We recently had Indian from another spot near midtown and it was just absolutely awful. I wasn't sure if I'd ever be able to convince my BF that good Indian DOES in fact exist in Reno. The chili paneer is still my absolute favorite from Maharaja and we'll need to try the chicken version next time! Indoor seating and 1 outdoor table. Plenty of parking. Open 7 days a week from 10:30am to 7:30pm, Sundays until 6pm. Service - I could not tell if they were open or not. After the server came back, we ordered drinks and an appetizer while we looked at the menu. The menu is huge and they offer a lot of different choices. I thought that was a great thing. When the server dropped off our appetizer, we placed the order for our entrées. They arrive shortly thereafter, and were pretty tasty. However, our server was indifferent that we were there. He rarely came back to check on our food or to see if we needed anything. And after we finished and were visiting, they never cleared the table. The dirty dishes just sat there. While the food was good, I'm not sure that I would go back because the server was just not friendly or accommodating.

1 Star - Very Disappointing Experience…read more Unfortunately, this was one of the worst Indian food experiences I've ever had. I really wanted to like this place, but the overall experience left a lot to be desired. Parking was difficult, and the restaurant itself wasn't particularly welcoming. The space is extremely large and felt more like a banquet hall than a cozy Indian restaurant. The service was good, and that's honestly the main reason I'm giving it one star. Unfortunately, the food was a major disappointment. The dishes were too watery, overly sweet, and heavily based on tomato purée, which completely overwhelmed the flavors. It was so disappointing that we couldn't even finish our food. To make matters worse, I asked for a glass of ice water and was told they didn't have ice because the ice machine would take about 15 minutes to make more. That was certainly an unexpected experience at a restaurant. I'm sorry for the harsh review, but I believe in being honest about my experience. Unfortunately, there just wasn't much about this visit that made me want to return. I do not recommend this place based on my experience.
