Update since last review 4 months ago. Almost immediately after posting my review, I received a…read morecall from Carl. He apologized for the poor communication and said that he would make me 2 sets of keys. He lost the set I left with him, so I gave him the key codes for the 3 keys that he lost and waited. While waiting for the keys, I went camping from April 10-13. During this time, I noticed that several electrical outlets were not working. Upon investigation, I found wires cut that were not reconnected, rendering 5 outlets out of commission. I called Carl and we set up a date for him to pick up the trailer to fix the problem. I asked him to put a junction box under the sink where the electrical repairs would be made as that would be a cleaner, more reliable repair. He kept the trailer for a week, as agreed upon, and delivered it to my storage space on May 4. He brought a single key to the trailer door with him, and said he forgot to grab the other keys (storage bin locks and hitch lock). Again, he apologized and said he would mail them to me. I texted a week later and asked if they were mailed and received no response. I texted again on May 26, and he responded and said they were mailed on May 22. It's June 4 and I still don't have the keys that I have been trying to get since last October. In addition, I just got back from camping again and, although the circuit now works, he did not install the junction box as I requested. He even said that he did when he dropped it off. Finally, and I say finally because I am done trying to resolve any other issues with this company, my air conditioning hasn't worked right since I got the trailer back. They didn't work on the A/C, but they did reseal the roof. It may just be coincidence, but based upon my experience with this company, I wonder if they did something to make it work less efficiently than before. I guarantee that there are better options in the area to get your work done, but if you choose to go with Spencer Janes, be prepared for poor communication, subpar work and lies.

Everything I was concerned with was fixed better than I thought was possible and my TT looks almost brand new (she's old, really old so this is amazing). If you need your TT serviced, call and get on the schedule. Honestly, working with him is better customer care AND response time-wise than most dealerships trying to sell a brand new one.

We brought our commercial dump truck in for a clutch replacement after being told over the phone it would be approximately a **10-hour job** and they could start the next day. Once the truck was there, communication was terrible. We repeatedly had to call for updates, they initially sent the quote to the wrong email, and suddenly the 10-hour job was being quoted at **18 hours**. When we questioned it, we were told they were adding extra time to "cover themselves" because it was a dump truck. As the truck sat there for days, we were contacted about additional parts they said were bad, including the cross shafts and flywheel. We approved the repairs but specifically told Chelsea that we wanted to see the old parts when we picked up the truck. She agreed. Kevin the shop foreman told me the clutch job was finished but then actually questioned **why we had the clutch replaced because he looked at it and didn't think anything was wrong with it.** That was extremely concerning considering this was the entire reason the truck was brought there. It makes you wonder how he got a job there! We arranged to pick the truck up at 8:30 the next morning because we live 1 1/2 hours away. We arrived at 8:35 and still waited approximately **45 minutes because they didn't even have our bill ready.** We were then charged an additional **4% credit card fee** because they would not accept our business check. When I asked to see the flywheel they replaced--as we had specifically agreed upon--I was told they had **already turned it in as a core**, so we never got to inspect the part we were told was bad. This is called our shop is not busy enough so we will make things up and nickel and dime anyone that comes our way. And after all of that, we got the truck back and discovered there was ZERO free play in the clutch. It wasn't even adjusted properly. This is a working dump truck that provides our livelihood, and having it down costs us money every day. The lack of communication, changing labor expectations, failure to keep the parts as promised, and returning the truck without the clutch properly adjusted made this an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience. Don't say you weren't warned about this place!! Based on our experience, I would not trust Specialized Truck Repair with another one of our trucks and cannot recommend them to other owner-operators or businesses.

They are just north of Nashville TN, which is about a three day drive from our home state. The owner, John, and his son, Cullin, made us feel welcome and did not pressure us to hurry with our many questions. They fed us lunch as well--several different days, since we were there three times before we bought our bus. They were helpful and up-front about every bus we were interested in, including supplying an inspection sheet of needed work and test driving several. They did try to make sure we understood what we were getting into if we purchased an older used bus because they do need ongoing upkeep. My husband has been a semi truck owner/operator in the past so that is helpful. We purchased our 1989 Prevost Marathon XL coach in late April 2016 and had them do some needed work for us before we let the lot. Their mechanics spent time with my husband making sure he understood what work they were doing and allowed him to see everything being done. They went out of their way to help us get everything ready to head down the road. The office staff were so friendly and did a great job with the paperwork and permits. They even assisted to get the previous owner's manuals and service records shipped in for us. They referred us to several business so we could purchase a car trailer to tow behind. We left their business feeling like we have friends there now and that we can call to ask questions if the need arises. They are professional in all they do. Hello. I am selling a house and needed electrical work…read moredone by 5/29/2019. I called Travis Electrical service and requested a quote for wiring in a dishwasher and also an oven. I also needed 4 ceiling fans replaced and a vanity light in the bathroom installed. The team showed up on time and were very professional and courteous. I was given an estimate of $1000 but the house wiring would not be up to code in order to pass the building inspection. Travis Electrical stated that it would cost me an additional $1000 to bring things up to code. I agreed. 4 hours later the team called me and said they had completed the project as I had agreed to bring them a check. During the walk through I was informed that one of the globes on a fan was broken when they opened the package. He said, "Take the box back to Lowe's and the store would replace it. (The globe). I took his word for it. I also asked if they guaranteed the house would pass building codes. He said no. (In case they missed something) The next morning Travis Electrical Service administration called and were asking for a 5 star rating for the electrical team. I stated that the team was courteous and professional but way overpriced @ $500 per hour. This morning I said that the work looked good. I am now at the house inspecting the 4 ceiling fans. Upon further inspection. I found that one of the lights was without chain markers (extended pieces of chain with a medallion at the end. This medallion is clearly marked either "fan" or "light" which makes it easy to turn on the fan or light or both. I searched through the boxes and found the two chains and installed them myself. Another fan had the two chains installed in the wrong place completely backwards. Which I uninstalled and reinstalled correctly. Because 3 out of 4 fans required work from me to operate correctly. I am beginning to question whether the fixture was broken during installation or not. As I study the work receipt I see that I was charged $761 for five wireless smoke detectors. (Amazon sells them for $32 a piece). A plastic weather proof cover for an outlet was $54. I applaud their professionalism and courtesy but feel I was taken advantage of because of my deadline time frame and the extreme markup for smoke detectors and plastic all weather cover and the terrible attention to detail on the ceiling fans. The next day I received a call from the company's customer service asking if I was satisfied with the work. I said, "No I am not satisfied." And I explained to her why. She said, "I will be there with a crew tomorrow and make everything right." They showed up on time. Fixed all my issues. Took the smoke detectors off the walls and gave me a refund check of $761. I am very impressed with how deeply they wanted to make me a happy customer. And now I am. 5 stars for customer service.
