It had a nice ambiance, however, if you are seated at the front of the restaurant, you are literally near the slot machines. Thank God we were seated inside and for a moment we forgot we were inside a casino. We started with their Katafi Prawns, they were amazing! Loved the touch of olive flavor dip it came with. Their pulpo came with crispy smashed potatoes, they were good too! Fresh pita bread anyone? Don't skip those. The hummus dip with beets were heavenly. I ordered their Alaskan king crab. Wow. I think they put mayo on it, it was rich and yummy!!! The scallops were good too! There's a tiny kick to it, but all in all good. The skirt steak was on the bland side unfortunately, however everything else compensated for the lack of flavor like the spinach rice and crispy potatoes. Came in for an atypical Thanksgiving meal. Started off with a warm greeting from our server Tina who claimed at least 90% Greek heritage. And she respected her roots! (Smile) She was not only familiar with the Greek language, but was a true connoisseur of the entire menu. She made some great suggestions from both the fish menu as well as the main menu. We started off our meal with the Greek salad, which was large enough to share between three or four people. We also had the charred octopus appetizer. The flavors were fantastic. The photos do not do this place justice but give a peek at the variety available. Here is a summary the experience: Food: top notch! Fresh and flavorful. Mediterranean food always leaves me feeling satisfied but not stuffed. And this experience exceeded expectations. They brought the fish in the salt crust to show how it had been cooked before preparing it to serve. Impressive presentation and the quality matched. Service: Excellent. Granted we were one of three tables since we came at lunch and this is typically a dinner only establishment. Nevertheless everyone was attentive and the food came in a a timely manner but not so quick that you had the impression of it being pre-made. Value: The price was right. My sister has been wanting to try this restaurant for a couple of years, and getting recommendations from casino workrs. we were finally able to dine here for brunch on a Saturday about 1130a party of 8. Restaurant is practically empty which worked out for us since we were gonna catch movie at 115p. The restaurant itself is dimly lit, and easy to have conversations. We decided on a few dishes to try and were quite pleased with our choices. Since we had our older cousins with us who dont eat much, it was the perfect amount of food. What stood out to me as my favorite was the shrimp wrap. Loved the crunch of the outside wrappers the olive aioli. The spinach rice could've used more flavor, but the idea of it is great. The steak and eggs, was ordered medium well, which was a mistake, because it was sliced and cooked so the edges were burnt, unfortunately did not get a picture of that dish. But my brother in law doesn't like blood in his steak could not finish, even with the chimichurri sauce. All in all, we'd do e here again. read more

Decided to try something different while spending the day at Red rock Casino. Greek restaurant was just opening for dinner and no waiting line... ambience was amazing and the food and service did not disappoint either. I had grilled salmon, cooked perfectly medium with a squash puree. My brother had lamb kebab in a tomato rags with garbanzo beans and hint of olives. We shared a rice dish with fresh spinach and had plenty of food for both of us. Kostas , our server, was polite, attentive, and had the Greek accent to transform us to the isle of Greece. This review is only based on one lunch visit. A word of warning. You will do better than me here if you ask them not to salt your food and request salt on the side. We waited about 15 minutes for someone to take our order. It started with the iced tea. I was surprised that when I ordered an Iced Tea that someone would serve me very warm tea in a glass without ice. I had to ask for ice. The only plate we had (from the Restaurant Week Lunch Special Menu) that didn't have a problem was the East Coast West Coast Oysters. I started with the Greek Salad. In the middle of dressed tomatoes and cucumbers is a big wedge of feta cheese that is very salty and was covered in more salt. I couldn't eat it but I also note that I might be more sensitive to salt than other people. My husband tolerates more salt than me and agreed that the feta cheese was very salty. This salad also came with pickled shallots that were SO STRONG THAT THEY COULD DO PUSH UPS. (nobody could possibly eat them) This salad was 2 stars at the most...only the ripe heirloom tomatoes were good in it. I had the Greek Sea Bass called Lavraki. It was cooked to perfection but was loaded with too many salty capers and an overly generous handful of salt. I scraped off all I could and it was still salty. The seafood linguini had some problems too. The clams and shrimp were over cooked. My husband thinks that the crab might have been missing? We shared the froyo and spiced date cake for dessert. The cake lacked flavor but also was all dried out like maybe it was a week or two old. The froyo seemed fresh but lacked good flavors. This whole experience could have been better. Tried to walk in to another restaurant in Red Rock but they were booked. (Around 2pm on a Sunday.) We ate here because we still wanted quality food and the reviews said we'd get that. Our server was great, she knew the menu well, was friendly and handled the rush well. For the first 10-15 minutes she was the only employee we saw other than the hostess. The reason they lost a star is because my husbands old fashioned came on small ice (yet they have large ice cubes, so this is a training issue.. it also didn't have a cherry which is standard for an old fashion; small ice waters down a drink as such.. I get when the oyster bar next door uses small ice cubes but not an establishment like this). Also because they have a cash option and card option for payment on the bill. I understand credit card fees but would rather it be included in the prices and/or cash pay discount offered. It came with tzatziki on the bottom. The dips were all delicious but I have to say that the muhammara was my favorite. It had a robust flavor profile and paired well with their home made pita bread. The kataifi wrapped prawns were so crunchy! I really enjoyed them. The grilled fish was definitely the star of the show. Me and hubby visited it for the first time this Wednesday. We were so impressed! The decor is very nice inside and the layout is spacious. We were greeted right away by a beautiful hostess ( we did not have any reservations) politely. The tables and chairs are so comfortable and elegantly adorned with their own bottle of classy extra virgin olive oil fr Greece. It was delish! I had the chicken which came with part of the garlic lemon chicken and potatoes. For dessert, I went with the baklava cheesecake, but I tasted more of the cheesecake than the baklava because it lacked my expectations of the walnut, sweetened syrup and flakiness of a baklava. Whenever I usually keep it light and just order their dips and spread which I say is worth it alone. We got their Tzatziki, Muhammara and their Marinated Green Olives & Herbed Feta. If you have problems picking, I suggest asking the server what they recommend as this is how we came across these flavors. This dish comes out with fresh pita bread and is a great appetizer as you get loads of different flavors in each bite. We also ordered the Green Chickpea Falafel which was fresh and crispy. They also have selection of oysters that vary from either West Coast or East Coast. Overall I feel like this place is good for a snack when you're at Red Rock. Must try: -Kataifi shrimp (5/5): it's crispy, juicy and flavorful. -Raw sea bream (5/5): nice seasoning with fresh sashimi. -Spanish rice (4/5): nice seasoned rice. -Crispy potatoes (5/5): crispy outside and soften inside with great garlic cheese flavors. -Lavraki (5/5) reminded of the same seasoning in Milos. -Baklava cheese cake (5/5): so good! Can't find this very often. I'm not a dessert person but wow these cheese cakes. Skip: Tried couple of pastas during restaurant week: lobster and crab diablo and seafood pasta. Not a fan. A friend and I checked out this place as a part of Restaurant week. The lunch was worth a visit and it enticed us enough to want to check it out again in the future. The ambiance was warm and inviting and while I did not love being sat directly next to another couple, they were about to leave. They lean into the nautical theme and the decor matched perfectly without being too over the top. We ordered from the pre fix menu and then shared the different items. My favorite was the skirt steak followed closely by the prawns. The staff were friendly and professional and ensured that we had everything that we needed. I was a little disappointed that the steak or fish did not come with a small side, but otherwise the food was excellent and should for sure be added to your list! read more

Wow...so we decided to give Red Rock another shot. After being highly disappointed with the food at Lotus of Siam we wanted to try Naxos Taverna and try some Mediterranean food. I've to say this place was a hit. The food was amazing! The service was amazing! The staff was great. Since this was our first time in they made sure suggest some of their best dishes and they did not disappoint. The ambience was fantastic we sat in the covered "patio"section which was great for the wife and I. Very lively tables and guest made for a great date night. I would highly recommend this place for nice evening out. Great food and Great people. Thank you Naxos Taverna we will be back. read more

Food and service were amazing! The restaurant is beautiful and really transports you to Greece. The crispy salmon with squash puree was delicious. We enjoyed everything we ordered. The service was really nice as we were seated immediately and waited no less than 5 minutes to order and receive our drinks. The philo dough breadpudding was unlike any other bread pudding. I tried the fixed dinner menu with a salad, crab and lobster pasta with squid ink, a spiced cake. And I also got Zucchini chips and Hamachi Crudo. I had to take the cake to go because portions are so generous. I loved everything but the pasta especially just blew my mind. It is so incredibly flavorful, I just couldn't believe it. Probably the best pasta dish I've ever had. The service was also phenomenal, and the ambiance is really nice. A bit on the pricey side but in my opinion worth it for a really nice dinner out. read more

Inspired by the taverns of Greece. We were definitely transported last night. The space is beautiful and our adorable server was straight off the boat from Greece and I could listen to him talk all night. The food is fantastic. Very fresh ingredients from all the great vegetables to the mild and tender fish. A few items that really stood out to me were the creamy dips with warm pita that were brushed all over with olive oil. The incredibly tender chicken meatballs infused with herbs and spices in a delicious tomato sauce. The grilled fish were prepared so simply with charred lemon, spices, and sea salt allowing the fish itself to really standout. And sometimes the calories are worth it when it comes to dessert and both the very creamy baklava cheesecake and decadent chocolate cake are worth it. Last night had dinner here. We ordered the following: Dips and Spreads Tzatziki Houmous Muhammara With pita- we ordered another round of pita Lemon-Garlic Jidori Chicken it came with crushed potatoes- SO GOOD Greek Salad- feta cheese, tomatoes and cucumbers Royal Dorade cooked whole and served deboned with charred lemon and salt-SO GOOD Kataifi wrapped prawns-AMAZING I ate all 4 myself I think that's everything. No photos. I just had a quiet dinner that was very memorable especially comparing it to what I normally eat. I was to meet friends for dinner, but illness intervened and I came alone. I was seated in what I'll call the patio area--an area where you can look into the casino and people watch. rather than in the main part of the restaurant. I looked over the menu online and decided to try something different. Normally, I'm a person who is going to order beef or chicken. I ended up ordering completely different from my normal. For a starter, I ordered the saganaki and for the main course, I ordered the briam. I was concerned about the amount of food the two dishes were so I asked my server, Lenny, for advice. He explained they would be fine for one person. He took the order and asked if I wanted the two together or did I want him to course it out. I opted for coursing it out which was the right move. The saganbaki came and it was wonderful!! The cheese is Kefalograviera, one of the most popular Greek cheeses made from sheep's milk and sometimes mixed with goat milk. Saganaki is pan seared Greek cheese. It is then given a dose of lemon. In the case of the Naxos saganaki, it was lemon honey which lightly coated the exterior of the cheese. A perfect starter. After a bit, the main course came. I have never had briam and this was a chance to try something new. Briam is roasted vegetables with braised lentils. The dish was beuatifully plated with the lentils on the bottom and a circle of roasted vegetable rounds in a circle around the plate and above the lentils. It looked appealing. It tasted even better. Time for dessert and time to try something different again. I ordered the soufra, partly on Lenny's recommendation. It consists of blueberry, citrus custard, phyllo, and a bit of lemon gelato on the side of yet another very nicely made dish. The blueberry and custard were super and a lemon dessert is always a good way to end a meal. It was a quite evening. Service was excellent. I ended up having a vegetarian meal and it didn't kill me although I heard a woman's voice asking, "Where's the beef?" I realized I didn't need to have it to have an outstanding meal.
