I have used Green Wagon Cleaning twice to do a "move out" cleaning on an apartment and a condo I was leasing. Both times a small crew showed up on time, communicating their status before arrival. Each time I was offered a chance to walk around the unit to identify specific cleaning needs, and a thorough walk-through post cleaning to inspect what was done. Each time I have had a full refund from the land-lord and told "The unit looks as if it was never lived in!" Very well priced, I will not go anywhere else for my cleaning needs. read more

Benni's team generally did a great job cleaning our house, and the one time it wasn't great, she responded quickly and was interested in finding a solution. Cleaning is not the problem. There were 3 scheduling issues over a few month period. This was terribly inconvenient as my partner works from home and needs to leave during the scheduled time. There are always apologies from Benni, and she tries to find a quick solution. So far, none of this is overly problematic, just inconvenient, but really no big deal. The problem came when I said that if she couldn't find a time early this week to come and clean, I was going to look for another cleaner. It wasn't emotional, just clear boundaries, since the scheduling snafus are a drag. When I sent an email asking if she had been able to find a cleaner for early this week, looking for a simple yes or no answer, I received a six paragraph email back about how my house was so hard to clean, there was never enough time, we cook too much, there is too much stuff on the counters, the cat box pellets and cow rug are a challenge, on and on about all the things problematic about cleaning my home. Then said she didn't want to clean my house anyway and said that another cleaner should have a "crack at it." It was very strange and VERY unprofessional. When I mentioned this to her, she wrote back telling me I was mean, she was "full up on mean" and later said, "But you maybe should reflect on whether house cleaning is the problem you're having." Putting her emotional outburst back on me like it's my problem! Benni made a request for scheduling into something very personal. I get that people have a bad day, but this was over the top. I'm writing to let you know this is a possibility if you work with Benni. We went from a normal cleaning relationship to this personal attack when I set a boundary around clear reliable scheduling for cleaning services. read more

Absolutely the best cleaning around. Solid ethics and commitment to providing all of your cleaning needs. Very thorough and professional.

I have a happy update to share. After my poor first experience, the owner contacted me and asked if I will give them another try. I thought it was great to have a company who actually cared what their potential customer thought so I agreed. The cleaners arrived, shook my hand and introduced themselves. They got right to work and cleaned thoroughly. My bathroom needed TLC and they made it sparkle, plus every surface was beyond clean. The kitchen area was mopped, swept and squeaky clean. They also cleaned anything and everything in sight. I am delighted to say, this company has redeemed themselves and I will use them again. read more

I can't express how incredibly happy I am with Green Wagon Cleaning. They were able to come to my rescue for a move out clean when my discount cleaners left me crying in my dirty empty apartment. The Green Wagon team was there early and ready to go at their appointment time, they did a fantastic detailed job, and finished up right on time. I'm so thrilled with the results and I'm sure my landlord will be to. Do yourself a favor and book Green Wagon Cleaning, I'm sure you will be glad you did. read more

We received a three-hour "deep cleaning" as our initial service, with two workers in our home while we were asked to be away. We complied with the request and left a good-faith tip for them in addition to the cleaning fee. Upon inspection, we found balls of dog hair left under furniture that were easily accessible with any vacuum hose, crumbs and grime under condiments left unmoved on the kitchen counter (a first for us from any cleaner), visible grime and dirt on the kitchen and bathroom floors and multiple areas left completely uncleaned. Our impression was that they ran a damp swiffer over some surfaces without actually cleaning, and assumed that if it was wet, it was good enough. Only two rooms were free of dust and dirt, but the bed looked disheveled. Easily the worst cleaning service we have ever used, and we've used several in our 20 years of home ownership. The owner asked for comprehensive feedback, which I provided, with pictures. Her response was, "I don't think we're a good fit." Basically, I paid $340 for a "deep clean," received nothing approaching any kind of "clean," documented it and gave feedback upon her request, and they fired us as clients. The message is clear: We only want customers who DON'T want their homes cleaned. Mind-blowing. I should say something nice, so I'll say that the house smelled like oranges when we came home, rather than chemicals, which was indeed nice. It's too bad our home wasn't also actually clean. We absolutely do not recommend Green Wagon. read more

I hired Benni to clean my apartment in downtown because she had so many positive reviews on Yelp but I found the experience very disappointing. Benni frequently canceled or reschedule appointments without any advance notice and, once I'd been a regular customer for a few months, the quality of the service degraded sharply. It got to the point where I'd come home on cleaning days to find my furniture at odd angles and my toilet seat up. The cleaner hadn't even bothered to set these things right after cleaning them. When I finally emailed Benni to complain about this issue she quit without any explanation. I would look harder if you're trying to find a good cleaner. read more

I am a closet slob, and am incredibly busy. I need help cleaning on occasion. Benni Sack Housekeeping Services did one of the best jobs of cleaning my house ever! They were professional, stuck to their quote, and their fee was reasonable. Everything was sparkling and I felt great being in my space again. I also trust them to respect my stuff--they have never broken anything (which I can't say about other cleaners). I have recommended them to other friends and would continue to do so. Excellent customer service + a great work ethic + a progressive business owner + a very clean place = love. read more

...and then they decided to stop working hard and not clean most of the house on a return visit. All's well that ends well: we stopped using them and were not billed or the last (un)cleaning. Cannot recommend and will not give a second chance. read more

Don't catch the owner on a bad day. I had Green Wagon clean my house 3x. They did a great job so this review is not about cleaning, it's about scheduling. I had a miscommunication with Benni about my cleaning date/time. The cleaners called me (at my house!) and I wasn't home. I didn't know I had an appt. Called Benni to discuss. I tried to figure out how the miscommunication happened. If it was my fault, I would have been happy to pay a fee, however she went immediately into defensive mode and didn't allow me to talk. She cancelled all further cleanings. No biggie for me, there are other cleaners in seattle with online scheduling systems. Bummer. The cleaners are great. read more

As an update, I came home from work early one day to find Benni & crew scouring the apartment with our huge (uncrated) dog lumbering playfully around them with tug-of-war toys in his mouth watching them move from room to room. Every now and then one of the crew would take one hand and play tug-of-war with the dog - who loves people and attention and love and people and attention and tug-of-war. Seriously, if that ain't good service for everyone who lives there - canine and feline too - I don't know what IS. read more

Benni's crews have been quite good to me - they did a great job with a thorough cleaning before I moved out of my last place. (The management company agreed; they didn't charge against my deposit for cleaning.) I asked her to get back in touch after I moved, and she was prompt and cheerful about it - her crews have been coming in weekly for me, and doing a great job with basic cleaning tasks like scrubbing and vacuuming. She definitely reschedules frequently - she's good about keeping in touch when the plan is changing, but that might be a bigger problem for someone less flexible about exactly when the cleaning happens. I had one major incident, where one of the cleaners she sent threw away a box of assorted stuff that was set aside to sort through, but wasn't actually trash - but Benni took care of it as soon as she heard, and I've had no problems since. The cleaners themselves are friendly and very competent - while I get different people from week to week, everyone working with Benni has been very nice, and I've had no problems having them in my home. read more

Outstanding service, careful and thorough cleaning. I work a lot and as such my place has suffered, to the point of finding strange native populations evolving in my place. Well after looking around I decided to try out Benni's services after reading the reviews here on Yelp. She came in, gave me an estimate and we made an appointment for her cleaners to come in and do their thing. They were very thorough and detailed and I am extremely pleased. Thanks to both Benni and to Yelp! read more

We have been working with Benni and her crew for over 10 years. Things that I appreciate: 1 Consistently great cleaning. 2 willingness to work with small spaces 3 zero drama about tight parking situations (Capitol Hill) 4 accept modern payment options (PayPal and Venmo) 5 bringing their own supplies and equipment. Small space living = storage challenged. 6 products used to clean smell good not harsh, no bleach, or ammonia smell when they leave. 7 love that this is a woman owned business (I should have put this at the top of the list! ;) 8 appointment times are clearly communicated and respected. In the 10 years I have been a client I can count on 1 hand the times they have had to cancel for any reason. Very professional. read more

Benni's housecleaning service is generally amazing and excellent. I paypal them some money, I come home, and my house is clean! I tend to be a very cluttered person and I have never had anything lost or moved to a place where I couldn't find it. In fact, it kind of helps me de-clutter because they move all the clutter into a central location. Benni also uses really excellent cleaning products - my house always smells clean and fresh with not a whiff of nasty chemical smelly cleaners in the air. Highly recommended. read more

I called Benni when I needed to have my house thoroughly cleaned before I put it on the market. She responded quickly, offered a reasonable rate and did a fantastic job! My home was immaculate afterwards -- and I noticed that she and her helper had taken extra care to put things back in their original spot. Benni also uses non-toxic cleaners, provides all her own equipment and is very professional. I felt totally comfortable leaving my key for her and am planning to get on a regular schedule with her service at my new home. Yay! read more

I emailed Benni for a move-out cleaning and was impressed with the efficient, professional service from the two gentlemen who came. The apartment looks great (much, much better than I could have done in two hours) and they even found a few things I'd missed at the top of my cabinets. I'm very pleased with the service and was also impressed with how quickly Benni responded to all my emails. The one small thing I'd change is that they needed a printout of the Yelp coupon I'd bought, which meant I had to run to Kinko's. If they'd told me that ahead of time it would have helped - I assumed I could just show it to them on my phone so I hadn't bothered to print it. These folks are pros and I'm so glad I used their service. If I decide to hire cleaners for my next place, it will definitely be Benni and her team! Thank you! read more

Hired them for the first time. Owner Benni came over for a consultation -- she was cool, laid back and fun. We went out of town and scheduled a first cleaning. When we got home, everything was SPOTLESS. They took care of every nook and cranny! With two cats and one dog, I can only imagine what they found :) We are fans! read more

I've used Green Wagon Cleaning twice for deep cleans. I only have positive things to say. Easy scheduling and great cleaners. The hunt for a reliable and affordable cleaner continues! From other reviews, it seems as if I am not the only one who has experienced the same issues with Green Wagon Cleaning. I have unsuccessfully used other cleaning services (Handy, contracted individual Handy cleaners, cleaning company found on Facebook, Neighborhood, etc.). I found GWC on Yelp based on the (mostly) good reviews and affordability and decided to give them a chance. Like many, I am a working professional who works regular business hours ~8AM-5PM, Monday-Friday. These also happen to be the same hours GWC is open. I also travel for work most of the time during the week adding an additional challenge. If you are someone that works during the week during normal business hours and feel more comfortable being home when the cleaner is present, I recommend looking elsewhere. We used GWC twice a month for the past couple of months and most of the time, the cleanings were great. Pros: - The owner will send a confirmation email several days before the cleaning. - All cleanings were acceptable except for one (was redeemed the next cleaning). However, here are the issues: - At the end of the cleanings, the cleaners are in a rush to take their money and run without asking "How does everything look? Is there anything else we can do?" - Usually early or late, not on time. - Our schedule was a cleaning every other Friday, but every cleaning the times would change and sometimes it would be a 1 hour cleaning with 2 cleaners or a 2 hour cleaning with 1 cleaner. Ok, fine. But should be more consistent since I am a recurring client. - This past cleaning, my appointment was "deleted" from the calendar even though I had received a confirmation email days before. I called/emailed/texted and didn't hear back until over an hour after the cleaning. I was up the creek without a paddle. Instead of trying to fix the situation, I was told to find another cleaner. - I received an "interesting" email the other week about holiday tipping guidelines. What happened to just being grateful for anything as nothing is expected? So tacky. - As a side note, the owner is also a broker. I imagine her priority is with her brokerage rather than with this cleaning business...and it shows. read more

I love Benni and her staff. Consistently reliable, punctual and impeccable cleaning. I especially like that they use non-toxic cleaning products. Benni's very accomodating, dependable and flexible. She's also very open to feedback. The first time I provided feedback to her, she was non-defensive and asked for more details. The next time around, the services were amended to fit my needs. I have been using Benni's services for the past 3 months for about 3 times a month or so. I don't intend to change based on what I've experienced so far. read more

We used GWC while our family was going through a big transition - I was experiencing health issues which kept me from cleaning and shortly after that, we welcomed a new member to our family! It was great that during this time I knew I didn't need to spend any time cleaning our house. If there was ever an issue, I texted the owner or left a note for the crew and it was remedied. We plan on using GWC in the future for deep cleans and with rental properties. Crew always arrived on time, and finished in the allotted time. GWC is a reliable service and run by a responsive owner. read more

I have started using GWC in November when the prospect of cleaning my house before a family visit seemed overwhelming. I scheduled a deep clean and the two women that came to my house were very friendly and got right to business. They asked what areas I would like them to focus on and my answer (always) was the bathrooms and kitchen. When I returned after the cleaning the tiles had been scrubbed clean, the shower doors were clear and everything looked spotless. I have continued to have monthly cleaning as the price is very reasonable, and every time I look forward to coming home to shiny bathrooms and a clean kitchen. Highly recommend. read more

The first two times Benni's crew came to clean my home it was pretty good. Not the best, but definitely worth the price. However, after a few months of regular weekly cleanings the service degraded horribly. It got to the point that I couldn't tell that they had even been there and the only signs that they were was the missing check that I had left them and a faint smell of cleaner. When I called Benni to ask her about these problems she basically said it wasn't her fault and that I should have told her sooner and that they wouldn't be back. Apparently she doesn't need my business and I really don't think she deserves yours. read more

I am a real estate agent in Seattle and have Green Wagon clean listings prior to coming on the market. Very thorough, trustworthy and reasonable. I recommend them highly! read more

You'll die laughing--Benni quit before she started. I tried to tell her of a recent poor experience that I didn't want to have happen again and she said she didn't want to start on a "suspicious" note ??? I have a PhD from Harvard and Benni falls into the nutcase category of psychotherapy. Go to Thumbtack Marci Works for the most wonderful, spotless, affordable, and kind experience ever. This crazy broad clearly doesn't need the work--well, she needs work, but not cleaning. (Recanting means taking back. I think you mean recounting. ESL/GED?) read more

When we purchased a house last summer, our realtor gifted us a move out deep clean from Green Wagon Cleaning, which was a total life saver for me amidst insane amounts of stress. They truly do take their love and put it into your home to get the dirt out and bring the clean in. I will be forever grateful for not having to do the deep clean of that house after having rented there for 7 years. Thank you so much, Benni and crew!! read more

We used Benni for about a year. Initially her cleaning team was fantastic. But then over time her rates began creeping up and the quality of service began creeping down. The team cleaning our house started changing fairly frequently and dates/times for our appointments would need to be moved around to accommodate her staffing changes. We'd come home and surfaces would be partially dusted, floors would maybe or maybe not be mopped, rooms would have been completely skipped. When she tried to raise the rate again and I complained about the level of service she quit - citing the reason that our requests were too complicated. I'd seriously recommend looking elsewhere for reliable cleaning services. read more

I wanted to like this business, but I never got the chance. After the first no-show (Benni said my email went to "archive" somehow, after a long exchange picking dates), I gave her a second chance. Again, another email chain and then no confirmation and no show on the appointment time. She didn't seem to remember that the appointment we set was for her herself to come get the key and a walk through. She did call and apologize. Still, not reliable or professional enough. read more

OK, first up, I'd give the actual cleaning service provided a very average 3 stars. Nothing terribly good or bad about it. The first time that Benni's crew came over they were 30 minutes early. I wasn't even dressed! If you're going to show up early somewhere (esp if you need access to the home), you should call ahead to give a warning. The second time they showed up, they were 30 minutes late. Only this time, it was on purpose. Benni _told_ them to show up later but hadn't bothered to tell me. In response she said "This was clearly my mistake but not our usual", but I learned from the crew that she'd done that to every client they had for the whole day. Clearly proper scheduling and good communication are not a priority for Benni. You need one or the other or it just isn't going to work. Edited to Add (after Benni's comment): You should have let this go... Offered me a deep discount?? Um... No. Call it a big red flag if you will, but there is nothing I hate more than liars (and this is the second lie I've caught Benni in). Here is Benni's ONLY email to me after I said that her inability to clearly communicate wouldn't work out. Show me where this "deep discount" exists in her (unedited) email: This was clearly my mistake but not our usual. I just got back from vacation and am playing catch up. This will not be an issue in the future but you will have to decide what you want to do going forward. I am really sorry about my communication error. How did the cleaning go? We can keep you at 10:30 going forward from now on. If that works for you and you are willing to give it another shot I have scheduled a recurring appointment at that time through the end of the year. You just let me know if that would work for you, if the cleaning was satisfactory, and if there's anything else I can do to make this service work for you. Sorry once again and thank you for using our service. read more

Excellent: they do a thorough job for reasonable prices, they are responsive to any feedback, and Benni is a great communicator.

I've never had anyone clean my house, but Libby showed up (early), and I was put at ease. We are getting ready to list our house for sale, and the great cleaning made it looked shiny and new. I was very pleased. It was well worth paying someone to come in and deep clean the place. read more

I've used Benni Sack twice now and will go back again and again. The crew is professional, the rates are great and the flexibility and attention to detail are awesome. Each time the crew has made decisions on their own on how to best utilize their time and asses the overall "messiness" of my house and pick and choose to maximize every last minute. (And they didn't mind my noisy and suspicious dogs who can be very off putting at first.) I highly recommend Benni Sack. read more

I would rather play video games than clean. Cleaning does not improve my mental health. I don't have a deep sense of personal satisfaction after having cleaned. So my house is.... Iffy. Not to the level of serious sketchdom. Generally there is no terrible smell. Mostly the kitchen floor is only a little sticky. But I want to sell the house! So iffy is not sufficient, what do I do?!? I hate cleaning and I am slightly incompetent at it. Money and yelp to the rescue. I contacted this service after reading reviews. No answer. I contacted her again and yay response! But at first she thought my house would only take 2 people for 2 hours. No way! Remember I hate cleaning? And this is to sell my house. I want it to look like a person who loves cleaning lives here. So she agreed to come look at my house ahead of time to have a better estimate on time. That was awesome and helpful. 4.5 hours of fabulous maid service is what my house needed. That was 400 dollars well spent. The dust bunny colonies have all been eviserated. read more

We moved to Seattle a couple of years ago and one of our priorities at that time was to find a cleaner who was more reliable, more communicative, and who did a more consistent job than our prior cleaner. We were lucky to find Benni Sack on our first try - we've been using them ever since. They are all of those things and more. We trust them with our house, our dogs (who are there when they clean), and continue to believe that we could not find a better value in Seattle house cleaners. Thank you! read more

Just called based on yelpers' reviews. As an FYI - she doesn't go over to the eastside. She was soooo pleasant though!

Benni quoted me a much lower price than any of the other services I called. She came and did a walk through of my house and then promptly scheduled a time to clean it in preparation for my moving out. She used all natural cleaning products, did a great thorough job, paying particular attention to the areas I had requested, and my landlord was *thrilled* with the end result. Benni's team has been cleaning my house for the last few years, and to put it simply, she's the best.
