The main exhibit is the St. Roch, an RCMP vessel designed and built for the Arctic seas. The history of the ship and its crew is a compelling story to read. Totally enclosed inside its own structure, protecting it from the elements. Some exhibits were closed, and admission was discounted. Pay to park is available.

The walking paths are paved and very easy to walk even for the elderly. It is chillier on the mountain so be prepared to wear layers. There is an area that overlooks a body of water (can't remember the name) but would look amazing on a sunny day. When I went it was raining but the sight was still wonderful. There were totem poles throughout the site as well, I would love to see this in the summer when everything is blooming!

The exhibits are incredibly well-done, featuring great interactive screens and a moving film about how the Vancouver community raised the equivalent of a million dollars today to save a village in Taishan during a drought. Pro-tip: Definately go take the guided tour at 11am, 1pm, or 3pm. It's the only way to access the amazing Learning Lab in the basement, which features a cool, artifact-filled recreation of 1950s Chinatown storefronts. Our guide was fantastic, sharing eye-opening insights, like pointing out how Chinese workers were completely left out of the famous "Last Spike" railway photo despite their immense sacrifices. We were also incredibly lucky to have an older Chinese gentleman on our tour whose family arrived in the 1920s. He shared powerful, firsthand accounts of the discrimination his family faced, from being barred from certain schools and swimming pools, to being treated so poorly in local hospitals that the community had to band together to build Mount Saint Joseph Hospital just to get proper care. Hearing living history right alongside the museum's artifacts made for an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend taking the tour and supporting this vital center!

A good collection of photos and memorabilia, which having grown up in Vancouver, felt very nostalgic as I remember I read about past businesses in Chinatown that no longer exist. I spent maybe 15-20 minutes to walk through. If I had read very information panel and interacted with every display, it could take more than an hour to go through. Having gone in for free, it was nice. If I had paid the $18 adult admission fee, I'm not sure I would've been as happy.

Do not think the Natural History Museum in London or the Met in Manhattan. That would be an - apples & oranges comparison, with the former two leading the way when it comes to museums worldwide. The MOA while not as grandiose as the Met, really stands out on its own showcasing mainly First Nations art along with other various artwork. It is a splendid museum. Budget to easily spend a minimum 3 to 5 hours here but definitely give yourself more time & do not rush. There's a lot to see here. There are guided tours available with your paid entry fee. Check at the front desk for more information. Make a note to also go outside of the museum & check out the Totems. Make sure you have a big brekkie or lunch before coming here. The cafe here sells limited items & you cannot bring drinks or food into the museum. Do check online for opening hours in order to give yourself enough time here. Limited parking is available. I parked at the Student Union building then walked over to the MOA along Main Mall & then through the Rose Garden to get here - approximately a 20 minute walk one way. It wasn't cheap but I was with visitors from out of town, so I didn't mind as I was showing them around UBC at the same time. Honestly, I can't wait to go again.

Boundary Bay Airshow is my favourite family-friendly event in the Lower Mainland…read more Alpha Aviation and the City of Delta organized this event extremely well for a free event -- from parking, shuttle transportation to and from the event and awesome aerial shows. For 2019, this was the first time ever that the Snowbirds performed at the Boundary Bay Airshow. In addition, a CF-18 Hornet showed up for display and for an aerial performing flight, which doesn't happen every year. All of the aerial performances from the vintage airplanes to the present-day planes were amazing. Watching them perform aerobatic maneuvers from felt very relaxing and peaceful. I love how the announcer would give us a biography of the pilot, history of the airplanes and the types of maneuvers that pilot would perform during flight. It was also great that they didn't do any aerial bombing demonstrations from the fighter jets because there was one year that my DSLR camera and all my photos were damaged from huge fire and smoke from the bomb explosions. I loved the vintage airplanes that were on ground display and demonstrations in the air. It was great to see them in real life, especially when I spent my youth building mostly Revell and Monogram plastic model airplanes from WWII era to present.
