Can am renegade XXC 110 EFI Bait & Switch. Supposed to be a Christmas gift for my son.

I recently contacted RideNow Power Sports (Concord, NC) about purchasing a 2025 Can-Am Renegade X XC 110 EFI that they had listed online for $3,491. I spoke first with Nick, who was extremely dismissive and had no interest in answering questions. He repeatedly insisted pricing could "only be done in person," even after I explained I was out of state and had someone local who could pick it up. Only after pressing did he reluctantly provide a price -- which came out to $4,997, nearly $1,500 above the listed online price. When I questioned how the price could jump that much, I was told by manager Hannah Fowler that BRP "mandates" a $495 fee, and she doubled down on the inflated pricing. She admitted the "managers set the pricing," which means the dealership is simply adding their own markup and blaming the manufacturer. This is the definition of bait-and-switch. The online price pulls you in, then they inflate the cost once they have you on the phone. I've purchased multiple Can-Am machines before (including a 2024 Outlander XTP 850 from another dealer without any of these shady add-on games), and I have never experienced a dealer so blatant about padding profit and acting like it's normal. Their pricing is misleading, the communication is dismissive, and the management is unapologetic about the deception. If this is how they treat someone before the sale, I can only imagine how they treat you afterwards. There are plenty of reputable Can-Am dealers who are transparent, respectful, and value repeat customers. This dealership is not one of them. Can I give this place zero stars. Even if I can help one person steer clear of this disaster of a dealership I'll be satisfied.

We came here to get our children a dirt bike. They had one of the biggest selections that we were able to find and convenient hours for a Sunday. We had help from Jay the sales associate who took great care of our needs and made sure we were happy with our purchase. Update to my originally 5 star review. Within the first 3 days we realized there was a slow leak in the tire from a hole in the inter tube. My husband took it back to the place the following Saturday and was told he would have to pay to get it repaired even though it was sold to us that way. As soon as we got it home the first day both tires needed air. We just thought because it might of sat a while and was not an issue. Unfortunately that was not the case. My husband spend his day off trying to figure out how to replace the inter tube. Make sure you double check your tires before you leave!

I visited most of the local dealerships and did not care for any. I dropped in on a few independent shops and got the sense that they did not need my business. It wasn't until I did a desperate hail mary Google search for "Honda motorcycle repair" that I found Sic Customs. I had recently come into a twenty-year-old ST1100 that had sat in storage for half a decade that I needed to get up and running. I called the shop and talked to the owner, Patrick, who sounded very knowledgeable and professional over the phone. Based on that, I decided to take my bike and my business his shop. These guys were on the case! Sic Customs got my bike up and running for a very reasonable sum and were very straight-forward about their schedule and commitments. Patrick also was extremely helpful with some follow-up questions I had after the service. You could argue whether or not they are the perfect independent shop, but they are definitely skilled, honest, and reasonably-priced. And if you've got all that in one shop, what more could you want?

Less than two minutes back on the water, the supercharger blew, sending shrapnel into the intercooler -- another $3,000+ repair. A certified tech I know later told me the engine wasn't fully cleared of water, likely causing the failure. It didn't end there. First time on the water this spring and an oil leak from a broken O-ring (their fault) causing a fourth trip to see them. All this and we rode it for less than an hour. The staff acts like they're doing you a favor fixing their own mistakes. The service manager Joie is unhelpful, and the GM, Susan Newsome, refused to speak with me. Incompetent service from top to bottom. Avoid this business.

Customer service at its finest at Lake Norman Powersports in Cornelius (not!)…read more My husband took our Can Am in Tuesday morning for a Wednesday appointment for oil/filter change, greasing, and inspection for a grinding noise when turning. When he went to pick it up today (Thursday) he was told the technician was "just finishing it up". After he paid the $576 bill, they brought it out and loaded on the trailer. While they were securing, my husband walked around and was looking at the grease fittings. Luckily, he knows what he is looking at and could tell that no greasing had been done. He went back into the office and told "Frank" that it had not been greased. He was told "oh you were a little early". Keep in mind, the appointment was Wednesday. The technician brought it back in, had it in for less than 10 minutes, and out the door it came again. Once again, the Can Am was loaded, and once again my husband walked around and looked. And, once again, he could tell at least one of the fittings had not been greased. After going back in and telling them the issue, they sent the tech back out with him. The tech immediately said "I greased all of the fittings on this", to which my husband (who was regrettably quite annoyed by now) pointed to one and said "does this f#$&ing fitting look greased?" The tech's response was "I guess I forgot one, and you're an a#$hole." Wow. Supposedly, the noise we hear is because both front axles need to be replaced to the cost of probably close to $800. Uh huh, right, and we are just going to bring it right back to have you do that. I told my husband he should check to make sure the oil really got changed.

Romy was very knowledgeable on sales deals how to get the numbers right to get me on a bike. I was able to squeeze in an exhaust to lessen the expense of adding it latter thanks to him and purchased the bike. Bought it on 4-09-26 The bike is awesome sales was great! The only wiff in the mix right now is I was told usually the exhaust takes about a week to arrive so if I put 600 miles on the bike I could knock out the service and get the exhaust on the bike to get right back on the bike. Of course I'm excited so I put 600 miles on in 4 days!!!... I called Romy, think that's who I should call, to schedule and make sure the exhaust would be there cause I was gonna bring it by on the 14th... but I should have called service to schedual the first service... also after just buying a car I thought first service is free especially on what I thought would just be a check up. But no Ducati does not run a program like that I was informed:/ but that's on me for assuming! Once I talked to service about the exhaust and service he was very helpful and gave me a date to bring it in. It's not this weekend or next weekend but shortly after which is a bit of a bummer. Knowing that I wanted to do both he wanted to check with parts on the exhaust arrival. 5 stars for service for listening and understanding what my goals were and squeezing me in. From what I understand April is a hectic bike repair season! Making sure I realigned my expectations I reached out to parts. In parts I spoke to Michelle ( 5 stars for her too!) Michelle went the extra mile and found my info, reached out to get in touch with the shipper, stepped over to Romy make sure everything is up to date. Called me back in literally 5 minuets and updated me that tracking was confirmed and the exhaust would be in when my check was scheduled! The whole team here is great but why 4 instead of 5? With all the hand offs in this environment. The team supported each other really well. But spending $37,000.00 buying add ons and shop time and strict manufacture specific maintenance intervals and delivery times. It sure would feel smoother to me, the customer, if sales just worried about sales, parts worried about parts, maintenance worried about maintenance.... I would have loved to have a dealership liaison or a transition person that would help keep expectations timelines and structure the handoffs from one department to another. In my opinion everyone I have interacted with has been happy, professional, realistic and forthcoming with good information! guys thank you!

Dangerous Mistake and Zero Accountability…read more I want to preface this with stating that Fairfield is top notch and a great sales person. This lies with whomever the manager is. I had a deeply disappointing, and frankly dangerous experience at Motorcycles of Charlotte. The same day I purchased my motorcycle from them, I discovered they had installed the wrong size front tire. They mounted a 110/90 tire when the bike clearly requires a 130/90, which is a major safety issue. While riding on the interstate just hours later, the tire came unseated, putting me at serious risk of injury. When I brought this to the shop's attention, the manager denied any responsibility, refused to replace the tire, and tried to blame me for supposedly hitting a pothole - something that absolutely did not happen. A tire coming off the bead on a brand-new purchase due to their installation error is not something to deflect or ignore. This wasn't a minor oversight, this was a life-threatening mistake followed by poor customer service and zero accountability. I strongly urge others to double-check everything if you choose to buy here, or better yet, take your business elsewhere. Your safety should never be compromised by negligence
