From beginning to end, the experience feels magical and incredibly family friendly. What impressed me most was how accommodating they are toward children. Watching their faces light up throughout the show was almost as entertaining as the performance itself. The skaters do such a fantastic job bringing the characters to life that it genuinely feels like you're watching the movies right in front of you. Add in the music, the sing-along moments and all the Disney magic and you have an experience that creates memories long after the show is over.

CANADIANS ARE SERIOUS ABOUT THEIR METAL! The venue was super packed on a Wednesday night and not a Justin Beiber T-Shirt in sight. Sometimes, Americans metalheads wear them or a lot of pop artists tour shirts to show to be ironic, I think, and the merch tables will take jabs at him but I didn't see that at all tonight. Anyway, fans were sweet and the crowd was legit! Show was all general admission and you could either stand or pick a chair and sit. Sound was loud, loud and loud. PERFECT! I think one of my favorite parts of this venue was that you really get a great view no matter where you are. Its kind of weird for some of the seats because you will be looking at the stage at an angle so just stretch your neck every once in a while and you'll be fine. Only issue I would say was the weird stair situation. Some of the stairs change once you get closer to the floor and I saw a lot of adults, intoxicated and not, missing the step and falling. Some of the stairs go from the same depth to about 2 mini steps per 1 large/normal step. Hopefully that is remedied. That's all. Would love to come back and hope there are a lot more metal shows here!

It looks like quality of the products sold has gone done over the years, as there are now many places hawking cheapo nightmarket-type stuff such as cell phone covers. But they still have classics, such as Sweepas and Shamwows. Just make sure this is the last stop when you hit up PNE, as you don't want to lug around a bunch of stuff all day.

take me out to the ball game…read more there's something wonderfully nostalgic about spending an evening at nat bailey stadium. near queen elizabeth park, the stadium has been home to the vancouver canadians for decades and has that old school minor league baseball feel that makes a game here about much more than what's happening on the field. tonight's matchup was the vancouver canadians versus the tri-city dust devils, and the whole evening had that easy, family oriented, community feel you want from a baseball game. no need to dress up, no need to make a big production out of it. just grab a seat, settle in, and let the game happen around you. we weren't particularly hungry at 5:00 pm, so instead of going all in on their footlong dogs, we made an easy decision: hand scooped strawberry milkshakes from triple o's. cold, creamy, and strawberry forward, it was just enough of a treat without committing to a full meal. there was plenty going on between innings too. the chicken dance made an appearance, there was the seventh inning stretch, a 50/50 draw, and all sorts of little bits of entertainment that kept everyone engaged. it's the kind of stuff that makes a live baseball game feel like an event rather than simply sitting down to watch nine innings. one of my favourite details was watching someone behind the scoreboard manually updating the scores and game information. there's something oddly satisfying about seeing it happen in real time rather than everything being instantly updated on a giant digital screen. and then there was the fan who caught a foul ball with one outstretched hand while holding a beer in the other. the crowd absolutely roared and broke into applause. honestly, that may have been one of the night's highlights. the scoreboard wasn't just about the score either. there were player stats, home run counts, stolen bases, and other bits of information that gave you something to keep an eye on between pitches. for someone who enjoys the little details, it added another layer to the game. the crowd really brought the atmosphere. at one point, everyone stood up and clapped in unison, creating this sudden wall of noise and energy around the stadium. it was loud, enthusiastic, and exactly the kind of thing you don't get watching a game from home. a big thank you to subaru for sponsoring the game and for the baseball cap and water bottle flask. free swag is always better when it's actually useful, and both were nice take home extras. nat bailey has been a fixture in vancouver baseball for decades, and while it's certainly not a modern, bells and whistles stadium, that's part of the charm. the relatively intimate seating, neighbourhood setting, mountain views, enthusiastic fans, and all the little traditions make it feel distinctly vancouver. there's something about baseball that slows everything down in the best possible way. sit back, sip a strawberry milkshake, root for the home team, do the chicken dance, stretch during the seventh inning, watch the scoreboard get updated by hand, and enjoy an evening at the ballpark. for it's one, two, three strikes, you're out, at the old ball game

New West hasn't been known as a great place to run outdoors because you'll have to tackle all those insanely steep hills! It has been like years that I've seen an actual person running on the streets in New West for fitness purposes, and not getting chased by some crazies. There is some great news because Mercer Stadium has gone through over 2 million dollars in upgrades with a brand new blue and gold coloured running track. This is the second track in Canada with this colour pattern. University of Windsor was the first to use this colour pattern for their track. It's a Polytan PUR track which means that it's great for wet and dry conditions and there's a nice springy feel to it. If you're not into running on a track, there is an artificial turf in the centre of the stadium which is perfect for soccer. Unlike Swangard Stadium in Burnaby, Mercer Stadium is opened for 24 hours a day, so get after it!

This is my story, I asked for hot water to top off my drank tea (I purchased it there of course). She not only seem unpleased at my request for adding hot water but used a mug that looked dirty to fill the hot water then she poured it into my paper cup. This mug appear to have her bright pink lipstick stain inside the mug, and when called her out if it was lipstick she said, "no it's coffee stain at the bottom of the cup"! Double gross! Lipstick and coffee stains! I felt sick left my tea on the counter! The health inspection should look into their health and safety standards! Really she can't give me hot water in my own cup, but she chooses to use her own dirty *** cup to transfer hot water!!!!!! Their health standards are gross and neglect any customer service. In fact she's passive aggressive in my opinion. If she was a decent human being she would have apologized and give me a brand new tea! Instead she argued that it's a coffee stain and that's supposed to be okay! Nope not okay! This is during the Richmond Boys tournament Dec 2024. I'm banning this concession and so should you!

Plenty of vending machines everywhere that have sports drinks and coffee. Plenty of viewing areas. A huge parking lot dedicated to the RIC.

Rink may be a bit older than the newer community centers but the staff seem to do a decent job maintaining their facilities. Rental service was very efficient even though staff were probably overworked the day we visited since it was a free event. 3 hour free parking available from 7am to 7pm. There is also a concession area selling hot dog, popcorn, pretzels, etc opened during the weekend but not sure of its weekday hours as it's not posted. Didn't check out their shower or other rinks in arena and it seems popular for hockey practice. Tho I don't live in Richmond, I would definitely return again to friends' invite after this pleasant first time experience. Good job to the team at Minoru Arena!
