Alex came out and gave me a quote to remove 3 Italian cypress trees. The crew arrived on time (early, in fact) and made short work of the trees in much less time than expected. Considering the mess created from dragging the trimmings across the backyard and into the driveway for chipping, I was expecting a big mess to clean up, especially given my experience with ythe way most contractors "clean up" when they're done. I was shocked at the cleaning job they did- they left it cleaner than when they'd arrived! We have a lot of other mature trees that will need work in the future and I know exactly who I will call when the time comes, read more

Just called to ask him a Tree Service question and the lady was very quick rude and hung up on me. Not good business.

I have utilized Conejo Valley Tree Service for 15 years. He is the best I have ever hired. Alex knows the type of tree, it's growth habits, natural shape and best time of year to address its pruning needs. He does not over prune and leaves the tree well shaped. Clean up is impeccable, prices fair and reasonable. He lets you know when pruning would be needed again. He has even told me it's not time to prune my trees and to wait another year. I appreciate that honesty. I've found him to be reliable, dependable and highly skilled. I also have two close neighbors who use his services regularly. Paula K. read more

Ventura and LA country people. We just had this service do an incredible job trimming one tree and removing another. They were willing to come out in the middle of the global pandemic to help us out. The owner of the company was here the whole time working along side his two employees. He is very communicative, eager to please, knowledgeable and pleasant. Their work was conscientious, throughout and their prices are super fair!!! We had several bids. His, by far, was the best! They also did a perfect job cleaning up. We couldn't be happier. Thank you Alex! read more

I called the company based on several local recommendations. Alex drove out within the hour to give me an estimate to thin out a large California Pepper tree, and a Brazilian Coral tree. As he walked the property he threw out a couple of numbers for the Coral tree which varied by$25. The Pepper tree seemed a little more substantial at $275. When he added the numbers in his head for the total estimate his math was off by a $100...higher of course. We laughed it off and tentatively talked about doing the job on Monday, or some time next week, he was gonna call me. Monday came, and I'm hearing chain saws. Alex never called to confirm. The most important thing was the job though. Alex and crew did a good job trimming both trees, and with the clean up. They were done in couple of hours. He came across as honest, when I asked him about thinning some bushy olive trees, he said they didn't need it. read more

My next door neighbor had two HUGE, overgrown trees that had never been trimmed. I was looking forward to these trees finally being trimmed, since they caused so much mess and damage when they shed leaves every fall. Alex, a very pleasant man, did a fantastic job trimming both trees. He had his crew come to my yard after he finished and cleaned up all debris and blew/hosed off my patio. The trees now look beautiful, and once again, I can finally see the sky from my side patio I will be recommending Alex from Conejo Valley Tree Service to my Homeowners Association. read more

We had a large shade tree removed from our backyard in Oak Park. Our experience with this company was great. When we contacted them, they were super fast / responsive and gave us recommendations about the tree via photos we sent over text message. They gave a reasonable price for removal and came right away with a crew and removed it amazingly quickly, and cleaned up well afterwards. Unfortunately they could not remove the stump because of a construction project at our house preventing them from getting the stump remover equipment into the backyard. They said to reach out again when the project was over, and they would come back. Six months later, I texted saying that we were ready for stump removal. I got a response almost immediately. Better yet, they honored the original price for tree+stump, even though they ended up having to make an extra trip to our house. They came right away and removed the stump, and again cleaned up after themselves. All in all... they were super professional and responsive, and I was very happy. I would definitely recommend. read more

Alex and his team were incredible. The completed the job in a timely fashion and the pricing was quite reasonable. After they were done, they cleaned up the entire yard and left it spotless. WOW. Just WOW. These guys came out first thing in the morning on New Year's Day to rescue a poor little cat that both the Fire Dept. and Animal Control said was "too far up" and "too high risk". 70 feet up a skinny tree in our apartment complex, with Santa Ana winds howling, Alex flew up the tree and in one swoop captured and saved this little guy. I can't begin to explain how kind, professional and good hearted the team was. This small-family business in the Conejo Valley is the kind of business you want to support - skilled experts who can effortlessly and safely trim a tree, or in our case bring down a kitty. 10/10 Recommend all the way! read more
