Nice, big venue with lots of parking around. I think the art deco style is pretty cool too!

Answer: The Shameful Tiki room, tried to call, rookie mistake then followed instructions and emailed them. As a hopeful walk in they were very gracious and seated us within the estimated 1/2 hour. Also, it's a good idea to come after a hearty meal to fully appreciate the alcohol. As you step into this bar from the bustling streets of Vancouver, you're instantly transported to a humid, tropical paradise. The theme is all around you, and you're suddenly in Hawaii, ready to order a mai tai. We began with the mystery bowl, and each bowl comes with its own unique song and flair, making it a fun experience. Whether it's the fire, the smoke show, or the lights flashing in the background as everyone turns to see what you've ordered, it's all part of the show. Besides the bowls, be sure to order your own drinks, as they have something for everyone. Their menu is easy to read, so you can already picture the drink you're about to enjoy. Overall, this is a wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion with their whimsical drinks.

Had a reservation. Sister's birthday party. Group of 8. Waitress doesn't show us where to sit, so…read morewe find it ourselves. Waitress comes back with menus, telling us to ignore a large portion of the menu because it's incorrect. Uhh ok. We order our first round of drinks. Waitress comes back 2-3 minutes later after having forgotten everyone's order. We kindly relay our drink order back to her. She comes back again 5 minutes later, apologizing profusely before asking once again for us to relay our drink orders to her. Drinks finally come. Didn't care too much for my Old Fashioned. They used tiny ice cubes from a tray which is just trashy for an Old Fashioned. Buy some cupcake tins from the dollar store and make jumbo ice cubes for old fashioneds, not rocket science. After being left alone for 20 mins, our waitress comes back to take food orders. 4 people in our party order food. We also order 8 glasses of water, which took an additional 15-or-so minutes to get to us. Food took forever. We order a second round of drinks, which also took forever. A second waitress approaches our table to notify us that our previous waitress complained about a heart problem, and abruptly left, and they were backed up. Our food and 2nd round of drinks still hadn't shown up, so we asked if it were possible to just get our separate bills because our new waitress said the food and round 2 drinks weren't put in the system. Our plan was just to pay our tab and bar-hop somewhere less incompetent. New waitress brings our bills, and they were all messed up. Items on wrong bills, certain items missing, certain items charged more than what they were advertised for, etc... it was s total mess. As we were paying for our bills, the food and 2nd round of drinks- which we were told weren't in the system - arrived. Now we feel guilty that the kitchen prepared all this food, so we decided to stay and give the place one last chance. A person at our party ordered the fried cauliflower with sriracha, but they didn't add the sriracha sauce. When he tried to notify our waitress, she flat out ignored him. So he spoke again, a little louder to get her attention over the blaring music. The waitress then snaps. "I heard you the first time! Like fuck." Were her exact words before snatching his plate of cauliflour and storming off. I personally didn't hear it because I was in mid-conversation with someone next to me, but my sister heard it, as well as her 2 friends. I know my sister, she isn't a liar. They confront the waitress when she comes back, she denies it and stomps off rudely. We demand to speak to the manager on the back of the blatant rudeness and unprofessionalism displayed in front of us. A man shows up, apologizing deeply for what happened. He fixed our bills so they matched what we ordered. He also agreed with us when we said we had a terrible time and that the service was atrocious. I'm not going to quote him because he was a cool guy and I don't want to get him fired. We pay, we leave. We vow to never return. However, as we are walking down Commercial on our way to Fet's, guess who we run into? Our previous "sick" waitress who had to leave abruptly due to an illness, leaned up against The Dime, smoking a cigarette, laughing with colleagues. We weren't mad, instead we just burst out laughing. As if The Dirty Penny's service could possibly be any worse...

From beginning to end, the experience feels magical and incredibly family friendly. What impressed me most was how accommodating they are toward children. Watching their faces light up throughout the show was almost as entertaining as the performance itself. Add in the music, the sing-along moments and all the Disney magic and you have an experience that creates memories long after the show is over.

Embarrassing and awful customer service I experienced at the Vancouver Goldeneyes game…read more I was the last person in line and I overheard someone tell my cashier "after you finish with the last customer, go on your break". Since I was the last person/only person left in his line, it was very clear that they meant to help me and then go on break. However, he packed an order in a bag for another customer and put the "closed" sign directly in front of me and walked away. I immediately questioned him and he told me to go to another line and someone will help me there. Expecting me to either budge in front of other customers or line up at the back of another line. It was extremely embarrassing, infuriating, and hurtful. No other cashier or server came to help me. Other customers were also surprised at what happened. I eventually spoke to one other cashier who ended up helping me immediately. But what a horrible and humiliating experience. Other customers came up to me afterwards to let me know that what happened was absolutely awful, which is very kind of them but it does not change my experience.
