My wife ordered the 1/2 Chicken Salad Sandwich with Chips and the Tomato Artichoke Soup. My sandwich was delicious but the chips were soaked with grease and heavy with salt. My salad was OK. My wife said her Chicken Salad Sandwich was bland with little flavor and her chips were just like mine. She did like her soup. We did not get drinks, only their warm served water. With tip, our lunch was $48. Very overpriced for the quality of our lunch today.

It even has a full cereal bar. Wow!  It is centrally located in a shopping plaza with plenty of free parking, friendly staff and clean and comfortable common areas. We shared a slice of Martine's Pastry double chocolate cake and wow, it was divine, so rich, fudgy, and absolutely worth the indulgence. The variety of coffee choices was seriously next level! We shared a cup of their decaf espresso and it was smooth, bold, and perfectly balanced. Definitely a spot we'll be revisiting. This is a fully functional restaurant and or cafe style place. They have a great menu. The menu is seasonal. It's not simple by any standards. In fact it's a great little high end place for garden parties. But today it's just two simple individuals that are having lunch in a garden together. Now we had some sort of special lunch arrangement with hummus and a Greek like salad. It was fresh and delicious. They have great coffee offerings. You must have the flavored gelato with coffee. We had the hazelnut one. It's delicious especially on these hot humid summer days. The service was great. Not being from the area they had to explain the menu to us. A few times. But all went well. They make the gelato offerings as soon as they are ordered. The food they call at the end, eventually. It's made to order. Now where else can you eat in a green house garden? Here in Lexington! If you visit when the butterflies are in season, make sure to take a stroll to the butterfly house on the side of the building - it's a small, peaceful getaway. Sometimes they even have moths in a cage inside the store, which is always interesting to see. I've been to hundreds of coffee shops across the country, and this is truly my favorite of all - and it just happens to be right next to my neighborhood.
