I found Dr. Chen during one of the most difficult times of my life…read more After a medical diagnosis, my nervous system seemed to go haywire, and I developed severe insomnia. At one point, I was unable to sleep at all. I was extremely averse to medication and initially refused any treatment. I found Dr. Chen and began acupuncture. I still wasn't sleeping, but after a few sessions, Dr. Chen gently advised me that I should consider taking medication. Because I trusted him, I listened. I took a short course of medication, and eventually I went back to sleeping like a baby. Dr. Chen was there throughout my entire period of suffering and healing, and I credit his expertise in acupuncture as an important part of my recovery. Before finding Dr. Chen, I had seen another acupuncturist who did absolutely nothing for me. The office was the definition of "Zen"--water sounds, beautiful scents, peaceful surroundings--and it cost a whole lot of money. And yet I was awake the entire time. Dr. Chen's office is the complete opposite. It is very no-frills, with bright lights and phones ringing. And somehow, every single time the needles are in, my body lets go. I enter what feels like a deep parasympathetic state and actually fall asleep or nap. Every. Single. Time. That, to me, says everything. You don't need a perfectly designed environment to relax when you are in the hands of someone whose expertise allows your body to feel safe. Dr. Chen was not only my acupuncturist during an incredibly difficult chapter; he was someone I trusted when I was scared and didn't know what to do. I am deeply grateful that I found him. I love him and his wife Jenny and refer everyone to them!

First Time and Great Results!…read more Hurt and shifted a disc in my lower spine. I was referred by a friend to CYY for a first time experience for Acupuncture. I tired compression braces, aleve, Icy hots, Solonpas patch's, yoga rollers, exercises and I kept re-injuring my lower back (3rd time). When I made my first visit I was on my 7th day of recovery and was not able to stand straight without a compression brace. Lower back was completely loosened after visit. 2nd visit I was able to move with full motion, no back brace. I stand all day and do mfg work so I highly recommend this place if you need to recover fast. Price was very affordable, since I spent about $125 at target for all the braces and medication. My lower back loosened up in one visit and I had a second to fully be able to twist. I feel I had a lot of pressure release with the acupuncture and cupping. You can feel the relief if you are hurting really bad. Highly recommended thank you CYY!

Needles are scary. Dr. Fong is not!…read more I've seen Dr. Fong on two separate occasions--once for sciatica pain and another time for an aching Achilles tendon caused by tight calves and hamstrings from running. Both times, he was caring, gentle, and took the time to explain what he was doing and why. He treated the problem areas and also recommended some helpful stretches to loosen up my muscles and address the underlying stiffness. I especially appreciated that he didn't just treat the discomfort and send me on my way. He took the time to educate me on what might be contributing to it and what I could do at home to help. Dr. Fong has a calm, thoughtful approach that makes the whole experience surprisingly relaxing. If the thought of acupuncture has you imagining a human pincushion, don't worry--you're in good hands here. Five stars for great care, a gentle touch, and some very happy calves and hamstrings!

Honestly, these gals are, quite frankly, the best of the best aestheticians who's ever "worked" on my face. Their demeanors are both so calm, cool and collected, as I always try to de-stress and remain "zen" during my sessions. Being quiet and reflective while getting a facial is challenging for me since I'm normally chatty; however, the facials are definitely more "therapeutic" when you can zone out. I highly recommend Kang Eastern Medicine Spa as it's a calming place to get a facial, massage, and acupuncture. . . take my word for it. You'll leave here feeling relaxed and refreshed. long overdue review! pregnancy brain has me under a bad case of procrastination :)…read more dr. xie & dr. benjamin are a father son duo who specialize in treating you with acupuncture & chinese herbs. in 2023, i went through several rounds of mini ivf but heartbreakingly all embryos failed pgt-a testing. after taking a year off to give myself a mental and physical break, i decided to look towards chinese medicine to help my chances before starting up the ivf process again. because all my tests and numbers came back fine, cycles were regular, i felt like i wasn't getting any answers from western medicine. dr xie monitors your condition and adjusts the chinese medicine he prescribes weekly, ensuring that your plan is tailored to your specific situation at any given time. dr benjamin has great bedside manner and always makes you feel comfortable during your visits. i knew going in, this would be a long term commitment and results would take time. they saw me through another year of ivf as i banked embryos and ultimately, we had a successful transfer on the first try. i continued my visits through the first trimester and was happily sent on my way after! i don't know if it has anything to do with it but, generally had a very easy pregnancy to date. so thankful for this team!

Over the course of just the initial couple months, my mood, skin, and overall health improved. My western doctors had never been able to find anything in blood tests, and my case fell under "unexplained". Dr Xie listened to my symptoms, provided weekly herbs, and tweaked them as my health improved. Within just 1-2 months, my acne cleared and my general anxiety noticeably got better. It was like magic! Even some symptoms I wasn't there to treat, like digestion and stuffy nose, got cleared up too. At that point I was already thrilled and the fertility almost became a secondary goal. Dr Xie said it would take 3-6 months to work, and it took exactly 6 months for me. I can't recommend Del Mar Health enough. I've never really believed in Chinese medicine but now I tell everyone to try Dr Xie for any ailment

I just want to say that I would have no idea where I would be right now or what I would have done…read moreif I did not find this place going through TSW/ severe eczema. I always had eczema growing up but very small patches that would come and go. But not until I got sick I went to Kaiser and they gave me some antibiotics and I was taking them almost every month for 3 months and then I started to get eczema all over my upper body. So I went to countless of dermatologist at Kaiser and 2 holistic doctors but of course Kaiser kept prescribing the same thing. Which was steroids whether it was pills or creams. I even took two to three shots of a biologic called adbry. I had it all over my chest to my arms and even my ears and scalp it was painful and oozing all the time I didn't know what to do to stop the oozing. I also had it on my face. I would not be able to shower every day and if I did it had to be quick and I needed help washing my hair. They took care of me a lot here I vouched 100% for the herbal medicine and their care. I took maybe about 4 to five boxes of it and almost after two months I was feeling sooo much better. Of course everyone's body is different, I learned so much about my body and what to do when it came to my diet and they answered all of my questions that I was curious about. I'm still not 100% healed but there is no more red inflamed skin covered on my arms and no more oozing! And now I'm able to slowly reintroduce the food I wasn't able to eat during treatment. I definitely recommend coming to ty wellness center for anyone dealing with tsw or eczema. And my prayers go out there to anyone going through this tough journey and hope it gets better because it will! I know at first you don't see results right away but they start coming a little day by day.The herbal medicine is what helped me the most! Even though it was kinda pricey I thought it was worth my health. I only got up to 3 sessions of acupuncture which was pretty relaxing too.

She didn't question my use of Rx drugs or diagnoses, instead she listened attentively and asked me about recent bloodwork. This was a relief because there are natural medicine practitioners who will tell you to stop taking medicines prescribed to you. After one session I felt a great relief of stress and tension. After a week of taking herbs my symptom severity was cut in half. Now that I've finished two weeks of herbs and a few weeks of acupuncture, my symptoms have almost gone. I have been able to stop taking my antacid medications because I simply don't need them. I would highly recommend Dr. Koo's services to anyone. A note on the location: CHA Acupuncture has just recently moved and it can be a bit hard to see from the street. There is a green building with a small opening to a parking lot in the back next to it. It's right next to Brio Apartments. I'm including a pic to help out.

The doctor helped me so much with the pain in my neck and back and I am so incredibly grateful! I will note though, if you are fat and living in a larger body this may not be the best place for you. This is my body and I am fully aware of the changes it went through while dealing with stress. the dr's notes on the size of my body were always pretty neutral. Until my last appt. I had mentioned that since releasing my back and hips had been really bothering me. In response she told me that my hips hurt because of the extra weight on my body, I replied quickly and told her that was not the case and continued with my treatment but already knew I would not be coming back. A practitioner denying the pain due to fatness is so disappointing! I have not lost any significant amount of weight since that visit but have thankfully dealt this the hip pain through another practitioner and it has made it so much easier for me to comfortable workout again! I am lifting weights and doing yoga again since that pain has become less and less and my body feels better and more ready for movement. I type this review only to share with other fat women my experience, especially because I was able to relieve the pain without losing weight and am now able to move my body better than even I was at my tiniest! I'm incredibly grateful for the work the doctor did for me and I owe much of my healing to her work, but the blaming of pain on fatness was a step too far for me to return.
