My husband picked the vegan curry tofu ramen, my future brother-in-law picked the spicy wonton ramen, and my sister picked the wild pepper ramen. Everyone loved theirs! I had dental work last week so I've been cautious of what I can eat so I picked just the miso broth with noodles and added a side of egg and a side of the beef shank. The beef shank was able to be cut with a plastic spoon with how tender and delicious it was. The eggs were perfectly gooey in the middle, and the broth was exceptional. She politely asked if we needed menus, but I declined since we already knew exactly what we wanted. We've had this same exchange with May quite a few times during our recent visits. We ordered our usual: the Sushi for Two, which comes with two specialty rolls and 18 pieces of sushi. Tonight we chose the Dozo Dozo and the Futomaki Special rolls. The meal also comes with either soup or salad, and tonight we both chose the soup. That's how much we love this dish. We had just returned from a two-week trip to South Florida this past Saturday, and the very next day--Sunday--we came here and ordered the exact same meal. And here we are again tonight doing the same. This restaurant consistently serves some of the freshest, premium-quality fish around. Tonight's 18 pieces included bluefin tuna, O-toro, king salmon, scallops, sea bass, red snapper, fluke, yellowtail, and Spanish mackerel. Every piece was tender and incredibly fresh. Yes, the price reflects the quality--but you absolutely get what you pay for. In my experience, there are not many sushi restaurants on Long Island that consistently serve fish of this caliber. The Sweetheart Roll was a solid pick too, with a good balance of tempura, crab, and the smoked salmon/cooked shrimp on top.
