Disappointing Experience - Save Your Money, Time, and Hair…read more
My experience with Serenity Salon has been incredibly disappointing, and honestly, the lack of accountability is what makes it even worse.
There is absolutely no transparency when it comes to how this salon handles mistakes. It's extremely frustrating to be told that something is possible, trust the professional's judgment, and move forward with a service based on those assurances, only to find out that it wasn't possible in the first place. The end result? You're left unhappy, frustrated, and with less money in your pocket.
After an unsatisfactory service, I had to return to the original salon, only to be told that I would have to PAY to have them correct the very mistake they made. Let that sink in. A customer pays for a service, is unhappy with the result, returns expecting accountability, and is then expected to spend even more money to fix it.
To make matters worse, the situation has left me in a position where I can't comfortably go to another salon to have my hair corrected because of the condition it has been left in. Now I'm stuck dealing with the consequences of someone else's work while being expected to pay even more to address it.
The attitude from management was just as disappointing. I won't name names, but the lack of professionalism, courtesy, and accountability was unacceptable. Rather than showing genuine concern for a dissatisfied customer, the experience left me feeling like the only thing that mattered was getting more money.
Mistakes happen. Nobody expects perfection, but how a business handles those mistakes says everything about its integrity. Unfortunately, I experienced very little accountability, transparency, or basic human consideration here. It honestly felt like dealing with money-hungry businesspeople rather than professionals who genuinely care about their customers.
My recommendation: If you have thick hair, long hair, or previously colored hair, please think twice before booking here. Save yourself the stress, frustration, and additional expense. Your hair is not something you should have to gamble with, especially when the salon isn't willing to stand behind its work.
There are plenty of salons out there. Find one that values its customers, communicates honestly, sets realistic expectations, and takes responsibility when things go wrong. Based on my experience, Serenity Salon did not.
Please just do better.
