Super hard to skate on but I had fun trying to figure it out. The tubing slide thing was AWESOME. It went super fast and I felt my soul leave my body. Next was the gorgeous light maze. The entrance tunnel was so soothing. There were some trippy portions to the maze too. The best lights I've ever seen. My favourite part of aurora was the capes that the workers wore. Where can I get one. They looked so cool, like straight out of a fantasy rpg! I highly recommend this festival if you're simply looking for a wonderful christmas time. :)

There was a decent group of 10 people. We were led down to the Whitecaps dressing room, the pitch, the BC Place suite, and back to the Hall of Fame. It was definitely awesome to be able to see the locker rooms and to step on the same pitch/turf as the pros! It all went by so fast when trying to catch Pokémon at the same time. The tour guide, Rachel, was funny and quite knowledgeable at both the stadium and Pokémon Go! I personally thought we would get to tour more of the stadium such as the upper level and all the way around so we can also hit up all the Poké Stops at the gates as well :( The Hall of Fame is a pretty cool place if you love looking at memorabilia. There are a number of items from the 2010 Olympics as well. Some of the exhibits are interactive, but it's one of those things that you'll really have to spend your time to read in order to get the most out of it. Oh and there are free games to be played. There's a rock climbing wall (that moves), ping pong table, hockey table, and more! Great for kids and it doesn't get too busy so the waits aren't too long!

Also right now, we have Beijing Winter Olympics, it was nice opportunity to learn Olypic history and sport archives. Basically most of museum goods were donated by real Olympians. Very generous and touchy to know hidden story behind the glory. There are corners for Terry Fox and Rick Hansen. Especially Terry's handwriting journal for the day before he started for Marathon of Hope was worth to read.

take me out to the ball game…read more there's something wonderfully nostalgic about spending an evening at nat bailey stadium. near queen elizabeth park, the stadium has been home to the vancouver canadians for decades and has that old school minor league baseball feel that makes a game here about much more than what's happening on the field. tonight's matchup was the vancouver canadians versus the tri-city dust devils, and the whole evening had that easy, family oriented, community feel you want from a baseball game. no need to dress up, no need to make a big production out of it. just grab a seat, settle in, and let the game happen around you. we weren't particularly hungry at 5:00 pm, so instead of going all in on their footlong dogs, we made an easy decision: hand scooped strawberry milkshakes from triple o's. cold, creamy, and strawberry forward, it was just enough of a treat without committing to a full meal. there was plenty going on between innings too. the chicken dance made an appearance, there was the seventh inning stretch, a 50/50 draw, and all sorts of little bits of entertainment that kept everyone engaged. it's the kind of stuff that makes a live baseball game feel like an event rather than simply sitting down to watch nine innings. one of my favourite details was watching someone behind the scoreboard manually updating the scores and game information. there's something oddly satisfying about seeing it happen in real time rather than everything being instantly updated on a giant digital screen. and then there was the fan who caught a foul ball with one outstretched hand while holding a beer in the other. the crowd absolutely roared and broke into applause. honestly, that may have been one of the night's highlights. the scoreboard wasn't just about the score either. there were player stats, home run counts, stolen bases, and other bits of information that gave you something to keep an eye on between pitches. for someone who enjoys the little details, it added another layer to the game. the crowd really brought the atmosphere. at one point, everyone stood up and clapped in unison, creating this sudden wall of noise and energy around the stadium. it was loud, enthusiastic, and exactly the kind of thing you don't get watching a game from home. a big thank you to subaru for sponsoring the game and for the baseball cap and water bottle flask. free swag is always better when it's actually useful, and both were nice take home extras. nat bailey has been a fixture in vancouver baseball for decades, and while it's certainly not a modern, bells and whistles stadium, that's part of the charm. the relatively intimate seating, neighbourhood setting, mountain views, enthusiastic fans, and all the little traditions make it feel distinctly vancouver. there's something about baseball that slows everything down in the best possible way. sit back, sip a strawberry milkshake, root for the home team, do the chicken dance, stretch during the seventh inning, watch the scoreboard get updated by hand, and enjoy an evening at the ballpark. for it's one, two, three strikes, you're out, at the old ball game

There are so many different machines to try, and it was honestly so much fun going from one to another. You can easily spend a good amount of time here playing and having fun. You can even host events here, making it a great place for birthday parties and team events. The venue consists of a "large room" and a "small room", which is designed more for 2 separate events. The open bar is awesome but they are missing some ingredients for certain common drinks. I asked for a virgin mojito and I was told they don't have mint leaves. I asked for the hibiscus berry boba and they didn't have that. I ended up just getting virgin pina colada, virgin chi chi, the mocktail sonic groove as drinks. We had an assortment of food at the event such as chucutery board, assorted pizzas (pepperoni, ham and pineapple, carnivore pizza and etc), assorted sliders (chicken, beef, pulled pork, and vegetarian), wings, calamari , donuts, candies, caramel puddings, fruits and more. There was a lot of food option spread. The was not bad but was definitely not wow. My favorite was the chicken slider. We later went up to the game area which is on the 3rd floor. I spent all my credits on claw machines basically. I did manage to save Mr. Potatoe Head so that was some achievement. The games are quite fun. Based on the location, the games are meant for adults. I really enjoyed my time here and I have to say the place is less busy compared to the Brentwood location. One thing to note is that the claw machine here cost 16 credits for one try on the winning the prize whereas the Brentwood location gives you 3 tries for 16 credits. It was a packed room because of the FIFA 2026 World Cup match between Portugal and Croatia. We enjoyed watching the thrilling game and eating our meal.
