First yelp review in 20 years... Terrible. The woman on the phone needs a new hobby. They refused to change a flat on my electric scooter, despite me going there for a repair 2 weeks earlier for the EXACT SAME THING. The woman on the phone was screaming at me to never contact them again and was treating me like a deadbeat customer... She kept referring to my scooter as an ebike, and to call an ebike shop, all while trying to sell me a gas scooter in their store... and then running me in circles, like they we're actually going to help me, re-asking me if mine was gas or electric. Then saying they were too backed up to look at it, then changing her story again, now claiming they have just changed policy in the last 2 weeks and ONLY now repair 2 brands of scooters... when I just had it repaired by them 2 weeks previously. What a joke this lady is. Now I actually understand what the other reviewers are saying. The mechanic is okay if you can even get him to look at your scooter. Stick with other scooter shops. read more

Just went to get my scooter fixed, only asked if he could pump air into my tire, he says "I don't do that kind of stuff"... he also says they don't work on electric scooters when there's nothing but electric scooters and e-bikes in his shop...I feel like he doesn't like black people or their business read more

He does great work and he stands by what he does. He also takes the time to make sure that there's nothing else besides for the things that he's fixing it could be wrong. They'll let you know about it in the future. read more

i purchased a trike from this business and it was a smooth transaction. Mike and Liz both provided details to help make the riding and maintenance easier for my son. a little thing about using non-ethanol gas and how gas in a container produces "water" that will adversely affect the moped's operation and what steps you can take to counter this issue. They are direct and honest when dealing with you something I appreciate. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. Old hag on the phone began speaking real slow and decided to talk down to me saying "Are you speaking English", this was after I simply asked if they had a certain part. Off the rip she had an attitude with me which is never okay espically if you're answering the phone for customers. I will never ever touch this place with a six foot pole and if you do decide to go here, good luck. read more

The older married couple that run this business are so rude for no reason. They don't know how to talk to people. Ask a question and she says "well did you not read the site??". The husband can be heard outside swearing and bemoaning having to do his job when told what a customer needs by his wife. If there were halfway decent bike places in concord, this one would be out of business. They also sell very used cheaply made helmets for 70+. Helmets that, even new online, are not worth more than 40-50. read more

I went there to get a moped to drive to and from work. from the moment I entered, the woman begin treating me like an idiot and talking down to me. The moped I got broke down after one wipe out in the grass. It stopped starting so I had to put it in the truck to take it to them to fix it when I got there they basically called me a dumb ass for laying it down I had no other options. The man then tried to over charge me for a $99.99 muffler stating that retail it was $298.00 but he was gonna "do me a favor" and give it to me for only $179.00 I asked if there were any other mufflers and he told me that they had a $60 one however, I would need to "bring it back in two weeks" because it was that bad. Personally, I believe if your product is that bad, you shouldn't be selling it when I told them in the real price of the muffler, he began screaming and cursing at me and. All proud they are very rude and unprofessional. Their products are low quality and you would be better off shopping elsewhere. read more

The first time I dealt with these guys they were very polite and very helpful. They have a sign outside that says we buy used scooters and dirt bikes. I returned a few months later to see if they were interested in a scooter I had for sale. The lady was extremely rude treated me like a piece of dirt and talked down to me, so I politely went about my way and will never send them any business again read more

Recently I got my scooter repaired [belt and related clutch components] at NC scooters. Mike is great guy, knows his stuff and tells you like it is, no running around. His prices are best in town and the job is done right. Anything you need for scooters, mopeds and I believe some motorcycles. He also can tow your scooter to his shop [for a price]. I have had prior experience at this store which was not so bad, he did fix my scooter and did it well it seems but my recent interaction left me inclined to not do business with them again. More simply put, they chose to be rude to me, when I was inquiring about how the financing worked at the store level, seeing as I got an e-mail indicating that I was approved for financing. Instead, they insulted me, were quite unfamiliar with how the financing works at the store level and proceeded to not only blame me for my supposed ignorance of how their financing works but insult me as well along the way. Come to find out, their said financing company?, charges over 90% interest. So, yeah, in a nutshell, I would personally refrain from them, maybe business has been good for them and they can afford to be a little cocky now, ie; raising prices and being snooty and rude, who knows. The husband that works on the bikes is nice and he fixed my sons bike. We really appreciate it.

After dealing with Anything On Wheels for a few years, coming to NC Scooter Shop was a life savor. The guy and his wife were friendly, and helpful, and know what they are doing as far as fixing the bike. We have used this company for about a year or so now, and never had any issues until the last time we went. Now keep in mind that we've been very courteous, friendly and we even have told them that we told all of our friends and family (even facebook) to use this company if they needed a scooter. Everytime we go up there we talk with them, laugh with them and just have a good ol' time, but we recently gave them another bike to work on and it took them about five months to get it fixed due to not having the parts for it, which is totally understandable, but we never received a call or anything about what was going on in this whole five months. When we go to pick it up, the wife is there but not the man, so she gives us the invoice, tells us how much to pay according to the number in the TOTAL box and we pay her. Before we leave we stay to put tag on scooter, so we were there for about 10 minutes after paying. Well we get home and the next couple days we have voicemails from her, saying "I think you know why I'm calling" just being rude. We didn't know what the hell she was talking about so we call her and apparently she had told us the wrong price and we actually owed her more, but she didn't know because her husband did it. Well she gets mad at us and says that we are trying to take advantage of her. I blew up. we paid what you told us to pay, even stayed afterwards and now you are calling leaving rude messages but not explaining why you are calling? After a big argument over this she apologized and haven't heard from her since, but I felt extremely disrespected considering we are always sweet with them, tell people to use them, and we pay them bukos of money every month, and we are actually struggling for money right now really bad, more than ever, and we only were off by 100 bucks (the total to get the bike fixed was just as much as our rent 625) so we are really hurtng on the money situation and I just feel like they were really rude about the situation when it was THEIR mess up. She should have handled it differently. Now I feel like all they care about is money. read more

would have given this top shop 5 stars but i found the same scooter i bought at nc scooter ( BINTELLI PRIME) at a shop in Detroit Michigan for alot less brand new. other than the large mark up (750.00 as opposed to 1100) this place is way above the rest. read more
