Our experience with Kevin has been fantastic! We first hired him to do a lighting project in our garage, and when I first called him, he was booking out about 3 months. I thought it could his way of telling me he didn't want to do the project but I insisted on getting on the schedule because of the referral I had received. Without fail, he contacted me the month he said he would and asked if we still needed help. He was out here the next day and did a fantastic job. I appreciate his bar for quality and perfection. I had purchased the lights on Amazon which he had no problem with, but it bugged him that you could see the wiring in the cover- that's how meticulous he is! :-) He ensured all of the conduit pipe was straight since it was exposed, and completely cleaned up before leaving. He also had a young apprentice with him teaching him the ropes. Our second experience was more of an emergency and when I called him, he was on his drive home from a week long vacation, and came that same day! Very happy with Neault Electric and would highly recommend them to anyone who needs an electrician. I needed same day service because the main power breaker failed. All of the big companies were booked out and one company quoted us a ridiculous amount to change out one breaker. Kevin stepped away from a larger project to come over and had the breaker installed and working in less that 30 min. Kevin also went above and beyond and helped give me advice on a small electrical project I was tackling on my own. He shared some helpful techniques and was very informative. Most other companies won't take the extra couple minutes to explain the process or tell you what's going on, Kevin was very patient with me and was very nice about explaining the process. Kevin Neault of Neault Electric is the best!!! I had an electrician start a job and realize that he severely under bid the job. My first electrician walked away after wiring about 90% of the house. I found out that electricians do not want to take over a job that they didn't do 100% of the work. I got a ridiculously high bid from a general contractor before Kevin came out. He bid the job as an hourly rate. He estimated what it would cost to inspect the wiring that was left unfinished, to make any corrections as needed, to complete the whole house rewire and to add a 220 panel to a house that had run on 110 and two fuses for 50 years. His estimate was 1/3 of the cost compared to my other bid. He actually came in lower than he estimated by $2k. He could have gouged me which I believe the bid before him was doing but he didn't!! He has a strong work ethic and he is super fast! You may have to wait 6-8 weeks to get on his calendar, but once you do your job is his only focus! Great electrician; great guy!!! read more

I had a problem with a circuit breaker continuing to trip and called 4 different electricians. I know business is good, but I cannot believe that companies don't return a potential customer's phone call. Kevin was the only person that called me back. In fact, he called me on his way home that evening from a job and troubleshooted over the phone. He gave me all kinds of suggestions to fix the problem on my own and told me to call him back if it didn't help. Well, I couldn't get it done, called him the next morning and he said he would come by that afternoon after his job that day. He lived up to his commitment, came by that afternoon. Identified the issue, talked me through everything he was doing and replaced the broken breaker. Most guys didn't want a job this small, but Kevin understood he just made a customer for life. Electricians are like mechanics, its hard to find a good one so when you do you hang on to them. Kevin knows what he is doing, is respectful of you and your home and lives up to his commitments. This review is long overdue. We hired Keven Neault with Neault Electric to address some electrical issues that came up when we purchased a home last fall. One moderate sized issue and a bunch of little things. (ungrounded outlets, switch and receptacle changes, replacing old light fixtures, etc). Kevin was awesome to work with. He was knowledgeable, his work was solid, and he was honest. The honest part became obvious when he noticed a solution to my ungrounded outlets that all the others Electricians I met with missed entirely. We lucked out because there was a hidden ground wire he could use to fix the ungrounded outlets without running a new line from the panel. This basically saved me a TON of money and Kevin was just as happy as I was that he found a less expensive solution. To top it all off Kevin's rates are really reasonable. He charges labor (by the hour) and materials for most things. I was a little hesitant about paying by the hour at first since I have heard horror stories about contractors dragging things out but Keven was upfront about how long the entire job would take and he finished on time. To put things into perspective, other Electricians wanted to charge me $30-50 for every outlet they touched even if it was a simple switch out. The day of the job I watched Kevin and his helper switch out 30 old outlets with tamper resistant ones in a couple hours. I did the math and again Kevin saved me money! You really can't go wrong with Neault Electric and I completely agree with another reviewer about how good Electricians are like good Mechanics and worth keeping around. I am very happy with everything he's done for us, so much so that I had him back a month after the first job in order to do all the electrical upgrades for two bathrooms we decided to remodel plus add recessed lighting to a couple rooms. After seeing the overwhelmingly positive reviews, all called Kevin to install several overhead lights (fans and recessed) in my home. He showed up on time for my appointment and gave a very reasonable quote for the work, although I thought it was a bit odd that, at the end of the visit, he told me that he charges 10% on top of everything that he had just quoted. A bit "salesy"- why not just tell me the total price in the first place? Anyway... We scheduled my project for two weeks from that visit. Much to my delight, Kevin called a few days later to let me know that he was able to get me in sooner than originally anticipated, and he came by for a quick walk through, reminding me to move all of my furniture out of the way for the next morning's work. (I haven't had any other electrician remind me to move my furniture ten times, either. The guys from the other company I ended up using- B&R Electric- moved my sofa, no problem and no complaints.) The next day, I received a call from Kevin at 9:05am (he'd originally said he'd be there around 8:30-9am): His worker was a no-show, and he was driving to his house to find him. He'd call me back. He didn't call, and an hour later I called him. He informed me that he never found the worker, and that he was unable to complete any of the work on his own. This was frustrating, as other electricians certainly work alone on small house projects. We rescheduled for our original date. The day before the work was to be done, I left Kevin a message to confirm our appointment. He showed up at my home a few hours later to let me know that he had hurt his arm a few days earlier and wasn't going to be able to come. No notice, and I only found out because I bothered to call him. Obviously, my $1600+ project was not interesting enough for him. BIG disappointment! And by the way, one of the projects he told me was not possible to do... was! B&R did it easily and well, and now I have a light just where I want it! read more

I decided a few months ago that I wanted to install a few flood lights and security cameras around my home. When I started calling around to find an electrician, I was surprised how unresponsive some electricians were. I got some to come out and give me a quote but then never heard back. One electrician from Danville even told me that he purposely quotes super high prices hoping people will take it. Although Kevin was out of town when I first called him, he responded with a text message within a few hours letting me know he could do the work. Within a few minutes after that, he called and spent 10 minutes talking to me about my project. Kevin came out 2 days later, around 8:30pm in order to give me a quote. I mention that because Kevin was SUPER accommodating to my schedule. There were so many electricians that told me they only work certain times and while it's good for them, that doesn't work for me given my work schedule. A month later, work is done. While the work took two days, it wasn't Kevin's fault because really it was the fault of the crappy cameras I bought. Don't buy Swann by the way. Kevin was professional, worked quickly and knew what he was doing. Kevin knows his stuff and took the time to explain things when I had questions. Kevin's prices were fair and the quality of his work was great. I've now worked with 3 electricians in my home and Kevin was the only one of the group I would recommend. Kevin is responsive and cares about his work. My biggest pet peeve is bad service and unresponsive companies. Kevin was able to satisfy my demanding needs. If you don't care about the quality of work and you don't care about people who call you back, then there is plenty of electricians out there. Being an avid Yelp!er, this is my go-to site whenever I need to find a new person/place for services and such. This is how we found Kevin. After calling and leaving him a message, I received a call from him within 24 hours. The moment I began to explain the scope of work we were looking for (bathroom remodel), I could tell he knew his s***. Basics and above. We figured slap in a few new lights and a switch - Nope. Kevin came in and within 2 days he had completely set our bathroom up for the work. It's a total construction zone (all demo'd... and then we stopped) and he came in and helped us by installing all new power - up to code! Can lights over the stand up shower that operate on a dim switch, new power lines to our fuse box (to code - our house is really old) and all the fittings in between. He was such a go-getter and VERY knowledgeable. Kevin is a master electrician, one of the best around--but that's just where it starts. I called him to troubleshoot an elusive ground fault in our 20 year old 120v landscape lighting system. He came over the next morning and nailed it in minutes, then he moved on to quickly troubleshoot and repair all the luminaries, outlets and exterior wiring, much of which was still on X10 controls. Low- or line-voltage, Kevin does it all. He can handle a complete house rewire, plus a whole lot more. When he took on our kitchen remodel, we asked him to replace the large fluorescent light box with LED cans. Which he did, but then he was able to complete the job by lowering/sistering all the joists in the opening and sheet rocked it to match the rest of the ceiling. Kevin's an experienced general contractor and he offers an integrated approach to remodeling with related trades. If he's too busy, he'll bring in someone he knows will do the job as well as he does--and Kevin does the best work--he's the most knowledgeable, conscientious and detail-oriented, he's the cleanest, and the fastest. I have more lighting and electrical upgrades planned for this refresh and Kevin will be there for all the additions and changes because he makes himself available, even when he's super busy juggling jobs he always try's to schedule first available slots and works with you to take on problems and get the job done. We had Kevin out to look at some small electrical needs at our house. It took a while to get him on the phone, but he sounded really nice and gave very reasonable quotes. After one reschedule he came to look at the work, and again was very nice and knowledgable in person. We scheduled the work to be done on another day, but he never showed up. We called and left a message but didn't hear back, so the work was never completed. A little frustrating as we went to some efforts to be available at the house for both appointments. However, the guy was nice enough that I"m still giving him two stars. Maybe he is just a little too busy for the small projects. read more
