Trust me! You have to come try this place. My family and I finally got up early enough that we can get over here and have breakfast. Driven by it a ton of times in the afternoon but they're only open till 11. We get there and it looks like it's filled with a bunch of locals who are obviously regulars, but we were quickly seated and greeted by the nicest woman. Food was all great but you have to try the cinnamon roll French toast. Trust me even if you don't like French toast you will like this. Also make sure you visit the bathroom "outhouse". Very good only issue took40 minutes for food. When I spoke up only because we had to be somewhere they did make it happen. Great people just make sure on Sundays you give yourself plenty of time !!! Definitely would go again !! Small town feel good food!!! read more

It's so homey, comforting, and delicious. The decor is so cute! The owners are wonderful people and put so much love into this place. You need to check it out! My dad got the cinnamon roll French toast but ate it too fast before I could get a picture. It is very busy on Sundays when we went and I'd assume most days, so we gave them a little patience and they were working as fast as they could. All of our meals came out hot, fresh and quickly. FARM TABLE CAFE GARDEN PRAIRIE First off, I absolutely hate that I have to actually give them a star, as they sure didn't deserve one. We arrived at 10:55. Our food wasn't served till 12:15. That's entirely not acceptable. Secondly, my husband ordered biscuits & gravy. The "biscuits" looked like hockey pucks. Did I mention that the bottoms were burnt? Not just well done, these jokers were WELL DONE! So the waitress comes over, we tell her that they're too burnt for consumption (you could taste the burnt)...she shruggs her shoulders and says "okay?...and??" We were like you need to fix this. She says, "well I guess he can make it over." With that, 10 minutes later, here comes the "bus girl" carrying a plate of biscuits, puts it on the table & starts to leave, "whoa, wait a minute... excuse me...he had gravy on his biscuits", to which this snotty little girl says "if I go back there & put gravy on those, I'm going to charge you for a whole new breakfast. We weren't willing to spend another 1.5 hours waiting for food. Needless to say, husband scraped COLD gravy off of burnt biscuits only to try & choke down these hockey puck monstrosities. I promptly told her we wouldn't be back & she was like "ok, that's. So...it looks like UNCLE JOHNS on Logan in Belvidere will be getting ALL our business. read more

Just a small town breakfast only place. I have driven past this place for the last 5yrs and said "one of these days". Well one of these days finally got here and I don't know what took me so long. We stopped in after coming home from a trip and wanted something to eat and had breakfast. I need to go back and try many more items on the menu. This is the best place to get breakfast! I don't care where you usually go! The food is always perfect! No matter what you get. When you try the bacon or the ham it will make you question if you can eat bacon or ham anywhere else but at farm table again because you know it's never as good as when you get it from farm table. This place is as small town America as it gets.  The Decore is that of an actual small town Resturant, not the fax stuff you find in the suburbs.  The way I discern is that there are things of varing age. While the Resturant was only here for 5 years in it current iteration the building is much older.  The Decore is very attractive. There is a classic counter for singles, 8 table tops and 8 booths.  This local place is family owned and it is clear it is a mother and daughters working.  There is the warmth of a family place where people are taking pride in what they are doing. The good:  The staff was very welcoming and engaging.  They brightly started small talk and were very prompt on coffee refills.  The coffee was good. Even though there were only two staff they were clearly working hard to take care of the breakfast rush. I ordered the country platter which was a fresh made biscuit hash browns 2 eggs and sausage smothered in really eggcellent gravy.  The eggs were light and fluffy.  The hash browns were shoe string and cooked well. Everything was made to order.  It took ten minutes or so to get out, but to me that is way better that prepped line food. The bad The bathrooms only heated by a baseboard heater so a little chilly. Friendly people, but I'm absolutely positive I've never waited so long for an average breakfast. About an hour for eggs and bacon.

No joke, this is the best place for breakfast in the area. I have gone here 5 times, tried 5 different things and all the dishes were great. Easy on the pocket and plenty of food. Bring your wallet with cash in it, because the do not accept CC. We left before we tried this place because of this, but it is worth running to the ATM. read more
