Extremely unprofessional…read more
I have been using Leah and her services since July 22nd and in contact with her since July 7th about a commercial weekly cleaning. We chatted at this time about her firm rate, availability for pre-booking the year on a weekly basis, and about my past experiences with cleaners for this particular job. During this time she was pleasant and friendly. I have reiterated through and through that the amount of time it takes, does not matter to my husband or me, but the level of cleanliness is the most important to me. The first service wasn't as clean as we were hoping for as Leah seemed to be rushed and focused on time over quality and cleanliness, I mentioned again that the amount of time didn't really matter, and that we would happily pay her for her time. At this time she asked if we would like to keep our visits, and we did. We had no issues the next few cleanings. Leah and I chatted while she cleaned, I noticed that the area had been cleaner for longer periods at this time after confronting her about taking her time. I always paid her on time after services, in late August we switched to venmo payments as I wasn't always going to be home when she came by. Saturday the 4th I added the house into her cleaning duties. This is when my husband and I really noticed issues arising. Leah, all over the house would shove random items in different drawers. It took us a long time to recover our items and place them back where they were supposed to be. She claimed that she only provided the best "hotel experiences", and that she expected her clients to have things a certain way and that it's never been an issue - which I find very hard to believe. We've had many house cleaners before and this experience was odd. I waited until we were face to face to confront her and let her know that we would need our items not to be moved and that she would need to be able to place our items back where they originally were or that we would need to stop services, this wasn't something we were willing to work with. She said she understood and that she could do things the way we needed them done, and that she was happy to do so, just that it would take more time. Again, we reiterated that we are willing to pay her for her time, and that we wanted nothing else but to do so. At this time we told her we could just move forward with the commercial side or look into other services if she was uncomfortable. She opted to continue working with us. Leah continued to come for commercial cleaning and I have no complaints. The next house cleaning service came up and she confirmed our appointment. The same day (less than 24 hours prior to the appointment) she demanded payment in advance. I questioned this since this had not been how we had done services ever before, and ultimately noted that we weren't comfortable with this - I always pay same day, if not right after services. At this time Leah's messages changed from "i's" to "we's" which I definitely noted as I had gone with her services because it was just her, and not multiple people. Leah responded with "Prepayment is what we ask from all clients. We are unable to reclaim our time if we don't receive payment but a refund is easy to process if you change your mind before the visit. Thank you for being understanding on this matter as it helps us to know what work is expected before each cleaning visit." However she has never asked for prepayment prior, and never informed us of any "policy" changes until the day before this cleaning. Also noting that we had just previously discussed paying her via time and not a firm payment so that she could put her best foot forward. Potentially the worst way she could have introduced a new policy to a "not so new" client. I let her know we weren't comfortable paying for a service that hadn't been rendered yet. She apologized and told me she would see me tomorrow. The day of this cleaning, is the reason we are writing this review. She arrived, started cleaning the house, my husband and I, both home in the study. About two hours in, I sent a venmo payment for the house. At this time she demanded payment for the commercial part of the cleaning in advance. I repeated that we weren't comfortable with this as we mentioned yesterday, assuming she understood that, when showing up today. That's the last we heard from Leah. She just upped and left! We were home, and she never told us she left mid-job! We understand if it was taking longer than usual if she told us she had somewhere to be, for a reschedule, but this is NOT the case. I would not trust your home, or property with Leah. She is not reliable, and made very questionable choices throughout our entire relationship. If you value communication, we do not recommend Leah or Clear Clean LLC
