So I work out of town and I choose this place as my FFL dealer I bought a gun from palmetto state armory in the state of Texas as long as ur from Texas u can buy a gun any where In Texas the guy in the front desk told me he could not sell me the gun because my home address did not have a Royce city address. Said new federal law . Even tho my drivers license is from the state of TX would not recommend maybe they thought I was a criminal because of the way I look. Stopped in here today to get 2 compound bows draw length adjusted and a peep sight installed. Only 1 guy behind the counter working. He promptly told me that he only had time to work on bows that were purchased there. He said I could try some place in Canton. In this day in age when small retailers are competing against online big box, they should be able to provide the local service that online lacks. Or jyst wander out in the warehouse to look for yourself! Owner Mark has helped my son snd I several times over the years. Yesterday; I bought a crossbow from him, and I sm very glad I got it here. By far one of the top outdoor stores around from hunting, fishing, shooting, and archery they have it. If they don't they will get it for you. One of the things that sold me on Native is I am a avid shooter and while the rest of the country was in a ammo craze and price gouging was rampant Native stayed true to their customers. Prices went up a bit but that was coming from their suppliers. I've bought many guns from them and tons of ammo and have always been well taken care of. I've also had the opportunity to watch them with other customers and their service is second to none. Native Outdoors is great for several reasons. They carry a lot of stuff in stock and in their huge warehouse or you can order your stuff online. The best thing about Native Outdoors is Mark. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. He will spend as much time as he needs to with you to make sure you are satisfied. My daughter was having problems with her bow string and sights that I could not fix. I took the bow to Mark and he worked with us to figure it out , he ordered a new string, lined up the sight and he fixed the problem. Mark was so thorough and patient with us. It didn't even cost very much to get the string yet he still spent the time with us. Great place and service. Something you don't see that much anymore! read more

This place is great. They have a small collection of good guns, friendly staff and ohh boy do they have a a lot of hunting and fishing stuff. The room you walk in to enter the store is just the tip of the iceberg. After your done in there check out all the cool stuff they have in the back. This is much more convenient than going to bass pro. The only downside I saw was that some stuff might be a little overpriced. But you can also find deals if you look for them. read more

Love the website but if you are local you should stop by the store. My son and I both bought bows last year (Hoyt and Bear) and got a great deal. My son is growing like a weed so I stopped in this year and they made a quick draw length adjustment and we were ready to go back in the woods. Went in to check this place out. Although they have a decent selection and ok prices, i was put off with the fact the sales guys were bad mouthing a competitive shop extensively which i happen to know and shop at as well. Ironically those guys are stand up and always say good stuff about your shop, So they still win in my books. Sheesh!! Come on guys! that is just in bad taste and BAD business practice. The only people seen in a bad light here is yourself for talking &$%# about your competition. Will not be shopping here or sending anyone this way. Buyer beware, I unfortunately made a hasty purchase online yesterday for a firearm that was not legal in my state. I was given the terms and conditions of firearm's purchasing but did not take the time to review and understand them. This mistake cost me $37 because of their 10% cancellation fee. This is supposed to cover the cost of paperwork that was completed from yesterday afternoon to this morning when I was notified. If you are not allowed to ship to my state what paperwork would have been completed? I would think in this day and age as soon as you put your ship to zip code you would be notified immediately that the transaction could not be completed based on the state associated with the zip code. When I reached out to request a courtesy refund of this stated fee I was informed that this is the policy and no consideration was given to my request. My ignorance initiated the fee but a customer friendly business would re-think this policy. read more

I had a bad experience this a.m. at Native Outdoors in Royse City.. I had purchased 2 Boss Buck timers one year ago . One works and the other does not work properly. I understood the timers had a 2 year warranty. The manager was rude and informed me that the warranty was with Boss Buck and he did not warranty the timer. I was not told this when I purchased the timers. I said I had planned on buying a game camera , but since he was not going to warranty the timer , I was not going to purchase anything. The manager then told me to "get Out of the store. You can be sure all my hunting and fishing friends will be told of this experience. read more

Came in into the store today to look for a new release and brought with me 12 arrows that were a gift from my wife, I asked o'l slim if he could cut them for me. He said "sure, for three bucks a piece" he continued to say that "we sell these arrows here and if you didn't buy them from us than its $3 each, its just one of those things". $36 Is crazy just to cut 12 arrows. I was happy to find this store so close to the house, and had what in needed, something as simple as taking two minutes out of our day could have made you another customer. I had the intent to pay for this service, a reasonable amount. But to get an attitude from the owner because I did not buy them from him... I came into get arrows cut and look at new release. I left with none of the above nor will I ever purchase anything from this store. You are not owed a customer base you earn one, i agree with a previous review, if this is how you treat all your customers you should lock the door and stick with Internet sales. You might be better off not talking to them face to face. I went to bass pro, they cut the arrows free of charge and I went home with a new $100 release. read more
