The quality of communication within Natural Wonders Trees' departments, and from them to client, has unfortunately declined recently. I've hired them several times over the past few years. From 2022 through 2025, after a qualified arborist met with me to discuss tree trimming needs and to give me a quote, he'd stop by during and/or after the work was being done by the field crew, to assure both himself and me it was being done according to plan. Also from 2022 through 2025, the office would give me the name of the foreman who'd be coming to my home with the work crew, and the foreman would introduce himself to me on arrival so I'd know whom I could talk to if I had any concerns (especially since most of the work crew don't speak English), and the foreman would come and tell me when they were finished so we could look over the work together. When I had Natural Wonders trim several large trees in January 2026, 1) I never saw the arborist (Juan) after I'd accepted the quote, even though I emailed the office and asked if he could please stop by. 2) The arborist Juan had told me (on the day I met with him to get the quote) that Santos would be the foreman on the Tuesday they started work, but there was no one there who fit the description Juan had given me of Santos ('a big guy'). There was only one 'big' guy but I asked him his name and he wasn't Santos. So I don't know whether they changed foremen and didn't let me know, or if there was any foreman there at all. 3) When the work was extended into a second day, I received an email from the office saying that Juan (the arborist) and "#3" would be there the next day. Juan wasn't there, and the office let me know after the fact that 'Alex' had been the foreman; but I didn't have any idea which of the several workmen that day was Alex, as he hadn't made himself known. On neither day of the two days' work did any of the workers make himself known to me as foreman, nor act like he was in charge. The only communication I received from the workmen was a random one of the workmen telling me 'we finish tomorrow' at quitting time on Tuesday, and 'we finish' on Wednesday. Have they gotten too busy to be able to give individual attention to good repeat clients? When the work affects not only the beauty of my home but the safety of myself and my neighbors, and is costing me several thousand dollars per service, I would really appreciate the office providing clearer communication with me and more careful oversight of the job, like they used to. That would just be professional, respectful and considerate. read more

I found this company online and contacted them to defruit our olive tree. The woman who answered the phone seemed efficient and polite. A man named Andy came out in March and said I needed to call him when the tree began flowering , that that signaled when to apply the defruiting solution. I told him we were going on a vacation mid April to mid May . When we returned from our trip I saw flowers and called the company and let them know. Andy came back and said he did what needed to be done May 22, 2025 . Natural wonders emailed me a bill for $200 and I paid it May 23 with a credit card with the receptionist. Upon returning from another trip approximately July 17 , we noticed dozens of olives on the tree. First, I sent an email to "Roger" whose name is on their website explaining the above. NO response. A couple of days later I called and the receptionist said someone would come out the following week on July 31 between 10 and 11am. No one called or appeared. I called the office . Receptionist said the "appointment had been set for the previous day , and that she had left me a voicemail with information from that visit " . I told her I had received no such message and that I had been home sick for the past week and that no one had come the previous day or any other day as we have a small home with front facing windows where we can see all who come by. To move on, I asked her what the situation is now with the olives. She said the treatment didn't work, then said they could trim off the olives , then said that wasn't an option as the tree was "infested" . I said what does that mean ? Why wouldn't someone contact me by phone , or email informing me of this supposed new problem ?? She said to hold on and she would speak to the tech , then said Andy is no longer with the company. Then she comes back and says she has no answer and would I like to speak to the "Manager" , I said definitely! Then she says he is on a call , that I can't hold for him , that maybe he will return my call but she doesn't know that he will! She offers me a refund if I come into the office. I tell her civilly she can mail it and that I found their company to be lacking in job performance, follow up, and customer service. That I will be writing a yelp review and contacting the better business bureau. I called back to ask her name , but the call went to a voicemail , so now they won't answer my calls Avoid this company at all costs! read more

UN. REAL! We have been dealing with this beast of a tree for eight years. Its 200 pound branches would occasionally fall off and land in our yard where my small children play. All I can say is we're very lucky to have not been crushed by them. Fortunately, the owner of the house agreed that the tree needed to be removedso I called Natural Wonders because another neighbor used them a couple of years ago to remove some pretty tall trees, and I noted how efficient, clean and professional they were. I called them up, and Juan, the Arborist, came out immediately to assess the situation and gave a very reasonable estimate. Yamill painted a great picture for his tree trimming service. Ater a couple of days of calling for a time to do the work and no return calls. It turns out that the person who answers the phone tells me they don't trim trees in the morning -- morning time when the wind doesn't blow. On the last call receptionist said they usually only trim in the afternoon but would check and get back. I am very pleased Natural Wonders Trees to remove 6 trees, burnt during the Woolsey Fire on November 8, 2018. They came over with a crew of 4 experienced workers. Guillermo Miralda and David O'Neil were very professional and pleasant to work with. They removed the trees and ground the stumps down between 12 - 18 inches below the dirt. We just had a 25-30 foot palm tree removed from our front yard and we could not be happier. The guys showed up on time, set up, and in 2.5 hrs, the palm was gone and the stump ground below the yard level. I got 6 bids, threw out the highest and lowest, and 1 I wasn't comfortable with the bidder. That left me with 3, one was Natural Wonders Trees. Their bid was the second lowest of all. The only one to follow up was NWT, a few days later, no pressure, just a polite call. Three weeks later, I was still determining which one to use, I received a call from NWT, and scheduled the work. Maybe they drove by to see if I had the trees done, thats following up too!! The crew arrived at just after 7:30 AM, and politely waited until 8 to start work. LA City does not allow work to be done before then. Guillermo (estimator) shows up at 8 to confirm the work to be done. When all was done, I had 6 major trees trimmed, and 7 Italian Cypress trees pruned. The work was better than I anticipated, (after seeing my neighbors trees hat tracked by probably his gardner). My neighbor is so pissed I got a real trimmer!! All my property had been completely cleaned, including the roof of all remnants!! The company came out to treat a pear tree for fire blight fungus. However they did not properly treat the tree (they did not cut off all the affect branches) and the tree is as bad as it was before the treated it (for the cost of $535). What a waste of money! I contacted the company on their website but....surprise....no response. Now I will have to have the tree re-treated by another company.
