Authentic Brooklyn hidden gem! Brooklyn Banya is a real…read moretraditional bathhouse experience -- hot saunas, steam rooms, jacuzzi, and a refreshing cold plunge all under one roof. Clean, cozy, and relaxing atmosphere with friendly staff. Perfect place to recharge, detox, and meet great people. Highly recommend for anyone who loves authentic wellness and sauna culture! Great for wellness days, VIP gatherings, or private events with friends. Every visit leaves you refreshed, energized, and inspired.

I am very, very irked by Brooklyn Banya. We traveled approximately two hours to get to BK Banya…read morebecause it's one of the few places that allow those under 18 into the baths. We called ahead and spoke with a gentleman who assured us (1) they were open on Yom Kippur; and (2) they were happy to accommodate my children and friends of mixed genders. When we arrived, the extremely unpleasant older woman at the front desk told us that Thursdays were for men only and turned us away very, very rudely -- despite the fact that the website says that men's only hours begin at 6 p.m.!! We were there around noon.) From the website (https://www.brooklynbanya.com/m): Men only hours: Tuesday 11am-11pm $60pp Thursday 6pm- 1am $60pp From what we could see and smell from the lobby, the place was dark, threadbare, and dingy, with a funky odor of mold mixed with perspiration and other unpleasant, unidentifiable things on top. So perhaps it was a cloud with a silver lining to be turned away. TLDR: - Awful communication. Info posted online is not honored or accurate. Info given verbally is not honored or accurate. - The space -- what we saw of it -- seemed dingy and dirty. - Staff are uninformed and extremely rude.

The spa is nice too but the rooftop is what makes this place, not sure I would come on a bad weather day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I honestly love Brooklyn Bathhouse, and it is with love that I say there's room for improvement…read morelol. On my first few visits, they provided 2 towels and a robe; then they switched to no robe but 3 towels; and then only 2 towels and no robe! I've seen people rally and ask for a robe and/or more towels, but imo people shouldn't have to ask: a robe and at least 2 towels should be the default. There's also a cafe upstairs, but it is often closed without notice. When it is open, the service is usually very slow, and sometimes they get the order wrong. They also sometimes invent new ways to be a cafe (there was a short-lived experiment where they had people place orders downstairs, and then wander upstairs whenever they suspected their order may be ready), but it doesn't need to be complicated--just have a person at the cafe to take orders and then fulfill those orders. With that said, the amenities (saunas, pools, etc.) are great and incredibly restorative, as are the services (scrubs, massages, etc.), and employees and customers alike have always been nice. I'm very glad Brooklyn Bathhouse is in the neighborhood; my only other recommendation would be getting rid of the two hour notice requirement to book a day pass, because then I would pop by even more!

My husband made reservations for us--which he thought was a couples massage (1 prenatal and 1…read morewellness massage) via the website. They call the day before to confirm your appts which I thought was very nice. When we first got there for our original appt it seemed as though it was separate rooms at different time slots. There was def miscommunication between the bookings, confirming appts, and the website. Basically if you're booking a couples massage don't use the site. It's more for single bookings in my opinion. However Bianca, was so nice--she was able to accommodate us for another date (which we were fine with) at no charge. She calmed me down a lot being that I'm 9 months pregnant. Super sweet and just went beyond. So upon arriving for our actual appts--Bianca greeted us right away. Took our coats and we were led upstairs within 5 mins. They offered tea or water. They provided us robes/slippers and our own little cubby with a lock and key. We waited maybe 5 more mins after we got dressed --then we got taken upstairs. Very calming inside for sure. Andrew was superb! The best. Abs book with him. He was great. For a prenatal massage I felt amazing afterwards. He informed me that there will be times he's going to ask about guidance specifically the hips since that's where I'm bothered the most being that pregnant people can really only sleep on their sides. Just an amazing massage! Get the lavender scent--it's soooo good. My husband had Holly and she was super nice. He said he loved his first massage ever. She was great. She asked him any pain/problem areas. Glad to say my husband is into spas now lol. The massages and staff definitely made up for the miscommunication that happened in the beginning and happy that we didn't end up cancelling it. Def worth it. Price was under $300. Plus Bianca gifted me a complimentary body scrub which was so nice of her. She's really great. Holly, Andrew and Bianca were amazing! One star off for the website (maybe it needs to be more specific about certain services-- at least for users who's never been to a spa). Def worth a visit. I'll be coming back post natal for another massage.

An Unforgettable, Heart-Lifting Experience at The Green Spa…read more Today's visit to The Green Spa was exactly what my heart and spirit needed. From the moment I stepped inside, Bianca at the front desk embraced me with such kindness and genuine warmth that I instantly felt safe, welcomed, and cared for. She went above and beyond in a way that truly touched me -- she is a rare gem in customer care, someone who makes you feel seen and valued the second you walk in. My facial with Lydia was nothing short of magical. Her touch was calming, her presence comforting, and the entire experience felt like an exhale I didn't realize I was holding in. I left not only with glowing skin, but with a sense of peace and renewal I haven't felt in a long time. Thank you, Bianca and Lydia, for your compassion, your talent, and your beautiful energy. This visit meant more to me than just a treatment -- it was healing. I am so grateful and can't wait to return. Dorinda

When looking for post-op after care you want it to feel like home, and this is exactly what Magic Post op was for me! Did I also mention their healing herbal tea is amazing? The recommendations for the supplies I would need such as rajas, foams and boards were spot on. They also referred me to alteration specialists to adjust my faja as my size changed during the recovery. The attention to detail, the quality of the oils and just the overall atmosphere was such a healing experience. I also figured since they're owned by the same people it would be a similar experience. I could not have been more wrong. I should've gone with my first mind and gone to my usual spot. I came in @ 4:45pm for a soak off & Gel-X full set with regular gel polish and a chrome overlay, no fancy designs !!! at most i should've finished at 6:30... I didn't leave until 7:40. I kid you not I spent my entire evening in the damn nail salon. I've been getting Gel-X sets for years it has NEVER taken 3 HOURS!!!!! I was clearly stuck with the new girl or just the girl who doesn't know what she's doing because it legit took her 50 minutes just to adhere the gel press ons to my nails!! and she had to start over on 3 of them because they looked so crazy. And to make matters worse - she took her sweet time and my nails still look insane!! They charged me $130 for shitty nails and even worse service. Did I mention there were bugs and ants crawling around everywhere too? If you're in the area and thinking of try Element - save yourself the time and the money and DONT!
