He collected information and came to the same conclusion as me, that the Honda Care purchase I made was not of any value to me considering that the Honda Service Pass came with my new car. This is the most unresponsive business ever. I called probably about 3-4 months ago inquiring about a replacement key, which I was told needed to be ordered and I'd be called to schedule. Never got that call back. Now I'm trying to schedule an appointment for a recall notice I received and have called 3 times on 3 different days, during business hours with no answer. This review is regarding the Honda Company rather than the dealership. On May 6 my Honda Ridgeline with 61K miles showed the message "emissions problem". I took it to Marburger Honda and after checking it, their next step (per company procedure) is to update the software. The total cost is approx. $217. My complaint is that the Honda company chose to update their software program and now the consumer must pay for the change. I still don't know if it will solve the problem, yet I'm forced to pay for the update. If they chose to update their software, there must have been a problem with the original software. Why should all the Honda Ridgeline owners pay for something the company chose to do? If the change is necessary, it should be considered a campaign or recall. It is simply a money grab with a giant corporation making more money from their customers. Shame on Honda. read more

Don't waste your time.. don't believe the internet price.. took my girlfriend there on 24 Sep 2021, because their advertised price was 3K lower than everyone else... get there, and the actual price BEFORE tax, title, and license, was 6K higher than the advertised price. Found a car pretty much what I wanted: The good: 1. They were within the market cost for mileage and price. 2. $750 Internet Discount Pricing when I inquired!! (beating market) 3. Car had some cosmetic flaws which they were open about and further discounted to close the deal. 4. Justin, my rep was easy and fast to deal with and very open with carfax and other information about the car I was looking at. Gave me good confidence. 5. They gave me a nice trade in on my QUARTER-MILLION mile car. (Honest - it passed inspection with 270K on the ODO.) 6. I had my dog with me (I know, dumb - but wife wanted to clean the house) and they let me bring him in, out of the heat. The not-so-good: 1. The car had some fixable/cleanable cosmetic flaws. I almost walked away. I felt their prep on the car could have been more thorough. I found some rust spots underneath (it's a used 4x4) and dead leaves and stuff in hood and tailgate jams. There was actually a car with lower mileage a couple hours down the road for a similar asking price by a private party. But these guys were open with me, acknowledged flaws in the car I liked, and discounted accordingly. They took my ancient car so I didn't have to Craigslist it! I dread buying a car because of the process. But this wasn't so bad. Was a bit of a drive for me, but certainly worth it. read more

We have been dealing with this deal ship for almost 2 yrs now. We originally bought our first car from priority Honda in huntersville and were pretty much screwed over. We decided to drive 60 miles to Albermarle from Mooresville where we were giving they best treatment ever. We dealt with JR who did everything possible to get us the Pilot we wanted and the payment we wanted. They followed through on their end and we have loved our accord. We still make the drive up for oil changes etc. the service department always goes above and beyond to help us outs and always gives us excellent service! Highly recommend this dealership. read more

Purchased the new 2016 Honda Pilot Elite here. Just have two issues... First we went there bc on Cars.com the rate of this car was $43,430 which we thought was a great price. When we got there, had money in hand they tried to say that price we saw was wrong, but they would work with us. (I suppose this was to reel people in for sales) ?? Idk?? Anyways....There was some serious hours of negotiating going on. We did pay more then we anticipated bc this was the only Elite within a 350 miles radius and we called other dealers in the area that could not get it. So we were willing to pay a little extra for that, but felt kinda jerked around. Then they promised we would be insured and they would call USAA. Well when we waited from a call from our car insurance, I got worried and called them. Needless to say, Marburger Honda DID NOT do what they said and thankfully we did not get into a wreck of any kind! My husband called to speak to the person who does the paperwork at Honda and they transferred us to our sales guy, RJ. When we told him our concerns he had the nerve to say that USAA must have a glitch. Wrong answer, pal! FIRED! How about you apologize for not doing your job correctly! For anyone seeking to purchase any car, do your homework, know your budget, read your paper work and make sure you call your insurance company after purchase bc these people can't do their jobs right and be trusted! If I would of wrecked my car or anything, I would be suing the shit out of this Honda dealership for sure! Be smart and don't allow anyone to take advantage of you. Car sales men are dealers to make a profit, not help you or be your friend. Most of them are crooks and don't know how to do their jobs correctly nor know a lick about the vehicles they're selling. Something is wrong if your customers know more about Honda's than a car sales men. Over all, be smart folks and watch your back here! read more

I received a flyer in the mail that had a scratch off from this dealership. The number under the scratch off matched a number directly underneath the "Flatscreen TV" prize. There were directions listed as well that used ambiguous wording in a very blatant attempt to deceive the recipient and imply they have won some major prize. In looking at previous complaints on the BBB and reviews online this is not out of the ordinary for this company to rip people off and deceive them and apparently they have done this scam in the past as well. My specific experience at the dealership occurred at about 6:15PM on 12/13/18. I arrived and spoke with a salesman who unfortunately I did not get the name of and was told that even though my scratch off number matched the number under the TV that it was not the prize won. According to the fine print on the back there were a total of 50,000 prizes available and 50,000 flyers mailed out meaning, as confirmed by the salesman, every single flyer recipient won a prize. To this I asked what the point of including the scratch off portion was if every flyer was a winner. The salesman agreed that it was meaningless and there was no reason to include it. As I figured the flyer ended up being good for a Bluetooth speaker supposedly valued at $60.00 which ended up being a cheap little speaker that can be purchased online for sub $5.00. At this point I asked the Sale Rep if I could speak with the manager about their deceitful advertising which he did do but in asking they joked and laughed with the other employees there that I was annoyed about their dishonest advertising. In comes the manager who did not give me his name. In talking with the manager he said that he was the one who designed the flyer and said that there was nothing wrong with it. In talking with them he too admitted that every flyer was a winner of some prize and agreed that he could have easily just put a banner saying "Come in to win one of these prizes" and then listed the possible prizes once you came into the dealership. From here I asked then why include the scratch off that makes it look like you won a big prize when you could have just been honest. To which he says "how would people know if they won a prize if they don't match a number". From here it just went round and round in circles. When I told him fine I will just contact the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint he did not care replying "that's fine, I'll just dispute it". Not only are these people being very dishonest and not caring about but they are being quite rude laughing at a customer/ recipient with a legitimate complaint about their wrong business practices. I would also be willing to bet that the number under the Bluetooth speaker prize (421802) was on a very very limited if any number of the flyers sent out and that the numbers matching up with the numbers under each of the larger prizes were on the majority if not all. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and would suggest anyone else who has had the same experience or received one of these flyers from them do the same. read more

After deciding on a 2015 Pilot EXL, we began a search in NC, SC, TN, and VA. Several dealers had what we wanted in stock but most wanted more than we wanted to pay. I made contact with Sandy Scott and explained to him where we were in the search and what we were looking for. We communicated by email and phone for a couple of days, then set up a time for my wife to stop by and test drive the Pilot. Give and take is part of the car buying experience, and even though I was at work 3 states away, Sandy and I did most of the negotiating by phone before my wife got there. Once she arrived, she was treated with the utmost respect and made to feel at ease. Sandy was professional and courteous as he dealt with her, which was a concern since I was so far away. Tim in financing was efficient and moved the process along. The GM, Brian, stopped by and was friendly to her too, and the whole experience was pleasant for us. This review is to show the dishonesty of car dealerships and sales gimmicks. I received a flyer in the mail to scratch and win a prize according to our scratch off we won a flat screen TV. I called the dealership to ask about the "catch" because there had to be a catch. When I spoke with Sinbad, he assured me that we had indeed won, and we needed to just bring in our flyer so they could confirm the win. I explained that we did not live close and we had no interest in coming to the dealership unless we had actually won. Sinbad told me that if our number matched, we had won. Our number matched perfectly the number for the flat screen TV. When we arrived we were told the numbers under the prize boxes did not correlate to our actual winning, that they were separate codes. How deceiving! How dishonest Tim Marburger Honda, shame on you. Our actual prize was some piece of crap blue tooth speaker from the dollar store. We will not buy a car from this dealership. I understand the use of sales tactics, but I despise dishonesty in every form. I believe this is a very dishonest sales tactic to get people into the dealership, this is so wrong, and this is why car dealerships and car salesmen get such a bag name. I would give this dealership negative reviews if possible. AVOID THEM!! I called regarding a used car I was interested in and made an appointment to test drive the car. The person on the phone verified with the sales manager that the car was still available, indicating she personally spoke with them. I told them the time was tight given I was driving an hour and a half in a mix of rain and snow. She indicated the sales manager was aware I was coming and asked that I be courteous enough to let them know if I wasn't going to make it because the sales manager was going to stay just for me. I got two reminder texts during my drive and attempted to let them know I was on my way. When I arrived, miraculously the car had sold "Just a little while ago". Of course the sales manager had no knowledge of an appointment, they sent two reminders on. Old fashioned bait and switch. Maybe they believe getting someone in the door is all that is required. But for me, I wouldn't buy a car from an unethical dealership that disrespected me and my time. I had money in hand to buy the vehicle of interest or any other vehicle they had available that fit my criteria, but I will take it elsewhere. Don't be fooled by their tactics. read more

My wife is a devoted Honda customer and had been talking about switching from her Civic to a CR-V for a couple of years now. When it finally came time to give up the Civic we cast a wide net searching online for a CR-V with everything on it. I put together a spreadsheet comparing model years, mileage, colors (interior and exterior), prices, and certified pre-owned status. After comparing over a dozen cars from various dealerships and having several frustrating experiences trying to get responses - I finally found just the right CR-V for the best price at Tim Marburger Honda just outside Charlotte, around 400 miles from our home. Scott, the internet sales manager, responded to my inquiry within minutes and was very prompt responding to all of my questions via e-mail. The car was offered at such a great price that there wasn't any significant haggling to do and Tim Marburger Honda was even able to beat our pre-approved financing rate from our credit union (a rate we'd been very happy with). Within hours of stumbling upon just the right car I had already gotten all of my questions answered, been approved for financing, and put down earnest money to seal the deal. Our visit to the dealership could not have been a better experience. It was raining so they'd put the car in the maintenance area (dry) for us to look over and start our test drive. Everything was exactly as promised - the only way anyone would know the car wasn't brand new was to check the odometer. The paperwork was already ready to go and with a few signatures we were back on the road with our new CR-V. I don't think Scott could possibly have been more friendly or helpful. We got a great car at an unbeatable price (and believe me I'd been checking) without any hassles. The dealership was spotless and all of the people we dealt with (Scott in particular) were as friendly and helpful as could be. I truly don't know how a car buying experience could be made any better. There are probably several dozen Honda dealerships closer to home, but when we're ready for our next vehicle, I know our search will start at Tim Marburger. read more

Don't waste your time working with this dealership. They are unprofessional and deceitful. They worked a deal with me on the phone over 2 days of calls and encouraged me to come to the dealership telling me we were going to be able to make a deal on an Odyssey. I even told them that I could not make the trip unless it was a solid deal. I had also mentioned that I had a bad experience with another Honda dealer and they assured me they were different, wrong! Meanwhile, they were working a deal with someone else on the same vehicle. They never gave me a heads up that the car would probably not be there when we arrived. I dragged my three small children an hour away from Charlotte, only to arrive as they were signing papers with another customer. I should have known when I arrived what their intent was, but they humored me by allowing me to see the vehicle and even allowed my husband to test drive it. I'm pretty sure their goal was to get us there and try to sell us another vehicle on their lot. The whole experience was shady. I would recommend working with another dealership who might be concerned about how they treat people. Tim Marburger Honda is the epitome of the stereotypical shady car dealer. Do not do business with this company. They don't deserve your money. read more
