I paid Ned's to wash the siding on my house, a service they provide. While the customer service people are excellent,and the cleaning team that arrived to do the work was indeed efficient and effective - for the most part, the job was not completed, and follow up was disappointing. A large streak of unwashed siding was obvious at the back of the house, in a visible location over the back door. I called them to come back and clean this area. They had already charged me for the full job at that point. But they did not come back to clean the area of siding that they'd skipped. The timeline of their inaction is relevant I think, I contracted them over two months ago. They did the cleaning soon after, Most noticeably, areas of the siding had not been cleaned over the back door and window, a very visible spot. I called them to come back and do that portion of the work again to finish the job properly. I had to call a second time. Then last week I got a notice that the crew was on their way. They did not arrive. The job still remains unfinished. I'm disappointed and caution against using this company. read more

I suspect this company installed gutters with narrower drain holes than what they replaced. Since the Neds install, my gutters have been clogging more often than my previous gutters did and I live in an area where there insn't any debris or trees around to clog them and my old gutters functioned better than the new ones. Also I do not like way they do business, they are pushy with services and have high pricing compared to competitors. Since booking with Neds they call me relentlessly about booking more service with them after my gutters install. I would recommend getting a second quote and not doing business with Neds without shopping around. read more

Don't use this company! I hired them to put a gutter and downspout. Lead time was 7 days. The technicians show up on day 7, do nothing and leave the door tag indicating the work was completed. I called and was told I had to wait another 4 days for someone to come out. Well they showed up today and went to look at the missing gutter, got in their truck and left. I called again to see why they left. I was told they didn't have enough material and would need to reschedule for Monday. Today is Friday. I asked to speak with a supervisor named Jason. He was going to try and reroute a team for today but was unsuccessful. I just canceled. I've been waiting too long and the lack of communication is terrible. I'm going to now hire some one else. Dear Neds, We have tried over and over again to have you STOP sending us your advertisements! We have called, we have emailed, what does it take to get you to listen to us??? Your gutter service is terrible. The people you send can't speak English and I don't speak Spanish so they don't understand or just ignore my instructions. I tell them Not to flush the leaf litter down the gutters into the down spouts and down into our rain barrels, they nod and smile and do it anyway!!!! They have now ruined our downspouts. They are so clogged they don't work!!! Our other down spouts feed into underground drainage and now needs to be dug up!!! Will you pay for that??  I don't think so because you don't give a ... about our home or concerns!!!  One of our phone complaints we explained that the workers were taking the hose up on the roof and then walking along the edge hosing everything into the gutters to the downspout and attempting to flush it down.  The person we spoke to said that that is not the way it's supposed to be done.  That they are suppose to remove all debris in the gutter by hand.  That has  never been down. We will be submitting a complaint against you with the BBB as well as any other social media platforms you are on. read more

Avoid this company at all costs. I started the process 11 weeks ago in April to get gutters cleaned and windows washed. I had to call them 6 times to see why they hadn't come out. Every week it was weather, we are busy etc etc. for 3 months. The crew finally arrived on July 3 and then they disappeared after 15 mins. No explanation. There has to be another company that can do better than these guys. Even if you are thinking we maybe that guy just had really high standards. I don't. Just needed the job done. read more

I agree with the other post. Clueless. I used them last year and they came and were gone in 15 minutes we tried them again this year and not much better. They came and only did part of the work. Clearly they didn't do the back of the house. Also the crew they sent couldn't communicate with us. They didn't have anyone that spoke English. They came back another day and I'm still not sure they did the top of the front of the house or flushed the rear gutters. Low cost is definitely not the way to get a quality experience. Apparently high volume companies care little about their customers or repeat business. read more

We have asked them again and again to tell in advance of when they are coming. It took numerous complaints to get my number added to their system so I would get a text - and that usually arrived like 20 minutes before they did. This isn't acceptable. So often they come, I don't know how to turn on the water for the hose, so they do a subpar job cleaning most likely since they don't have water. And they somehow always find a problem that would require more money to fix. My spouse called them to cancel because we found a more credible company - on the phone their customer service person tried three times to stop him from cancelling despite his firm insistence. I half expect them to still show up for a cleaning. I do not want a company that cannot respond to numerous requests for more communication about when they are coming, to be working in my property or engaging with me or my family in any type of commercial relationship. If they can't bother to say when they are coming, what can they be trusted to do properly? read more

They were on the roof for about 10 minutes and did nothing to identidy or address the fact that the downspouts were clogged. Once they have your phone number you will get cold called every 2 weeks. Avoid this company at all costs. read more

They do not know what they are doing. Services have been completely unprofessional, disorganized, and wasted my time. They continue to send inexperienced crews out and even the manager can't understand how roof access works, which is concerning. read more

We had used Winston's to clean our gutters for years. In the last year Ned Stevens bought Winston's and took over from them. They charged a lot more than Winston's and the service didn't compare. They were inflexible in scheduling, they repeatedly put leaves in bags that the county would not pick up despite their promises to correct this. We cancelled our services last December and hired someone else. Out of the blue (when we were out of town) they arrived in June and did our gutters. They charged our credit card for this without our consent as well. When we called to complain we were told they had to investigate by listening to the tapes of all phone calls we made to them to verify we had cancelled our service. (Oh yes they tape all calls without your consent.) Having not done anything for 6 months they claimed we never cancelled our service. It took three phone calls before they agreed to credit our account. There are many local businesses who will do this work and are professional and courteous. Try them instead. read more

Ned Stevens, now Ned Home, purchaser of a bunch of small businesses, are dishonest. Do not fall for their sales pitches. We used them once and I never renewed the service or requested gutter cleanings again. They showed up at our house when we were out of town, supposedly cleaned the gutters, and are charging 5x the price of our original gutter cleaning company. They will not stop calling and saying we've ordered additional services. read more

I highly recommend Ned Stevens for your gutter needs. They fully replaced my gutters in under 2 hours. I never felt pressured to make decisions, and I value their input and advice as they understand how important gutters are to homes closer to the water in Baltimore. Your gutters are important no matter where you live anyways. I always received a text when they were on their way, they cleaned up as much as possible after work, and they answered my questions with open ears. I've already gotten compliments about my new gutters. Now I can walk into my front door without a waterfall bucketing down onto me. And water will not be dripping and making annoying sounds all day. I wouldn't call them again. They spent most of the initial call upselling services, and followed by incessant emails and mailings.

Please avoid this business. We had a truly terrible experience with this company. We called to set up an appointment to check our gutter. We explained that the gutter goes into the ground in the back of our home and that is where we think our issue is located. They said the an inspection would be done on the gutter and where it enters the ground. We also explained that we needed to be home to give them access to our backyard. They could not give us a date or time that the service would take place. (Side note: I have no idea how they run a business where you cannot tell a client a particular day that you will come render service) Then, out of the blue, a tech calls and leaves a message saying they are on their way. Problem, we are out of town. I called customer service and requested that they reschedule the appointment. He agrees to do so. A few days later, we return home to find a door tag stating that they rendered service and our credit card was charged. My husband and I knew full well that they did not check the part of the gutter going into the ground because they did not have access to our backyard. Additionally, we have cameras back there and none of them picked up activity in our backyard. A few weeks later, we we have a heavy rainfall and water comes gushing into our house from the part of the gutter that runs through an interior bulkhead--the only section they could have inspected during this service. This is a new issue, post a Ned Stevens service call. We called them to see if they can come to recheck the gutter. Since it was over 30 days, they offer to do so for the price we already paid for the incomplete job they performed. The woman who answered the phone was rude and condescending and said she would take our concern to a manager and get back to us. She never did. We called again and asked for the report from the last visit. They claimed there was no report because they did not find any issue, but there were pictures taken of the work. We ask for them, he never sent them. We called again, this representative seemed confused about any report or photographs. He finally pulled up the photographs and I stayed on the phone until I received them via email. Just as we thought, just an imagine of them on our roof. Again, they would have to go up an additional level and go down three levels to get to our fenced in yard that has a garage style roll door. They had no images of the gutter from the back of the house. The moral of the story, whatever they did to our gutters led to several $100s of dollars to bring other specialists to our home and over $5000 worth of interior work on our house. I would NEVER use this company again. They engaged in some really dishonest practices from start to finish. read more

We live in a 1840 Victorian farmhouse with a gabled metal roof. The men who came out accessed the roof with ladders and cleaned the gutters. They did an amazing job and cleaned up afterwards. We've had a lot of bad experiences with other gutter cleaning companies using power washers that damaged the paint and wood work. We will definitely use this company again. read more
