Food was good . The pizza here is very filling. The service was great. Atmosphere was good as well. Would recommend to anybody.

One excellent pizza, one above-average pizza, two awful pizzas. Seems like the cheapest pizza around but when you consider the size and the paper-thin crust, there's not much of a deal here. The round white pizza has the best ratio of dough to cheese that any of my family had ever encountered in NEPA. Including Old Forge mainstays. A lot of other places use so much cheese that the end product is kind of grotesque. Nardozzi's is a five-star specialty however you slice it. It's almost like they started with a quesadilla and decided to make an Italian version of it. A must-try. The next is Peggy's Tomato Pie which is like a grandma's pizza, coal-miner's pizza, whatever you want to call it. It's just sauce on crust with very little cheese sprinkled. I like their sauce here and it works well with the thin crust. For ten bucks--sure! Quality drops off dramatically from there. The "chicken pizza" description claimed it contained their baked wing bites sliced onto the pizza. In actuality, it was awful-quality frozen breaded chicken cut into little chunks and splattered onto thin crust with an offensive amount of wing sauce. Just embarrassing, couldn't eat more than a piece of it. The 14" large pizza with sausage and peppers was also bad. Peppers were obviously many days past their prime and the sausage was tasteless. It was absolutely the least flavorful sausage and pepper pizza I've ever had. Again, couldn't eat more than a piece of it. For anything classic red, the thin crust doesn't really do it any favors. In conclusion, yeah, it's definitely a full-service pizzeria but they're cutting way too many corners, mainly on toppings, to be worth a return order. read more

Decided to try the 2 large tray special on a Wednesday night for my first visit. Walking in, it wasn't what I was expecting. The shop is very small and quaint, the machine that rolls out the pizza dough is right at the doorway behind the counter you pay at. They have great prices as well for different menu items. The reason for my 3 stars is the pizza quality. Now hear me out, I know that it's all homeade, you can taste and see that right away. It's amazing in flavor, however, it's not the best. The pies are as small as a medium that you would get anywhere else. (Good thing I ordered two, I ate a whole one by myself!) The crust is very unique. It's extremely thin and felt like I was eating a big pizza "crisp". It was tasty, like I said before, the flavor is there, but I couldn't get past the textures. If you're looking for a quick pie at a reasonable price, then give it a try. But if your used to a nice, thick, doughy crust with lots of cheese, you won't find that here, order from somewhere else. read more

If you ever wanted to see what a pizza place looked like in the 50's, this place is a good example of an old time shop. Small menu and quality food, doing what they do best. The red pizza is crispy, has a perfect blend of sauce and cheese and tastes great. The double crust white (round, not square like Old Forge style) has a perfect blend of dough, cheese and spices. You can't do it any better than this. The only other item I've had here is the wing bites. Not great, but really good. I have yet to try a calzone because we just love the pizza so much, so maybe some day. For now, it's a large white and red to go and it satisfies us 100%. I'd like to give this place 4.5 stars, but they deserve 5 for being a fixture on Blakely Street for half a century. A real testament to their quality and delicious pizza. read more

It has a unique taste that cannot be replicated, and every component is excellent and so flavorful. I ran across this pizza joint nardozzis by accident and im so happy i did.. ive only tried the plain pizza and its out of this world!! I like thin crust, you may not. The way they do the cheese and sauce its not overloaded so therefore its not greasy! I got to actually taste the sauce and cheese. In my eyes this is a perfect pizza and its making my mouth water thinking about it! Also the owner was a really nice lady and im glad i got to speak to her! this is an old building and they have been there since the late 60's so dont be fast to judge!! I do my best to support local small businesses, but I also think they should work to earn their support from the local community. I also rarely give one star to any restaurant unless they really did something exceptionally disappointing to me: Wednesday evening I placed a Pickup order on Grubhub: 14" pie and half pound chicken bites. Walked in there as the expected time of arrival to pick it up. Surprised to find out that I placed a Delivery order, and was rushed out the door by the only guy who worked there. According to him, some Grubhub driver will deliver it to my doorstep. And if I wanted a pickup order, I could only call him and not go through Grubhub. As there were two other customers also waiting in line, and he was the only working person in the restaurant, I did not want to embarrass him or cause a scene by pulling out my phone, and show him the email confirmation sent by Grubhub that my order was actually for pickup. So I walked home empty handed, and checked my Grubub again: now my order status showed that my order "has been picked up." Unsure of what happed, I called the restaurant immediately and asked if my order has been picked up. The same guy answered the phone, and claimed that no driver ever showed up to pick up my order, and that he "kept hitting the button trying to send out my order." So I ended up going back there again, and picked up the order myself. Here is my two cents: if you don't know how Grubhub works, don't pretend that you do, or think everyone else doesn't either. By the way, after all this, the food quality isn't that great either. The chicken was over cooked and very hard to chew, and the pizza looked worse than some frozen pizza I could have baked myself. Nardozzi's is my favorite pizza in NEPA. Of course, it's easy to say that being I grew up a few blocks away! It's consistently good and what pizza should taste like. You know it's the perfect pie (or tray!) when you don't need any toppings or seasonings. The crust is thin, crispy, and light. The sauce is perfectly seasoned. The style is akin to other local pizza places such as Grotto or Sabatini's. One time I accidentally ordered the double crust white pizza and it was a beautiful mistake. They only use mozzarella cheese---no American cheese fillers like many other pizza shops in the area do. I get that it's a regional thing, but I prefer mozzarella cheese on my pizza only! Was passing through town and heard good things about this place. I think the people who told me were drunk. Place is filthy. Employees, same. Horrible service. Pizza was rancid. I wish they still had Proferra's. I'd take that any day over this dump. I'd eat spoiled eggs over this rancid crap any day. Great pizza! A tiny family run little take-out spot located in my hometown. The pizzas are thin, round and saucy. They run a special that offers two for around $15. A reference point for those unfamiliar might be that they taste similar to Grotto Pizza but I think they are way better than Grotto. read more

Nardozzi serves a great pizza, at a great price. The crust is perfect thickness, the sauce is flavorful not too sweet, the cheese is quality, hand-tossed and assembled the old fashioned way. The seasoned ovens provide the best flavor and texture. All that and the price can put most competitors to shame. read more
