I accompanied family for a work event to a BBQ and baseball game a few weeks ago. The BBQ area was organized and set up for people to easily access the food/drinks. Staff were helpful and answered all my questions. Washrooms were clean and there's plenty of parking around the stadium. I didn't end up watching baseball, but it's about the experience with the food and family. The men paid attention to the game, the kids can be as loud and I had a great time.

    Beautiful ball park!

Fantastic stadium!!! I have to say, being a true Blue Dodger fan I go to Chavez Ravine a few times a year. But this has a totally different vibe. Minor league or not, its baseball. If you love the sport it doesn't matter, it's baseball and it's fun. If you're not a huge fan of baseball, that's okay, it's lots of fun. And this is a beautiful experience. The ball park is beautiful. The park and trees behind right field are beautiful. The people working there at so nice (maybe a bit slow, but very nice). The food was out of this world. The popcorn is yellow. The brew is ice cold and dogs are 1 or 3 feet long. Incredible!!! If you got the Cajones, get the Yard Dog, I went with the footlong. I was very pleased. The only bit of disappointment was there were no straws (Vancouver rules) and they were out of the footlong corndogs . I love corndogs. So happy to see old school concession stands and not the chain stores like at the Major League ballparks. GREAT EXPERIENCE, even though the Canadians lost 11-1, we'll get em next time.

Love me a Canadians game and I always have a fun time at Nat Bailey stadium. Just a heads up, the games seem to be selling out surprisingly often. I have started buying them ahead of time online to avoid disappointment. Useful tips: There is FREE parking in the neighboring if you apply yourself. Arrive earlier more luck at free, otherwise the pay parking lot is $10 and it can sell out as well. There is a gift shop inside, if you want to buy some merchandise, or a hat during 30 degree weather when you forget yours. Alcoholic libations are available for about $8. "Hey Y'all" hard iced teas, "Lone Tree" apple and pear cider, beer and wine ect. Food is pricey so eat before you come. Stadium is kept clean, staff are friendly and the mascot is always great for photos! Don't forget your sunscreen, hat and blanket, because you may not have access to shade and the temperature can be variable, especially the evening games. I also find the seat backs for some seating uncomfortable (double use for your blanket) so maybe even bring a small pillow. Most importantly, don't forget to cheer for "The Canadians!"

Came here for a nooner. The VIP spots look good on paper, but if you're sitting far out, you can't see anything. My colleagues and I spent more time chatting than actually watching the game. Oh well. At least the food was good, and we got to bond. The good thing was that the tables were shaded, though everyone started piling around one side when the sun started to shift towards the W. The food is mediocre, but this isn't a 5-star hotel.

It was pretty fun. Because this was a company event, we all sat in the patio area with the problem of being too far from the game. Being that far makes it pretty hard to enjoy and know what is happening in the game. I liked the food that they provided. The food was pretty decent. I have been to this place many times when I was a kid because I lived blocks away and the stadium at that time gave out free tickets to people who lived by. Not sure if they did this anymore. As a tip don't park in their parkade if you get there early. There are many street parkings that are free. If you show up when the door is open, great! you would save your self some $$. I would come back if I had another company event here, that's for sure!

It's true that the Canadians only play Single-A baseball. They're often not playing at major league skill level and the games can be interesting if only because of the number of errors that occur. However, the Canadians organisation knows how to put on a great day. There's all kinds of concession options on the concourse and then there's the beer and snack guys that work the crowd. You can get hot dogs and burgers and chicken strips and your choice of beer, but you can also get sushi and popcorn and all kinds of things (including a 2 foot hotdog if you know where to ask). And on a sunny evening there's few better ways to spend the time than sitting with friends, beer in hand watching a ball game. Equal parts exciting and social. And then there's the distractions. The sushi race mid game. The groundskeepers that learn new dance routines every season. The chicken dance and the seventh inning stretch. So do yourself a favour, go watch a game. You won't regret it.

Not sure what this was all about but it was a bit creepy.

I'll be the first to admit that I am totally not a baseball fan and I have a rudimentary understanding of baseball at best. However, I love attending sporting events in general so when I was surprised with a evening to see the Canadians play, i was totally stoked! Our seats were in the very back (section 2) but even then I could see everything that was happening and didn't feel like I was missing out at all. The facilities were great and had a bit of a retro feel to it and everything was pretty clean. I loved the atmosphere, the various distractions, and the rituals of the whole experience (as some people mentioned the chicken dance, batter songs, sushi races, the wave). The food from the various vendors on site is what you might expect, over priced and "okay", but as some have mentioned, the Kid's combo for $8 is a huge bargain which included a hotdog, fries, and a pop. Also, beer brought over to your seats, why not!? It's too bad that we missed out on the fireworks this time around due to the fireban, but props to Nat Bailey Stadium enforcing this even though it was voluntary for them. Overall though, I had an awesome time! I would definitely come back.

    That's a bat!

They sell hot dogs, burgers, Indian food, poutines, Mac N Cheese and Korean fried chicken. I personally find it they have a bit more variety than Rogers Arena. I had an opportunity to go here because of White Caps playoff back in November. I visited here the second time while my previous visit was for a concert. The stadium here is a dome shape which can be opened in summer. It was steamy hot the last time I visited here. The game unexpectedly took a long time that I had to stay about 5 hours after multiple penalty kicks. It was fun cheering for my favourite soccer player. My biggest gripe was the phone charger booth. It wasn't the portable type on the go. It was the type where you lock and store it in the box. Would've been better if was a portable type to carry around. Food was expensive overall. I think they need to ease up on how things are done. This is the second time I missed the opening act because of how ridiculous circumstances are with the crowd control. Don't sell tickets if you cannot guarantee that people are able to come in and see the concerts whenever they please. The seats are also very uncomfortable and it is not recommended to sit on for 3+ hours if you have horrendous health issues like sciatica or back problems. You cannot even bring a seat cushion. I prefer Rogers arena over this place. Note that they are also very picky with what type of bag you bring in. You have to bring a tiny bag that barely fits anything or an ugly transparent bag for this occasion. With so many factors to weigh in on, I would not want to come back as it is rather a large inconvenience. To the manager of this place: Please do better! We get better service at Rogers Arena and I am apprehensive about coming back as it has gotten worse! I missed the opening act of a U2 concert several years ago and now this?!

For pure ballgame experience it's a solid 3 star - because I'm sentimental to the Canadians (being…read morea local), this is a 4 star. I've been to many other "character" minor league stadiums and Nat Bailey Stadium is middle of the road - it was below par before the recent renovations. It's difficult to really do too much more to the stadium because of the logistical limitations - BUT let's get on with my actual ball game experience here. This is more than something from memory without any substance - yes that is a barb at Jenni O. It was Japanese Heritage night tonight at the "Nat" so there were a good deal of JCs in the seats. Good crowd and we sat in section 2 - after being given a bunch of free tickets. There were folks sitting in our bleacher seats so we just went two rows back to take a seat - only to be displaced by the actual ticketholders of that row in the fourth inning, so we went 10 rows down to another row to settle for the rest of the game. Baseball games are really about the experience of being there, taking in the great weather, watching the occasional good play, watching the sights around (birds, moon, people), being in the presence of good company, and having that ball park food. All that was there tonight, EXCEPT for the food. Holy S#$%! What planet did they pull those astronomical concessions prices from?!? It's like they took movie concession prices and added $1 to everything. Here's the run down of my not so satisfying buy (except for the mildly tasty foot long): - Chicken strips with overdone fries = $8.75 - Hot dog with overdone fries = $8.50 - 2 x Sprites (about a normal medium fountain drink) = 2 x $3.75 = $7.50 - Footlong hot dog = $6.75 I felt violated. Not just the price, but the taste. Even the cashier who took my order agreed with my comments of it being a rip off. But I suppose they have to make their money somewhere. This is one of those few places where your food could cost you more than the actual tickets if you take your family. Ordinarily I would take a star off for that, but my tickets were free so I've softened the blow somewhat. I do like what they've done with the front parking lot (doesn't hurt that the new 2010 curling facility is next door), with the art on the outside of the stadium and the revamped concession area. I know this is an old park, but it would be nice to have a big scoreboard that included such things as the stats of the player up to bat, etc. I also like the parking situation - $5 is very reasonable to par right behind the stadium. I'm just happy that we sat on the section 2 side so as not to be staring into the sun most of the game. As a random sidenote the American anthem singer was pretty bad, but the best part was his hand gesturing throughout his rendition.

That year, they finished in second place in the MLS Western Conference, third place overall, and advanced to the Conference Semifinals where they lost to the eventual MLS Cup champions and their longtime rivals, the Portland Timbers. The Whitecaps play in BC Place (opened 1983; renovated 2009, 2011), located in the heart of Vancouver, just on the north side of False Creek, downtown. With an official seating capacity of 22,120, Whitecap games are well-attended with an average annual attendance of 21,143 over the last five years (95.6% average capacity). Despite lackluster results on the pitch, Vancouver fans come out to support and it's not surprising given how popular MLS has become, particularly with in-person attendance, over the years. FYI, BC Place was the main stadium for the 2010 Winter Olympics. A couple of prolific former Whitecaps include Brazilian forward Camilo Sanvezzo (a.k.a. "Camilo"), Chilean midfielder Pedro Morales, and Danish goalkeeper David Ousted. To date, Camilo and Morales have been Vancouver's top two goalscorers at 43 and 29 goals, respectively. Morales is actually tied for second with fellow midfielder and teammate for two seasons (2015-16), Uruguayan Cristian Techera. Ousted, who played for Vancouver from 2013-17, is tied for the third-most appearances with the team. He holds the team records for most wins, clean sheets, and saves, all coming in the fruitful 2014-15 era. Uniquely, in 2020, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and Canadian quarantine rules, the Whitecaps played their remaining home games at Providence Park in Portland, Oregon. Providence Park is home to the aforementioned Timbers, one of the Whitecaps' biggest rivals. It was nice of the Timbers to host the Whitecaps during this global crisis.

Despite decades of history, Vancouver has never won the Stanley Cup. Coincidentally, the team is tied with Buffalo for being the two oldest in the league to not win the Cup. The Canucks have reached the Stanley Cup Finals three times (1982, 1994, 2011) which is one more time than the Sabres (1975, 1999). The Canucks also won back-to-back Presidents' Trophies, for having the best regular season record, in 2011 (117 points) and 2012 (111 points, lockout-shortened season). The Canucks lost to the Boston Bruins, 4-3, in a series that went the distance. Vancouver had home ice advantage and they needed it -- the team played noticeably worse on the road. In the three games played in Boston, the Canucks averaged only 1.00 goal per game as opposed to 1.25 goals per game at home (not great either). Also, former third-string goalie Cory Schneider ended up replacing Luongo in two of those road games, Games 4 and 6. The Canucks set a league-low record in those 2011 Finals: least goals scored by any team in a seven-game series (8). The Canucks currently play at Rogers Arena, also known as "The Garage" for when the venue was named General Motors Place (1995-2010). This is the same arena - GM Place - that the NBA's Vancouver Grizzlies (1995-2001) played in. Both the Canucks and the Grizzlies were the first teams to play in the arena when it opened in 1995. Since 2012, it's had a seating capacity of 18,910 for Canucks games, comparable to most other NHL arenas today. The Garage is located next to BC Place and Costco on the east side of downtown.
