Ask for Barry! 202.669.7274 This was the best way to view D.C. and not have to walk for miles. You decide how long and where to explore. Barry was not only a phenomenal tour guide with a great personality but he's a wonderful photographer as well. Our kids loved the fun adventures and we pedaled away with lasting memories.

I hired National Pedicab so that I could make a surprise grand entrance to my wedding and I was not disappointed. My driver Alex was so nice and very very patient. The bus from our hotel was an hour late so everything got pushed back. My bridesmaids and I had to Uber from our hotel in VA to meet Alex in the city and he waited for us with no complaints. Since we were getting married at the D.C. War Memorial, we didn't have any music to walk down the aisle to due to the noise ordinance, but Alex surprised us because when we rode up, he had a little speaker and started playing the song Here Comes the Bride! It literally brought tears to my eyes because of his thoughtfulness. I cannot thank him and the owner Rick enough for being so accommodating. I wish I would've had money on me (I was in my wedding dress so no purse or pockets) because I would have given him a much larger tip than I did because he truly deserved it. Next time I'm in D.C. I will definitely use them for a tour of the city.

Sorry. Forgot his name but he's the man.

Just wrapped up a wonderful tour with Robert over a weekend in May…read more My mom and I planned a weekend trip to DC from NJ. Knowing we only had less than 2 days to tour the monuments, in addition to the fact that my mother in her older age doesn't have as many steps in her as she used to - I was trying to get creative with our schedule to make the most of our time. A quick google search helped me land on this company. I always forget that the monuments in DC are quite spread out. Being on a bike is definitely your best option. I emailed the company on a Tuesday night before our trip and had a response immediately the next morning. Our guide Robert was very thorough, friendly, and flexible with our schedule. He also gave us a great suggestion to skip the Air and Space museum as part of it was under construction. He definitely knows DC quite well. He met us on the tail end of our visit at the Natural History museum and over the course of 3 hours we were able to see the Washington monument, Jefferson memorial, Mason memorial, MLK, Lincoln, Korean War, Vietnam War, and finally ended near the White House. We also would have had time for one more if we didn't take a break for lunch. Highly highly recommend this if your needs are similar to what I described above. Robert will give you a lot of historical context along the way.

Other than the predictable crowds at the Lincoln Memorial, we were virtually the only people at the majority of major sites on the tour. You aren't surrounded by the smog of multiple tour buses, nor hoards of other tourists. The meeting point is right in front of the Willard Hotel with the blue awnings, and just to give you a preview of the sorts of interesting details shared by the gregarious Chris, and the scholarly Reed, here you are. When Ulysses S. Grant was president, he used the Willard often for private meetings so when others clued into this behavior they would show up in the hopes of catching him for a few minutes or merely to overhear what was said. These interlopers were said to linger in the lobby awaiting his arrival, so he took to calling them, lobbyists. I love these sorts of facts! These men put their all into the tour, both literally with muscle power, as they deftly maneuver various barriers along the way, and with all their fantastic knowledge of the place. We spent almost four hours and I could easily have done an entire day with these gentlemen, as every minute was a discovery and a pleasure. Remember, this is a business, and if you enjoy the service, TIPPING, EACH OF THEM, generously, is the way to express it! There is a lot of D.C. to cover, I'll be back for another round during my next visit.

We signed up for the electric scooter tour (mostly at my behest - because I love them so:). My girl and I were a party of two, and we joined a party of 3 (mom and two girls) for a run ride out on the town. First, we met at the bike shop, where all the scooters and accommodations had been taken care of ahead of time. The shop is conveniently located by this quiet alley, where Barry gave us an overview of the trip, discussed any special considerations, went over relevant safety stuff, and let everyone practice and get comfortable on the scooters (in the safety of that quiet alley). All with a GREAT sense of humor and a smile. It was enough to put even that nervous mother at ease with her girls. (I'm not sure if I had more fun watching him at work with the family, or actually seeing the sites along the tour - haha!). He throws in a couple of bonus gems and things along the way. My guess is that every one of his tours is a little bit different from the ones before it. Then we went and did all the things. I think we were gone for a couple of hours total. I loved it. I'm not sure why, but the whole time, I was in just such a good mood. Thank you Barry, for bringing the joy to the ride. From the bottom of my heart, we are all still smiling. Thank you for such a fun and simple, safe, silly, and memorable experience. We loved it!!

While he was nice, he didn't have a lot to add off the track I pretty sure he had memorized. I actually feel like I heard most about which monuments had the best restrooms than much of anything else (we never asked about bathroom situations). Would I book this again, no. Here is what I learned, you still walk a fair amount into these monuments from where they drop you in the golf cart vs. the people who are on the bikes and scooters. If you're really looking for the least amount of walking and able to operate those that would save you time and money. Overall, there was no value for the price tag for us and the guide kind of ruined the experience.

Nathan, our tour guide was so friendly, personable and most important knowledgeable without feeling like we were in a classroom being lectured. He gave us plenty of time at all the sites. He even dropped us off at a Metro station after the tour and told us how to get to where we wanted to go, Postal Museum. Dropped us at Gallery Place and took the red line two stops to Union Station and the museum was right next door! Just wanted to make sure Nathan was acknowledged for his premiere service and I wanted to let you know how much my sister and I enjoyed the tour and set up our Saturday for a great day. We were on the first tour of the day to see where everything was and then spent the rest of the day going back to those places we wanted to see more of. And there were only 4 of us on the tour! THAT has never happened to me. A microphone for the tour guide and speaker wouuld be helpful if you are sitting further back in the golf cart. But overall. . . a 10 out of 10!

Anyway, the bus is freezing cold and I thought maybe it just takes awhile to warm up. Hours later and not any better. It's literally 20 degrees outside so heat is needed on here! A was let on followed by B in an orderly fashion but C was a Free-For-All which sucked if u got there early & had someone in the back just run up ahead of you. 2) Not all seats have outlets OR footrests. You will need these footrests as the leather seats have a slight downward slope to them which was extremely uncomfortable causing you to edge forward. We had neither convenience in our seat row. 3) Nothing was shown on the TV's 4) Bathroom had no light at all. 5) getting luggage off is another Free-For-All 6) There was no rest stop to use a proper restroom or stretch your legs. The Good: 1) Allowed to show confirmation via smartphone. 2) AC was comfortable 3) Bus appeared clean & relatively new. 4) Seats are reclinable and armrests lift although there is zero lumbar support on the Leather Seats 5) Overhead storage wasn't bad. 6) Back of seat has drink holder 7) FREE WiFi if you can get it to work. 8) Price was good for what you get Overall Verdict, worth the $ if you know where to sit & are prepared. My personal experience is why I gave a 3 star. If we had gotten a good seat it might have been four. The zero light in the bathroom & unorganized boarding process would still make it only four stars. Check my pictures I uploaded some of the back of the seats as well as what the NYC drop off point looks like.

The trip was quite reasonable: it got the job done and the comfort level was better than expected, despite a full train. Most passengers were considerate (except for one family that played a TV show loudly on a cellphone; an annoyance that reflected more poorly on them than bothered people sitting more than two rows away). I also liked it that my car at least had a faucet for dispensing drinking water, and a good supply of cups. On a long trip, staying hydrated is important. (I am not sure if all cars had water dispensers though.) My only complaint is the bathrooms -- they got increasingly dirty over the trip. Towards the last quarter of the trip, one of the bathrooms became unusable because it looked like someone peed on the floor. I don't think he (or they, if it was cumulative) did it on purpose; the toilets are very small, and on a rolling train, it's easy to miss. Fortunately they were other bathrooms that remained, not clean, but at least usable (for gents). Oh, even though the ride is called "Lakeview", you only saw a lake (Lake Erie) for about 1 minute. The rest of the trip was land on both sides, except for crossing rivers. No big deal; most of trip was night anyway.

Let's get into it. Very small - perfect for solo or couple short stays. I am a minimalist so it was right up my alley. The space, although small, had everything you need and the creative storage spaces was ingenious. Fresh smell throughout the hotel and room and carpeted hallway relatively quiet. Comfy beds! Sound - my room was on the 11th floor facing the street and construction but there were ear plugs and a sound diffuser. Again, great idea and worked perfectly but it wasn't much of a busy night so it worked out. Location - perfect... parking can be added to the hotel reservation with in/out privileges. Parking garage elevator leads you to inside the arena so you avoid the madness outside. Easy in and easy out. Around the block from the arena so super convenient. Amenities - the bar area was bustling but I did not partake. Only aspect of the room that is just a personal preference of mine..... no carpet, wooden floors. Not much floor space either way it was not a deal breaker. Motto has definitely found a friend in me!!!

This is a micro hotel and the rooms are really small, so plan accordingly. No irons, ironing boards, coffee kettles or anything extra in the rooms and no place really to store your luggage. But, with that said, my room was doable, and the views were nice minus the construction all around the hotel. I did get a very nice view of the November supermoon from my 10th floor room. Bed was comfy and I did get to watch a bit of mind numbing TV when I could. Thermometer was easy to control, lots of hooks in the room to better use the space was really appreciated. Hotel has a nice restaurant and the bakery items in the morning and coffee were a godsend. I let management know that the rooms were quite small and no coffee maker in the morning and hotel was courteous enough to give me a $30 food and beverage credit at their restaurant. They have a bar in the basement and I've been here a few times and I like the cozy nature of the tucked under bar/restaurant. Good cocktails and typical bar food. Gym is located two floors below and had a decent amount of equipment and I got in a nice run here one morning before the conference, towels, water and sanitizing wipes were well stocked. Overall, a good stay, a no frills, solid stay in DC, good location with easy access to everything and metro stop right across the street. I'd stay here again.
