    View from parking lot~

Very nice secluded park with a view at the top of Burnaby Mountain. This park is located just W of the SFU campus. Access is from Burnaby Mountain Parkway. Parking is available in the decently large lot. Not sure how busy this place gets during the summer. The park has a private event centre, playground, covered picnic area, and a giant ground mural. There are also some walking trails that connect both to SFU, as well as the bottom of the mountain (towards Hastings and Duthie). This place provides some of the best views of Burrard Inlet and Indian Arm, as well as Deep Cove and Belcarra. Worth checking out if one is sightseeing in the area.

Located in the outskirts of of Vancouver in Burnaby, this unique park sat on top of a hill. It overlooked the metropolitan area of Vancouver with spectacular views of the basin and the Burrand inlet. We visited the park around noon on a Sunday in early May. It was a bit cloudy but not very cold. Very few visitors were present to spoil the pristine scenery. Most distinguished features are the aged totem poles on the upper side of the slope. Looking down from the same slope you can see the city and the inlet spread out in front. The view was magnificent. There is a cafe on top of the hill but was not open as it was too early in the season. There were plenty of parking spaces. As it's still early May, the climate was a bit cooler. The rose bushes in the rose garden were just starting to show new leaves but no buds as yet. It would be spectacular once all of them started to bloom. We didn't stay too long as it started to rain but it was worth the trip. There was no entrance or parking fee on the day we visited. The park also has hiking and walking trails if one so inclined.

You don't have to travel too far to get nice city view, just come to Burnaby mountain park, you will be able to see Vancouver downtown, north Vancouver, Burnaby and new west all together. A lot of people come up here to sea the sunset as well, but better come earlier so you would be able to get a nice parking spot where you can enjoy the beautiful sunset in your car!

Great little park with amazing views. On a clear day you can see downtown Vancouver also a great view of North Vancouver Deep Cove. Free parking!

Lovely trails and a couple different ways. A big parking lot if you drive but walking distance to bus stops. A restaruant at the parking lot entrance too. Old and beautiful totem poles and playground with a gorgeous rose garden filled with different coloured roses. Great for walks, picnics, pictures, kids, elderly, and tourists. Groups or alone are both fine too. Staffs make sure it's clean and flowers are watered so it's always beautiful but in the summer the grass are usually dry and yellowish to save water but when it gets a bit cooler the grass are usually all green and it's really pretty there. Highly recommend and I would definitely be going back soon!
