One of our newfound favorites!! My husband especially loves their fresh-squeezed orange juice and their Benedicts. Their hash browns are always pleasantly crispy, and their eggs have always been perfectly cooked. I particularly love their veggie burrito with homemade house hot sauce. It's top 2 in the region for me. Their turkey club is also fantastic. Their portions are huge for the price and I always leave with a leftover container. All that coupled with quick service and friendly wait staff, it's hard to beat. They're located off of State street right next to one of my favorite BBQ spots so they're rather easy to get to from most places! If you already know about Ned's, you know how great it is. I don't often give five stars, but I will with regard to this establishment. We visit Ned's three or four mornings a year when we are in the neighborhood for a dog show. This is our go to breakfast spot and should not be missed if you were in the neighborhood. The food is amazing, the servings large, and the staff are wonderful people. Stopped by here for brunch with my friend before running some errands & everything we had was great! From the service, the atmosphere, the portions & even the price. I forgot what it was called, but my friend & I got the same thing, but I got 2 sausage patties & she got 2 pieces of bacons (which we ended up swapping out, so we had 1 of each). It also came with 1 egg, however you like, we also a swedish pancake, she got a side of hashbrowns & I got a side of corned beef hash. The corned beef hash was a bit on the salty side for my liking, so I just ate it with my friend's hashbrowns to lighten up the taste, which was perfect. I did not try, but they have a bar there, which I hear, has tasty bloody mary's & mimosas. They also have specials that sounded very tasty. I believe it was stuffed pumpkin French toast, or pancakes. Back a second time and this time we really enjoyed ourselves. Stuck with the tried and true omelets despite many other tasty looking selections. Their omelets are the best in the area. The omelet is moist and they are packed with fillings. I had the Baconado omelet and my wife had the mushroom Swiss omelet. Both solid hits. I've driven past this dinner for almost 2 years and finally got to stop after a doctors appointment on my way to work. It was Monday around 9:30 am and I was greeted and seated immediately. Not very crowded, the waitress started me off with coffee and took my order. I decided on the biscuits and gravy. My breakfast was promptly delivered. Two biscuits and gravy filled the entire plate! I was so excited, I forgot to take a picture of it! It was good, the busboy kept trying to fill my coffee. Great service! When you pay, Need Mets you at the cash register and takes your money. I don't get to this area often, but when I do, I make it a point to stop in for a great breakfast. There is always a nice welcome at the door and the team is quick to get coffee and water going for starters. I've only ever gone with the Denver omelet, hashbrowns, and toast, and it doesn't disappoint. The omelets are large and fluffy, hasbrowns with an appropriate level of crisp, and four pieces of toast. Multiple hot sauces to choose from. They keep the coffee and water flowing, and the prices are great. Friendly checkout process, as well. Always thanked for my business heading out the door. Tried Ned's out last Sunday for the first time. The service was very good especially the gentleman assigned to the beverage refills. He was refilling with the focus that you'd normally get a fancy steakhouse. I ordered the 2X2X2 that included stuffed french toast (would prob ask for the strawberry topping on the side next time since the syrup From it was heavy on the sugar), 2 eggs, and 2 sausage links. It was really good and the portion was on the bigger side. The restaurant manager did a good job of carrying a conversation with all the patrons that were coming and going. He also seemed genuinely appreciative toward his customers (this is becoming more & more rare in the service world). All in all - I will go back. read more

A friend of mine and I met at Ned's Diner. I just picked this restaurant because it sounded like down home type food and staff. As I pulled up to Ned's I was shocked by the size of the parking lot. I thought, ok this place has potential for a lot of guests! I went in and my friend was already seated looking at the menu. She said the menu offers so much, I don't know what to pick. A bus boy came by and asked what I want to drink and I said coffee which he got immediately. Next our server came to get our order, he was very helpful with our selections and very nice person in general. Our food was cooked to perfection, we both had omelets and hash browns and portions were great, not too little or too much. The restaurant was clean and orderly. There was a room off to the side for large groups. They had what looked like a full bar in the back and some of those one arm bandit machines. The women's bathroom was clean and modern. 2 stalls one being handicap able. 2 sinks. Garbage can by the door. I would suggest this restaurant for anyone looking for delicious food, not over priced and served by pleasant staff. From skillets to omelets, pancakes or waffles to country fried steak, it's all delicious. The coffee has always been on point. I use truvia, so I always carry's few packets with me. Like Ned's, most restaurants don't have that on the table. Oh my, don't leave out the pastries! Especially the eclairs are so amazing! Not too good of an experience. Ordered coffee and it had lipstick marks on the cup when brought out to me, and the coffee was definitely watered down as well. Food was decent but it did not feel super clean in the restaurant. Waitress was polite to everyone except for us and seemed rushed. The staff at Ned's is friendly and welcoming, but that is the only redeeming quality. My family went to Ned's for breakfast, this morning, and we are all sick to our stomach's, now. In general, the food was extremely bland. The bacon was not salty at all - how do you make bacon, not salty? My daughters french toast, and my husbands Swedish pancakes were flavorless - not even the slightest bit sweet. My sons waffle was okay. My Vegetable skillet was a greasy mess, and one of the eggs was raw. There was literally a big blob of raw egg white hanging off one of the eggs. Yuck. We will never eat at Ned's again. read more

Always crowded... but why? Early morning wake up to a cup of coffee that lightens with a half of creamer. Terrible stuff! How watered down or how many times is the coffee remade with the same grounds to be lighter than tea? The staff and owners are far too relaxed and do not even notice just how dirty the place has gotten.:( Sticky chairs, dirty dishes and cups put on tables, stains and bugs... look around and loose your appetite! As for the food, do they even season what they consider to be homefries? BLAH!!! Frozen tasteless garbage. Not real home fries at all. Oh. And Swiss cheese? Have passed this place several times on our way to Rockford. Finally, today went in for breakfast and it was great! We were seated immediately and even before I got my coat off there was coffee in my cup. Our waitress gave us plenty of time to look at the menu. After ordering it was within minutes and our meals were there right in front of us. I had a the gypsy skillet and my sister had good old bacon and eggs.
