I originally needed a contractor to fix a poor renovation done on my kitchen. Danny called me promptly the next day to schedule an appointment so he can take a look at my kitchen. He is very accommodating with regards to schedule, and does his very best to make it work with your schedule. He agreed that my kitchen needed some work, but discovered that it was my bathroom, specifically the shower, that needed immediate attention. My shower was done very poorly such that there was moisture detected on the walls, and water damage was imminent and bound to happen very soon. He expressed honest concern and explained to me the consequences if the problem was not addressed ASAP. I recognized the poor work and agreed with him that my shower was rushed and not built properly. Danny came prepared and presented all his documentation as a licensed contractor, complete with insurance bonds, standardized CSLB forms, and notices. He gave me a clear and reasonable estimate, and explained that he will only collect payment after completion of each stage of the project: Demolition, Preparation, Plumbing, Tile, and Completion. This really shows professionalism and gave me confidence that I am not hiring a shady contractor. Demolition was scheduled shortly thereafter I signed the contract. He secures the permits necessary, if applicable. They cover and protect the surrounding area nicely to avoid damage to the property (see pictures). My favorite aspect of this experience is that something is getting accomplished everyday. I am not left waiting in the wings for days and days without anything getting done. Danny helped me pick out the tiles that will work with my bathroom. His design ideas are wonderful, like placing the stones in the shampoo niches and along the shower-head wall, like a waterfall. I am also provided with regular updates on the project. I don't even have to call him because he calls or texts me first. Danny always seems to be reachable anytime, which is good if you're the type of person who wants immediate response. I am confident that my new shower will turn out to be beautiful, look professionally-built, and up to code. I will update this review with the finished project. In the mean time, see before and after pics. I highly recommend Need for Build, Inc. if you want a reputable and trustworthy contractor that actually delivers excellent service at a reasonable price. Finally after 5 years, we decided to go for it and design our backyard. We knew it wouldn't be cheap but we wanted something we could enjoy for a long time. We had 5 people come out and give us quotes (for our pergolas, concrete pads, and two tiers of turf) and they were all fairly similar (minus the low ball offer people which we didn't trust). What sold us on Need for Build was the promise Andrew made that the price he was quoting us was the TRUE price and that we would not be facing change orders throughout the project. If you have ever dealt with a construction process you KNOW how frustrating change orders and the ever changing price was. The company stuck to this promise and the only time the cost went up is when WE ask for something to be added. Andrew communicated with us through the whole process and when something wasn't done to our expectation of quality (and it did happen), he was very responsive and had it fixed at no cost to us immediately. The project was done quickly and efficiently and at the exact cost we were quoted at the beginning of the project. We have other house projects we will be doing in the future, and I know I will be reaching out to Need for Build for estimates. Another huge PLUS all of their work is warrantied, and I know that this company will still be around if I need to reach out for something to be fixed under warranty (something you can't expect from all of the other companies that promise you extended warranties). Highly recommend getting a quote from Avi at Need for Build for landscaping projects. Good quality and once the project is started, it is completed quickly. Front yard: synthetic turf and a low stone wall. Side yard: cast-in-place concrete pavers and rock, new vinyl gate and fencing. Backyard: synthetic putting green. They have a separate crew that only installs artificial turf. They made sure that the surface was prepared properly to get smooth roll and used concrete around the holes to be sure the ball didn't do anything funny right at the cup. The construction started on Jan 2 and was completed Jan 9. They had as many as 9 workers on site. Avi dropped by everyday to make sure questions or issues were dealt with quickly. Recently had an issue with some wrinkles in the turf that was fixed promptly. read more

In 2019 Nadir and his Team completely remodeled the bottom floor of our home, and did a beautiful job. (Reference my review from a year ago). They installed amazing flooring that over time developed a problem in one of the planks that was due to the configuration and heavy use of our kitchen table. Today, Nadir sent his flooring expert out to fix this plank that had cracked. He not only put in a new plank, but he reconfigured the planks slightly so that we will never have this problem again. Our family was looking to update an original bathroom from built in 1948. It was SUPER outdated and need a whole new look from top to bottom. It was a big commitment to take our primary bathroom out of commission but it is so worth it! And we are so happy to be going through this journey with Tommy of Need for Build. Over the years, we had spoken to many people about redoing the bathroom, but we never found the right person for the job. It had to be a business that had a healthy balance of accountability, quality, service and cost. Right away, we found that connection with Tommy and had no hesitation to move forward with the project. Even through Covid-19, he was the right fit. Tommy walked us through the process of finding what we wanted and what the upcoming remodeling steps were going to look like. He explained that we would be to get the best prices on our design choices through established connections and he was going to be there every step of the way to make sure that this would be a good experience (contrary to most remodeling jobs). Soon after we signed on, we moved quickly into the groundbreaking phase and the project was underway. Tommy was there from the beginning and has consistently continued his communication on a regular basis. The project is ALMOST done and despite a few snags on products and timelines, the bathroom is coming out as I was hoping for - I will post pictures very soon upon completion. I also need to highlight Foreman Jerry and his staff because they have all been of unbelievable caliber, both mindful and thorough. The team has all been really professional, accommodating with the noise (to me working at home), and thoughtful. They are really attentive to the details (my drywall is AWESOME!), super clean in the workspace, and very knowledgeable about their specialties. They have been very respectful about the TLC needed for our "vintage" home and have still managed to successfully bring in some of the modern-day conveniences of new construction into the old school charm of the property. I also felt really good (and safe) about who was coming into my house (with masks nonetheless) and very much appreciated the positive attitudes they showed up with each day.
