Easy to install. Flexible plan. You can have access to many luxury buildings in the city as well. It means even when you visit your friends' apartment, you don't need to ask for Wifi password. Dollar for dollar the best deal you can get for an internet-only provider. Period. A conversation with a friend who is not lucky enough to have NW in his building prompted me to write this review - he was paying 2.5x times for the same internet-only service!! I was initially worried to sign up because 1) they limit the number of devices you can connect and 2) there are a lot of reviews about connection problems. Addressing #1 - a call to their customer service department and they gave me an in-apartment repeater AT NO EXTRA COST - it did take two visits to set up but (get this) they actually had WEEKENDs service available on short notice, so was no trouble at all. Addressing #2 - i have had service ~2 years and RARELY have trouble with connections - and i play on-line games so dropping a connection can be really annoying. It was also worth it paying a little more to get their faster service - might also be helping with connection issues others seem to have trouble with. Also nice because i can get wifi on the roof and in the gym - added benefit i did not realize when signing up. if you have the option to get NW and you don't want to pay through the nose with the devil (AKA time warner) - this is the best alternative (vs stealing your local starbucks wifi i guess). read more

Excellent internet service provider. I have used NW since 2015 when I moved into my building. Super easy to subscribe - like logging onto wi-fi at a hotel. No hardware installation required unless you want/need an access point. The customer service is super friendly and fast. Minimal interruptions through my 6-year period with them. Great pricing. To put it simply, the quality of the internet connection is terrible. It will simply drop connection for a random brief periods throughout the day, and it's not because of the wireless. Your connection to the wireless network will still be going strong, but you simply will not have internet access during those periods, which is terrible if you are doing any real internet work. If you're wondering why some people give it good reviews, the answer is simple: they don't use the internet in any way that requires a persistent connection. If you just browse the web and read webpages, then its fine. However, natural wireless will screw you on a regular basis If you: use the internet to log in to a service or to work, play online games, use certain streaming services, etc. It'll just randomly drop connection for 5-10 seconds, and then you'll lose whatever you were currently in the middle of. read more

Overall my experience with the Natural Wireless was great. The customer support was always very responsive and fast, I remember when I just bought a new device (Apple TV 4K box) I had no clue how to connect it to the internet, so I just called the Natural Wireless and the specialist kindly walked me though the installation process. I was going to be out of NYC ,away from my home and the service Rep Rosanna did everything possible to accommodate me and my needs in suspending my service. Rosanna being the Representative that walked me throught the entire process. I returned earlier than anticipated and Rosanna made sure again that I was completely taken care of....waving the FEE for the more than 14 days of service before charging me for my monthly service, so I could have Internet. Good afternoon all. My first review on Yelp. I have to share as I had so many issues in the past with my previous cable providers, their customer service and the high hidden fees. Very happy with my experience with Natural Wireless so far (almost three years now). I can say that these guys at Natural Wireless provided me with excellent customer support (they installed for me a repeater for free in my apartment within a day as the NYC wiFi coverage can be difficult sometime with interferences) when I had questions and a very reliable and fast internet service. I have been using ISP speed test checker (yes, I am a geek) to test the download and upload speed. Speed is always the one I have contracted (12Mbps is the service plan I selected from Natural Wireless. I believe they offer much higher speed if needed. Mine is enough for my needs). As a cord cutter, I also found that the monthly cost for accessing the internet was very reasonable without cap on the max amount of data I can use. WiFi is now the only thing i need to make/receive phone calls, to surf the internet and to watch TV (I switched from TWC to Playstation Vue no contract monthly service - awesome - all of this running through Natural Wireless WiFi service) . When we moved to NYC, our building was proposing Natural Wireless as one of the options to subscribe to for WiFi service. Initially, I selected the service as I thought it was nice to be able to access it wherever I am in the building (Gym, roof top, Lounge, Apart, ...). Very happy with this service. We recently cancelled our outrageously expensive TW basic cable and internet package and decided to try natural wireless upon a friend's recommendation. If you are lucky to live in a building pre-wired with natural wireless then no further installation is necessary to begin service. We did encounter some problems gaining access to our roku tvs and some issues viewing content initially. customer service was extremely helpful and responded immediately offering an appointment time to visit to install a router the next business day. Our technician OC arrived promptly (he was actually 15 minutes early) and quickly worked to resolve our problems, program all our devices, and testing our signals. He was polite, knowledgeable and explained everything to me (not a techie at all) in very clear terms. Since then the service is working flawlessly while saving us a bunch of money. read more

If you have the choice of Natural Wireless in your building I would go for it. The equipment necessary in your apartment is non existent unless you need a router for your special needs. You can have unlimited devices working & since the building has wi-for for the network, you can be connected all the time in the building. Customer service is very helpful over the phone & if necessary you can get assistance in your apartment within a day or so if their equipment needs adjustments within your building. No contracts - just three months billed at a time. read more

Great customer service, but if you are a professional who needs the wireless connection to the Internet, I would steer far away from these guys. I opted for the most expensive package and as we speak I get shoddy service at best - no where near where they said they would be. The customer service agents are so helpful and nice, but it can take up to 20 minutes to get them on the phone. UPDATE: I am still a customer after 4 years now. Of course I only remember the times the Internet goes down, like this morning, which is not fair. How many times in the last 4 years has it gone down? I would say around 8 times - but only one of these for an extended period, like 12 hours and I had to go somewhere else to work. I have no comparison as a consumer except the consistent Internet service in companies. UPDATE: I gave it a good college try by staying with NW. At times the Internet completely cut out and at other times it got terribly slow. First level support is about 20 years behind modern telephone support (type in your number and get connected to an agent who asks for your account information all over again). They as nice as could be, but never have an idea what might be wrong except to send out a tech three days later. Researched and found consistent download speeds of up to 10x faster at the same price. read more

I moved to Jackson Park in LIC in December. I initially had some issues connecting to NW, but after a call, they pretty much sent help immediately and now the internet works great! I only use their basic tier service, but it has super fast download & upload speed, no problems with streaming or gaming in HD, and no issues with connectivity. The idea of no-hassle wifi was pretty attractive, so I decided to sign up for this service, even after having read the bad reviews. I was thinking that I can always change my mind later since they have "monthly payments" and you can "cancel anytime". The service is unacceptable. You can pay a bit more to go with some more serious ISP, and at least reasonably expect that you will have wifi. I don't remember a single day when the internet was not slow (we are talking slower than dialup - even gmail refuses to load), or a day when there was no outage of less than fifteen minutes.Of course, there were a couple times where the internet did not work at all for one whole day. So you have two choices: Pay $30 and have no wifi or pay $45 and have it. I just switched to the second. Their advertisements are pretty misleading. They charge you on a quarterly basis, and they will not refund you if you want to cancel the service or move out early. If you try to cancel early, they will offer to send a technician to your apartment (?!?!) which is just nuts, since there is no router in anyone's apartment, this is just a cheap excuse for people who do not happen to know how their system works. And of course the technician will tell you that everything is fine, and the problem is with your computer. Also, canceling is a pain, they will keep emailing and calling you, make you wait in line to speak with someone, until (they hope) you will give up. Not a good way to run a business. The only marginally good thing is that the sales people respond to emails promptly, in less than 24 hours, but that is only if you are not requesting a cancellation. To sum up, if you really want "no-hassle" internet just run away from them. read more

Our internet had stopped working. Natural Wireless initially walked us through a few basic remedies on the phone. Since none worked, their tech support staff tried to fix the issue remotely, but could not. We were leaving on a 2 week trip only 2 days later, I asked if something could be done to help us out. Natural Wireless sent technicians the very next day, and it was a SUNDAY!! Amazing! The technicians came on time and upgraded the equipment in the hallway outside our apartment. They then checked our router in the apartment and found it was not working correctly. They installed a new router and made sure it was working perfectly be fore they left. The technician was courteous and professional. The response from Natural Wireless was effective and incredibly fast. I'm on a 10 mb plan, and on days like today, I can't event play a video on CNN without pausing it to load for 2 mins. The internet feels better on a 3g iPhone. I'm not sure if they're throttling back, or if they're just failing to meet their end of the user agreement, but it's bad. read more

I use this service as a resident in a "luxury" Manhanttan high-rise apartment building. My review is only for this class of service. This is hands down the best Internet service I've ever had, for 3 reasons: - Zero hassle! There is no equipment setup, you pay online and get going right away the way you do in a hotel. Recurring monthly billing is automatic. - Very fast, provides exactly the advertised bandwidth, confirmed with speedtest.net. The same is true of upstream bandwidth. - Quite cheap. The 5Mbps tier (for my building) is only $28/mo. If your building offers this, it's a no-brainer, take it. read more

Two stars because the people on the phone & techs seem pretty nice. Other than that, fail. I signed up on a Friday, and on Monday, my WiFi wasn't working.. I finally got around to calling their tech support on Tuesday evening. I was on hold for at least 20 minutes.. in the meantime I did what I expected they would ask me to do - I hit the reset button on the repeater... when the guy finally got on the phone, he told me I had wiped allll of the configuration settings, there was nothing he could do on the phone and a tech would have to come out to fix it. Tech was supposed to come today (Thursday), I signed a form to give him permission to enter to my apartment but because his wallet was recently stolen, he didn't have any ID and the doorman wouldn't let him into my apt. (5 stars for the doorman, btw). Next appointment is set for tomorrow.. If the quality of the connection is as bad as the reviews say, I am cancelling.. nothing on their website about their cancellationpolicy, but I will take it up with amex if they give me a hard time. read more

Some may say that this is the most affordable option that is currently available; but I think that it is not worth the money for the quality from this ISP. The service is greatly unreliable as it disconnects often, speed fluctuates (the only time that it reaches the promised speed is during midnight and early morning). Natural wireless was great in the beginning, but after 3 months of usage, the connections started by poor and now every 3 days one of our devices are blocked. I haven't changed provider because Verizon need to install an extra router in the building first. Verizon is more expensive, I may just accept the extra cost to get a reliable connection. Natural Wireless has been a major convenience for me ever since I moved into Manhattan from New Jersey. Since the Natural Wireless system is already installed in my building, it only took me a couple of minutes to sign up as a Natural Wireless customer and get access to their internet. Additionally, the customer support has been very nice to me ever since I signed up for the service. Best part is that they don't use automated messages or "robots" to answer all of their incoming calls and transferring calls takes seconds. They have REAL PEOPLE responding to calls and they usually solve it quickly. Chris (I think that's his name) has been very respectable and has not failed me yet when it comes to good customer service. My previous internet provider was quite the opposite. I remember I had Verizon in my previous home in New Jersey and I swear it took at least two full weeks for the technicians and whatnot to come to my house and install whatever is necessary to get the internet operating. In today's world, two full weeks without complete access to the internet can feel like an eternity. Verizon's customer support DOES NOT compare at all to Natural Wireless. Now you can find me on the rooftop playing with my tablet. I love the fact that the connection for Natural Wireless is available throughout all parts of the building. I can honestly just roam wherever and still be able to browse on my mobile devices. I have NEVER experienced this much freedom before with my internet and the price is extremely affordable at $28~ a month. read more

I had a short-term rental in Manhattan and these guys were a convenient, cheap alternative to the horrors of dealing with TWC - no activation fees or appointments needed. They charged me what they said they would, and I had no problems with streaming video or uploading/downloading large files. I had the 25mb plan, and would get it again if the need arose. read more
