Spinach rice
Joanne S.

My sister has been wanting to try this restaurant for a couple of years, and getting recommendations from casino workrs. we were finally able to dine here for brunch on a Saturday about 1130a party of 8. Restaurant is practically empty which worked out for us since we were gonna catch movie at 115p. The restaurant itself is dimly lit, and easy to have conversations. We decided on a few dishes to try and were quite pleased with our choices. Since we had our older cousins with us who dont eat much, it was the perfect amount of food. What stood out to me as my favorite was the shrimp wrap. Loved the crunch of the outside wrappers the olive aioli. The spinach rice could've used more flavor, but the idea of it is great. The steak and eggs, was ordered medium well, which was a mistake, because it was sliced and cooked so the edges were burnt, unfortunately did not get a picture of that dish. But my brother in law doesn't like blood in his steak could not finish, even with the chimichurri sauce. All in all, we'd do e here again.

Decided to try something different while spending the day at Red rock Casino. Greek restaurant was just opening for dinner and no waiting line... ambience was amazing and the food and service did not disappoint either. I had grilled salmon, cooked perfectly medium with a squash puree. My brother had lamb kebab in a tomato rags with garbanzo beans and hint of olives. We shared a rice dish with fresh spinach and had plenty of food for both of us. Kostas , our server, was polite, attentive, and had the Greek accent to transform us to the isle of Greece. No room for dessert on this trip, but we will be back to try dips and fresh baked pita and seafood.

We went here for dinner on a Saturday night and had to wait for 45 minutes for a table. Once we were seated our server took our drink order. We ordered the sea bass from the Fish of the Day menu along with a side of Muhammara. The fish tasted fresh and paired well with the Muhammara. We also got a Bloody Mary and a mojito and both were good. Service was okay but could have been much better. The restaurant's design is nice.

Naxos Taverna is a contemporary Greek Style Seafood Restaurant and Oyster Bar located in the Red Rock Casino. It's a very attractive restaurant and it looks like everything should be nice. This review is only based on one lunch visit. A word of warning. You will do better than me here if you ask them not to salt your food and request salt on the side. We waited about 15 minutes for someone to take our order. It started with the iced tea. I was surprised that when I ordered an Iced Tea that someone would serve me very warm tea in a glass without ice. I had to ask for ice. The only plate we had (from the Restaurant Week Lunch Special Menu) that didn't have a problem was the East Coast West Coast Oysters. I started with the Greek Salad. In the middle of dressed tomatoes and cucumbers is a big wedge of feta cheese that is very salty and was covered in more salt. I couldn't eat it but I also note that I might be more sensitive to salt than other people. My husband tolerates more salt than me and agreed that the feta cheese was very salty. This salad also came with pickled shallots that were SO STRONG THAT THEY COULD DO PUSH UPS. (nobody could possibly eat them) This salad was 2 stars at the most...only the ripe heirloom tomatoes were good in it. I had the Greek Sea Bass called Lavraki. It was cooked to perfection but was loaded with too many salty capers and an overly generous handful of salt. I scraped off all I could and it was still salty. The seafood linguini had some problems too. The clams and shrimp were over cooked. My husband thinks that the crab might have been missing? We shared the froyo and spiced date cake for dessert. The cake lacked flavor but also was all dried out like maybe it was a week or two old. The froyo seemed fresh but lacked good flavors. This whole experience could have been better. Maybe dinners are better here?

Naxos at Red Rock Casino absolutely blew us away. We're big food people, and this was hands-down some of the best Greek food we've had in Vegas--maybe anywhere. The chicken deserves its own standing ovation: **the best chicken we've ever had**. Super moist, perfectly cooked, and seasoned in a way that feels simple but somehow unforgettable. For appetizers, don't skip the **eggplant and zucchini chips with tzatziki**. Pro tip: **ask for the sauce on the side** and use it as a dip--game changer. And dessert? Get the **yogurt cup**. I know it *sounds* boring, but trust two foodies on this: it's absolutely worth it. Light, fresh, and the perfect ending. **Reservations are recommended**, and if you can, ask for **Aaron**--he's our favorite server and made the whole experience even better. We'll be back every time we're at Red Rock.

Wow this was truly a phenomenal experience! The ambiance was great and everyone was so nice and attentive! The food was spectacular! I got the grilled artichokes, the fingerling Potatoes and the Spanakopita! Wow it was a vegetarian's wet dream!!! I cannot wait to go back next time I'm in vegas!

If you've ever wondered whether great seafood can exist in the middle of the desert, Naxos Taverna is here to prove that not only is it possible -- it can be exceptional. Walking into Naxos felt like stepping out of Red Rock and straight into a date‑night taverna somewhere along the Aegean. The vibe was this perfect blend of lively, intimate, and upscale, with just enough energy to make it feel like the start of a great night out (which, for us, it was -- pre‑gambling fuel). Katafi Wrapped Prawns -- A Happy Accident Our meal started with a small hiccup: the kitchen was running behind. Before we could even wonder what was happening, our server Kostas came over, apologized, and said he'd check on things. Moments later, someone arrived with two orders of the Katafi Wrapped Prawns -- complimentary, as a gesture for the delay. Honestly? Best "mistake" ever. These prawns were incredible -- crisp, light, and delicate, almost like the elevated cousin of shrimp tempura. The katafi phyllo added this airy crunch that made every bite feel special. And the sauce... the sauce is what ties the whole dish together. If you go, don't skip this. Pan Roasted Chilean Sea Bass -- The Star The Sea Bass was everything you want it to be: buttery, flaky, melt‑in‑your‑mouth tender. The tomato and kalamata olive sauce brought this bright, briny depth that made the dish feel both comforting and refined. This is the kind of entrée that makes you pause mid‑conversation. Marouli Salad A refreshing break between bites. The arugula adds a bitterness that I loved, even if my friends didn't. If you're an arugula fan, this is your salad. Zucchini & Eggplant Chips Light, crisp, and seasoned beautifully -- almost like Mediterranean tempura. Perfect for sharing, though you may not want to. Service That Feels Personal Kostas was fantastic -- attentive without hovering, quick with drink refills, and genuinely warm. He even mentioned he was born on Maui, which made the experience feel even more personal since that's where I'm from. He also saved my friends from ordering the wrong salad by letting them know the Greek Salad doesn't come with lettuce and recommending the Marouli instead. That kind of menu knowledge is gold. I also appreciated the fresh fish menu, which seems to change depending on what's available that day. It's a small detail, but it tells you exactly where their priorities are: quality first. Drinks & Dessert My friends enjoyed the Aphrodite cocktail, and I went with a Sauvignon Blanc (though I do wish they had a Pinot Grigio by the glass). The only surprise was that the bill came before dessert was offered -- not a dealbreaker, but I would've loved to see what they had for next time. Final Thoughts Would I return? Absolutely. Naxos isn't just "good for Vegas." It's genuinely great seafood, period. And while it has Mediterranean and Greek influences, I wouldn't lump it in with the typical Greek spots around town. This is a fine seafood restaurant with a Greek soul -- and it deserves to be recognized as such. If you haven't been, it's a must‑try. Especially if you think great seafood can't exist in the desert... Naxos might just change your mind.

We visited on Friday, for lunch, with a party of two and it was a very nice experience. We had a reservation and were seated right away in a spacious booth. The dining area is large and well appointed. The waitress arrived and took drink orders. Their margaritas are nice and strong. We started with Hummus, Kataifi Wrapped Prawns, and a Greek Salad. All were well prepared and tasty. From there we had the Skirt Steak and a whole Dorade fish. My wife had Cookies & Bites for dessert. The fish and steak were delicious. The $35 Prix Fixe menu was actually a good deal. The service was excellent, refills were expeditious and plates were cleared away promptly. A little pricey, but overall a very good place for Med fare.

I was so happy I chose Naxos Taverna for my Sunday brunch selection. First the Ambiance, soft lighting the vibe was just relaxing. Nothing would be possible without great service and food of course. I always look for both to be excellent so the experience can be much more fulfilling. The server Liz was friendly and so nice that she made our dining experience enjoyable. The food would not happen if it weren't for Amalia who did our amazing Marouli salad. Juan did our Charcoal Grilled Skirt Steak and was so tender and mouth-watering. My recommendation would be the charred Spanish Octopus, which is a must-try. They also have bottomless mimosas for $28. Overall great food, service, and Ambiance, definitely coming back for some more.

Tried to walk in to another restaurant in Red Rock but they were booked. (Around 2pm on a Sunday.) We ate here because we still wanted quality food and the reviews said we'd get that. We don't normally eat Greek/Mediterranean so we weren't sure what to expect however we liked everything we tried and will definitely be back. Ambience was clean and relaxing. Our server was great, she knew the menu well, was friendly and handled the rush well. For the first 10-15 minutes she was the only employee we saw other than the hostess. The reason they lost a star is because my husbands old fashioned came on small ice (yet they have large ice cubes, so this is a training issue.. it also didn't have a cherry which is standard for an old fashion; small ice waters down a drink as such.. I get when the oyster bar next door uses small ice cubes but not an establishment like this). Also because they have a cash option and card option for payment on the bill. I understand credit card fees but would rather it be included in the prices and/or cash pay discount offered. I also don't recall seeing anything about the price difference on the menu but maybe I missed it as there was a lot to take in being a newb to this cuisine. Overall left satisfied.

When we first walked in, we were greeted by the very nice hostess. Also, Tim. I believe he is probably one of the managers. he was great and made us feel very welcomed. he even took the time to come over twice to make sure we were doing OK. I love the ambience, the colors and the cleanliness of the restaurant. Christopher was our server and he was great going over the whole menu with us since this was our first time. we will definitely be coming back. The food was really great to the seafood to the chicken, rice and dessert.

Stepping into Naxos Taverna feels like I am in Greece. The decor and the ambiance gives Santorini and Mykonos vibes all the way. They even have a lovely private dining room on the side and a terrace area. They have a set menu and also their whole fish specials. The fish are flew in daily and can be salt baked or grilled. We ordered the zucchini and eggplant chips, kataifi wrapped prawns, tzatziki, houmous, muhammara, and a grilled fish. The chips were so light and airy. It was the perfect appetizer. It came with tzatziki on the bottom. The dips were all delicious but I have to say that the muhammara was my favorite. It had a robust flavor profile and paired well with their home made pita bread. The kataifi wrapped prawns were so crunchy! I really enjoyed them. The grilled fish was definitely the star of the show. They presented it to us after it has been grilled and then took it back to get deboned. It had a lovely flavor and it was an additional perk to not have to worry about the fish bones. To top the dinner off, we had their pistachio froyo for dessert. It was a great palette cleanser. The service was great and the food was amazing! I can't wait to come back here again.

Our server Jake (i hope thats your name, i definitely did NOT remember and went off the name on the check), was VERY enthusiastic about their current selection on the HARLO HOUR, and was ecstatic to hear i was about to order the entire menu. Between the two of us, we had ordered the 2x WEST COAST OYSTERS, 2x SEABASS TOSTADA, LOBSTER TOAST, RHODE ISLAND CALAMARI, TOTS & CAVIAR, 2x SURF & TURF SKEWER, PRIME NY STEAK TARTARE, and the HARLO BURGER. First to appear was the WEST COAST OYSTERS, i believe he said maybe "Kusshi" ?? were the specific type this time? which includes a seasonal mignonette (a popular accompanyment for oysters containing shallots and a type of vinegar). Small but fresh ! This was actually so good, we ordered more later ! The SEABASS TOSTADAS came next, with sweet potato, chipotle aioli, and red onion. This was HIGHLY recommended by Jake as a favorite and he was SUPER sad they are going to remove this from menu soon. Never had seabass this way before. Firm texture. Simple and clean. Disappeared in a bite. SURF & TURF SKEWERS arrived soon after, containing wagyu beef, shrimp topped with a salsa verde. VERY tasty and bright from the salsa verde. Beef was tender. Shrimp was fresh. Any of the last 3 items, i can eat a ton of, until i POP ! LOBSTER TOAST and PRIME NY STEAK TARTARE were placed in front of us while we enjoyed the skewers. The LOBSTER TOAST consist of housemade Japanese milk bread with tarragon aioli and shaved fennel. The PRIME NY STEAK TARTARE consists of espellete, mustard, egg with some toasted baguette slices. These two aren't bad but i guess not our favorite. The Japanese milk bread and baguette were good. We're a sucker for a good bread. First time i've had steak tartare with raw beef on top of a large amount of was seemed like chopped boiled eggs, vs like an egg yolk on top. Guess in a way it's missing a sort of a "binder" so it kind of fell apart easily The RHODE ISLAND CALAMARI and TOTS & CAVIAR came out soon after. Both fairly LARGE portions compared to anything prior. The RHODE ISLAND CALAMARI is lightly fried with a spicy pomodoro sauce and peppadews (omg i finally found the name for these ridiculously addicting peppers). The TOTS & CAVIAR come with a mediterranean buttermilk & smoked trout roe dip, which was VERY thick and heavy. Was actually 1 of the 2 things that DIDN'T get finished (took it home). The tots were wonderfully seasoned. Finally, the HARLO BURGER. Consists of Westholme wagyu beef on a brioche bun, new American cheese, and wagyu bacon. Split this in 1/2 and each ate a 1/4 (took the other 1/2 home). Actually quite a delicious burger. The server gave us complimentary chocolate (bon bon? cake pop? what did he call this...) but it was delicious If i had to say what item's i'd tried, to recommend, it would be the WEST COAST OYSTERS, SEABASS TOSTADAS, SURF & TURF SKEWERS, RHODE ISLAND CALAMARI, and the HARLO BURGER. Everything overall, was delicious. We actually liked this meal so much, tryin to see when we'd return for an actual dinner meal. AMAZING service from Jake. VERY attentive.

The highlights were definitely the kale salad and the Alaskan snow crab roll with soy paper, both were super fresh and flavorful. The surf and turf roll was solid too. On the downside, the firecracker shrimp and miso cod didn't hit. The cod actually came out burnt (like noticeably black on half of it), which was surprising, but the server handled it perfectly, took it back right away, and comped it. That level of service definitely stood out. Overall, it's still a great go to for late nights or even a lunch with a good bar scene, solid food, and consistently great service.

The food is top tier and he explains every dish being served. They have the freshest seafood and check out their specials which change from time to time. They have fresh wasabi which is rare in Vegas. Their housemade soy sauce goes with everything even ice cream! We had the lamb which is not gamey, part of their specials. The skewers are a must! Chef SJ recently joined the team and we also tried his food before, really good. My fave is the ocean trout crudo which they top with hot oil, not to be missed. I'm not a fan of oysters but theirs made me love it. Check it out of you haven't

That said, the experience didn't live up to expectations. Our bill came out to around $800, and unfortunately the service really took away from the night. Our server was kind, but clearly overwhelmed and unable to keep up with her tables. Drink orders were forgotten multiple times (at least 3-4), and we were never checked on--not even once after our food arrived, despite a couple of dishes missing the mark. Drinks regularly took 20+ minutes, and we ended up going to the bar ourselves a few times just to follow up. For a restaurant at this price point, you expect a much higher level of service. It's a beautiful place with a lot of potential, but the service issues made what should have been a special celebration pretty disappointing.

We made seafood boilds with snow crab, scallops, and peeled shrimp. All seafood boils come with sausage, corn, and potatoes. It was so tasty and seasoned to perfection. The amount of food was so huge that we made takeouts full of meat. The bowls of ckam chowder are creamy, seasoned so well, and full of whole fresh calms. The price is supported by the literal fresh out of the tank seafood, the quantity you receive, and the outstanding customer service you receive. Oh yeah, it's super clean and the decor is classic.

The shrimp were fine, but the pan roast was so rich and heavy that it became hard to eat after a few bites. It felt more overwhelming than comforting. Dessert didn't help. The cheesecake came out straight from the fridge and was so cold it was firm and difficult to enjoy. Cheesecake should be creamy, not something you have to wrestle with. Service was also very slow since it looked like only one server was trying to take care of the whole floor, which made the wait time drag. Not terrible, but for a place built around indulgent seafood and comfort flavors, the execution and service just didn't land.
