Bill and the team over here will leave you underwhelmed with the job you hire them for. I requested a job with 4 men which they graciously accepted. They asked me to pay in advance and we did so. When the job came up only 3 men showed and we found out from our client onsite that only 3 men showed up. When I requested a 1/4 rate reduction for the missing man I was dealt with nothing but argumentative behavior and avoidance of contact until I hounded Bill down for a resolution. We were given a 17% rate reduction when all was said and done. Be mindful of these business practices and avoid anything of true value with this Navis team. 1 read more

Hired them to ship antique statues. Well, once they got our payment info, they didn't communicate at all. Delivered a 100lb crate at the bottom of our driveway on an angle when the whole thing had FRAGILE slapped all over it. Literally, only an idiot would have done this as it was about to tip over. Also.....didnt tell us when it was being delivered. And we paid them more than other quotes bc allegedly they do a good job. Contacted them about the crap job they did (bc I had to move 120 lbs up our driveway and literally herniated a disc doing it), they promised to get back to us and blamed a third party (but we PAID them). So yeah, we buy a lot up there, we won't use you again, and you are a crap company, period. You ought to be ashamed to charge for such dogcrap work. Only reason this isnt one star? Navis was hired to pick up and package some electronic / camera items for me. I specified I would be using my FEDEX account for shipping, but they were handling packaging. Instead, they decided to package this for freight shipment instead. I told them I was clear this was meant to go in boxes for FEDEX, as the items were not that large and could easily be packaged into boxes and freight was unnecessarily expensive as items were not that large or heavy. They eventually were convinced to package things as they originally agreed, but ended up doing a terrible and incompetent job on the packaging. There was some stringy foam placed on top, but almost nothing on sides of items except for the world's thinnest layer of bubble. Basically the items were all touching the sides of the box with no protection. They even threw a glass filter on the bottom of the box loose for good measure. The boxes arrived crushed because of the inadequate packing material which allowed items to freely move around in the box. Somehow there wasn't that much obvious external damage to items, but they tried very hard to have things arrive broken. I got lucky, but I'd wager most people would not be so lucky. This type of packaging is what you'd expect from an Ebayer who has never shipped anything before, not from a professional packaging company. Their pricing seemed reasonable, but I guess you get what you pay for, because it isn't worth using a company that does not care for your stuff. If there had been major damage, insurance would never have paid for it because it's insufficient packaging and shipper would not take fault for something packaging company failed to do properly. So also they are putting the client at great risk by voiding their ability to do a damage claim through their own packing negligence. Avoid! read more

I had a table and 4 chairs shipped by this location. The price was very expensive and the shipping took over a month to be picked up and delivered once contracted. When the items were picked up, everything was intact and together. When eventually delivered, one of the table legs was missing its foot that allows for the proper leg height and leveling of the table. The company argues that the items were properly packed and shipped, but that is not possible if this attached piece is missing. Aisha has been very unhelpful and dismissive in correcting their mistake or taking ownership of the fact that a good piece of furniture is now defective because of this carelessness. I feel ripped off and will not be able to trust this company in the future. They did not pack fragile items carefully and two ceramic art pieces were broken. in fact one broke before being shipped without all the pieces so it couldn't be repaired. they moved things out of the apartment without packing carefully first. Worst packaging ever! Estimated shipment at 153 lbs, charged for 153 lbs, actual package 40 lbs. minimal bubble wrap-2 sheets, minimal peanuts. Over phone conversation Owner stated the item required ground transport, not a company like FedEx, but FedEx was used to ship the under packed item and end results: Completely shattered Fortuni chandelier replacement value $1500.00. Also charge for a lift gate and NO liftgate on FedEx trucks. Owner, Bill Greenwood, negligent and unwilling to take responsibility. I am so pleased with the level of service I received from Navis Pack & Ship. My mother passed away in May and I returned home to NY a few weeks ago to clean out her apartment. I needed a shipping company to ship a few boxes of china and crystal glasses along with a solid wood chest that my father made for me many years ago. I shopped around but couldn't find a shipping company that I felt comfortable with. Most of the quotes that I received were over $1300, which I was not willing to pay. When I called Navis and spoke with Bill, he was nothing less than professional. I explained my shipping needs and he asked me to email him pictures of the items I needed shipped, then he provided me with a decent quote. We scheduled the shipping service for a few days after I received the quote. When they came to my mother's apartment to pick up the chest, it was wrapped and packaged safety, then all my items were shipped about a week later. Because my shipment was very small it stayed in the Navis warehouse for about week and shipped with several other shipments.
