about the tattoo design and to set up an appointment. The people in the shop were just standing around with maybe one person getting a tattoo. They wouldn't even look at what we wanted and they told us there was no need to make an appointment and just to walk in on the saturday. We leave. Well, the day comes to get the tattoo. The three of us drive there and we go into the store and I repeat what I said the other night. There were no available artists for another hour and a half. We had to wait around for someone to do our tattoo. In the end, the guy who did the tattoo matched what late brother had as his tattoo. However, the entire situation could've gone a lot more smoothly with better customer service. The time was very emotional for all of us and the tattoo place didn't make it much easier. read more

Love my tattoo I got yesterday. Mike P is a very talented guy. The location is immaculate, professional and had great music. Mike had drawn it up better than I'd hoped. Added some great touches, including background color. Already planning my next visit. read more

Hope they have repeat business lined up... because at least one of them is just rude. Don't have walk ins if you seriously just don't like or want business. And from what I've seen of the work, way better artists and customer service around the corner. No one touching my skin that treats ppl that way. read more

I came in on a Sunday. The guy asked how he could help us. So, I told him I just needed a tiny thing on my hand. He then immediately asked, "are you a tattoo artist!?" I was literally going to see if he could fill in a faded heart a centimeter tall, and a centimeter wide with red. He didn't even ask what it was, or tell me to make an appointment. Sometimes when the place is real busy (it was not) they'll just tell you to make an appointment, which is fine. But I guess that's too complicated of a project for this shitty "artist". I've never been to a tattoo shop where the artist was that dismissive and rude without even knowing what I actually wanted. It was the middle of the day. I wasn't drunk, or anything that might warrant that reaction. I simply answered the question that he asked. Avoid, unless you enjoy being condescended to and talked down to by a prima donna who acts like he is doing you a favor, and doesn't seem to realize a tattoo shop is a business. These people don't seem to realize that the same people testing the waters at a particular shop with something small today, are the same people that will walk in for something more complex another day. I drove over to Atomic Tattoo the same day, encountered a more professional environment, and was in and out in 15 minutes. read more

I love this shop! Very clean and great vibes + the artists here are very talented (especially Cody Jones - highly recommend). Thanks for being awesome! read more

This tattoo studio gave us the experience of a lifetime!!! After YEARS of begging our mom to get matching tattoos with us, she finally did! We called a couple other places but they were booked, only did large tattoos, etc. We called Good Times and they told us we could walk in and possibly be seen if no one else had already booked or beat us to availability. We literally feel SO BLESSED that Good Times was where we ended up!!! Cody was so friendly and funny, making the experience a total blast! We requested 3 hearts on the wrist...just a little something we found on Pinterest. His station and tools were all perfectly clean. Our hearts were perfectly drawn and all follow-up instructions clear. Cody gave us a memory that will be with us forever. read more

everytime i've gone on for work i've had a wonderful experience and staff was very polite

If I can give zero stars I would. The short old looking guy was very rude when I asked how much a tat would cost. He quoted me $120 for a small palm tree tat, which I thought was ridiculous. Went over to Super Nova and was quoted $40! Please book with super nova. They aren't d***Heads! Dude just walked away from me without saying anything. Customer service doesn't exist here. No wonder why nobody was here on a Saturday. read more

Finding the right tattoo shop is like finding the right significant other. I can say that this new shop will not disappoint. Johnny Mudbug, the owner has just opened this shop on main street in Round Rock. The vibe is welcoming and Johnny is experienced and talented. Bryan, who is a part time artist is very experienced here in Austin and did my tattoo. I moved here a year and a half ago and have struggled to find a shop that could compete with the shop my wife, daughter and Our close friends got over 20 tattoos in 5 years at. Stop by and chat with Johnny or Bryan. read more

Terrible customer service.. went in to get a tattoo with my brother for his wife that passed away two days ago. After showing him a reference picture he said "this is what you want?!" I'm an extremely rude and condescending tone with an ugly look on his face. I'm sorry but I don't think an artist should decipher what is meaningful to someone or judge them based on what is to them. Went to super nova instead and had a much better experience. read more

I walked in one evening with my husband and walked out with a tattoo! (I walked out with my husband, too haha) I had been thinking about getting another tattoo for YEARS and finally did it. This place is awesome. All of the guys here are super nice, and very talented. I am over 50, and I feel very comfortable in here. Everyone here is very professional and they all make you feel very welcome. When my oldest son wanted to get his first tattoo, I brought him here. Good Times Tattoo Studio - Bryan did this one for me last May. I love my TCB tattoo! #Elvis - Tattoo Near Me - Round Rock, Texas

If I could give them a zero I would. 1/3 of my body is covered in ink, so I'm not new to tattoos. I walked in here just because I was wanting something small and simple, something that was very sentimental to me. Something close to my heart, from my time in the military. The moment I said white ink, this ***hole said no. Wouldn't even let me go any further. I get that the white ink won't show up very well, and that's kind of the point I was wanting. For it to be something that I knew was there and helped me when I needed it. I was pretty much going to pay them for barely any work, almost free money. You get a tattoo because it means something to you. Good job telling a veteran that the one they want isn't worth your time, real classy. I'll let all my fellow vets know if they want a good tattoo, Good Times is not the place to go. read more

Very unprofessional experience I stopped there with three or four options for a small tattoo, so I just wanted to ask about pricing like they suggest on their page. But one of the small, tattooed, full-beard artist just looked at me like I am stupid to even ask about it, he did not even explain why he won't make the tattoo smaller, he just laughted everytime I asked or showed him the picture, so he barely answered to me, he has not even suggested a better option, has not explained anything, just laughted and kept saying "no" with every picture I showed him. (maybe he just does not know how to do his job properly? Even in Europe they know how to make a smaller tattoo and all without acting like I am a little sh** asking for pricing;-). I left that place with one thought - never coming back thanks to this guy. We have wanted to get some tattoo in there, but after his unprofessional acting we will rather find a better place where we spent our money. read more

Johnny was very curt and not very artistic. I do like my tattoo but it is not what I had wanted, and I am stuck with it. Will be doing my second and future tattoos elsewhere. The customer service sucked. (Got my tattoo 10/2018) read more

Zero customer service here and borderline rude. We took our business elsewhere today and will not be back.

Loved getting my tattoo here! I walked in without an appointment and was able to get fit in. I told Johnny what I wanted and that it was a tribute to Tom Petty...my favorite singer/songwriter. He immediately started designing something for me...AND put Tom Petty on in the studio! The whole time I was there I was listening to Tom! Johnny is an amazing artist and it was easy to sit there. I Love my tattoo...I'm very proud of it! Thank you Johnny! read more

Let me start by saying, you will not be disappointed by this shop. I went in with a drawing (and honestly my artist laughed at it... I am happy he was open, honest and steered me in a much better direction) and made an appointment to come back and get the thing applied. My words of advice-know what you want before you go, it will help them out. Let them lead you with your idea, they do this every day and can give some great advice. They are super friendly, they care about their work and most importantly they are passionate about their job and their work. I would venture to guess that each and every employee there LOVES their job. They are not just a studio, they are a family. They genuinely care for one another, they are not scared to ask an opinion of one another and they are open, honest, courteous and careful about what they do. Their job is to create a lasting image on your personal space and to do it as efficiently and effectively as possible. They do exactly that. EXACTLY. They are artists and friends. I would recommend any artist there to any of my friends. They will be up front about what they can and cannot put on your body. read more

I went to Good Times this week for my first tattoo and it was a great experience. My tattoo artist was Johnny and he did an outstanding job. I had a design I wanted to use but it needed a few tweaks to look exactly like what I wanted. Johnny made those changes and it came out perfect. He even introduced me to some new music. The place is nice and clean and very welcoming. I would highly suggest checking it out, whether it's your first or twenty first tattoo. You won't be disappointed. read more

I've gotten two tattoos from Aaron Dixon and plan to get a lot more! He is helpful, friendly, and has been tattooing for over 20 years. This place is really amazing, all the artists are very nice and professional. Steve did an amazing piece on me and very fair price.

I originally found Steve Goodspeed when I randomly walked into a shop while visiting San Diego. His work was so good and precise that I got compliments on it everywhere I went. Interestingly, it was especially other folks with tattoos who knew their stuff that were super impressed. So when I went back, I wanted him to do another but they'd told me he left. I was bummed but managed to find him online at this shop and was psyched cause I knew I'd be in Austin a couple weeks later. Sure enough, my newest tattoo from Steve is everything I had in my mind but he put into art. And I get just as many compliments on it. Steve was amazing and honestly, Johnny was awesome too with cracking jokes and making the whole place super comfortable and welcoming (which we all know, not every shop is). I'd recommend the shop, and specifically Steve's work, any day! read more

I can't say enough great things about this studio. Very professional, clean, and friendly! Johnny and his crew are extremely friendly, patient, talented and creative! Between my husband and I, we have 4 tattoos done at Good Times Tattoo. We love coming to Good Times and hanging with those guys, they're really great people!! They are very willing to work with you to get you what you want. After a very unpleasant interaction at another tattoo shop in RR, we decided to drop in & check this place out. Authentic tattoo shop vibe from the get-go. A look through the albums told us these guys were super talented, true artists. Talking to them was easy & comfortable, like talking to long-time friends. They were able to accommodate us that day & went above & beyond to knock it out of the park. We have officially found our new tattoo "home." Dylan may be young, but talented beyond his years. If you are looking for a black & grey masterpiece, he is your guy. You can tell the owner, Johnny, has put his heart & soul into this place. It has a unique old-school vibe with glimpses of new-school fun and just the right music playing. He also has the talent & experience to do just about anything you want done, with style. Just go & check it out. They won't disappoint. BONUS: Tons of stuff to do & see & EAT nearby. With a coffee/tea shop, candy store, restaurants and more within feet of the store, how could you NOT? We literally can't wait to go back for more ink. P.S. They may not advertise "most affordable tattoo"... but their prices are SUPER affordable considering the major talent they offer. read more
