Had a great experience buying a sofa and armchair from Nardone Brothers. Their showroom has a nice selection and Steve was friendly and helpful but unobtrusive, which I appreciated. We found a sofa and armchair in a classic design for a very reasonable price. Delivery was free and they did a great job communicating. This store is a true hidden gem in the great city of Peekskill, NY. This is my second time purchasing furniture from Nardone Bros Furniture. Their one on one attention is incredible. We discussed our needs for our new sectional, what size, what color, what texture was best for us. They worked with me on when to deliver the furniture and they were very attentive upon the delivery to make sure that things fit perfectly for us. Incredible service. We needed a large sectional for our living room. As we discussed the area of our living room they had concerns of the size of the sectional. They personally came over and measured out the doorway and living room to make sure everything fit. They are a Ashley furniture seller so you can get anything from their site ordered there. After shopping around some big box stores, I decided to give Nardone Brothers a try. I'm sure glad I did. I'm glad that I didn't settle for less than I was looking for. I wanted a small sofa with clean lines and a modern feel. I found exactly what I wanted as soon as I walked in the door. The owner was very nice and friendly and was there to help whenever I had a question but didn't pressure me or follow me around. I really liked and appreciate how they do business. The store was very clean and they have a good selection of living room and bedroom furniture. After picking out what we wanted, we placed our order, which arrived on time about 10 days later. The delivery guys were very friendly and professional. The furniture was wrapped nicely and they set everything up beautifully. I've used this family owned and operated business since coming to Peekskill. I've purchased a number of items there most recently, a rocker recliner, a click clack convertible bed and end tables. They have always been friendly and personable. First, I want to start by saying that I don't normally write reviews for businesses...in fact, this is the very first Yelp review I ever wrote. But I was so pleasantly surprised by the experience, I thought I owed it to them to write a great review...they certainly earned it!! I visited Nardone Bros. Furniture last Thursday (12/29/2016) to look for a new recliner for my living room. I planned on shopping around and made a list of all the furniture stores in the area. Nardone was my first stop. Upon entering the store, I was immediately taken by the deceptively large showroom (the store looked smaller on the outside). They had such a wonderful quality selection of everything from bedroom sets to living room sets to dining room and kitchen furniture. I was immediately greeted by Steve, one of the owners' sons. He was so sweet and courteous. I told him what I was looking for and he stayed with me to help me find the perfect piece. He was kind, knew his inventory backwards and forwards, and was a pleasure to deal with. He was never pushy and answered all of my questions with a smile. I fell in love with an electric Ashley recliner and he gave me a great price and even included free delivery and set up in my home! I told him that I still wanted to look at other stores, as I wasn't really looking for electric (ie, I wanted something in a less expensive price range), and I would come back if I couldn't find anything. He told me he could get me the same model recliner in manual if I wanted, which would put it in my price range, but I told him I still wanted to look at other stores and weigh my options. He had no problem with that (which speaks volumes because most other salesmen would give you an attitude at that point...as if you had just wasted their time) and told me he would be there until 5:00 pm if I wanted to come back. I went to two other national chain stores in the area: one of them didn't have much of a selection and the other one, the salesman didn't seem to want to be bothered helping me. After he finally asked what I was looking for (I had already found it WITHOUT his help), he quoted me a higher price for the same recliner I saw at Nardone Bros., PLUS a delivery charge, even though this store was closer to my house. Needless to say, I went back to see Steve at Nardone, not JUST because his price was better, but because I was so impressed by his level of service and courteousness. I pestered him with a bunch more questions (which he still answered patiently and with a smile), including asking him if he could deliver it by the following Tuesday, and he gladly offered to deliver on Saturday afternoon (two days after the purchase and on New Year's Eve to boot!). Steve's brother and son (Steve Jr.) delivered the chair, right on schedule...on Saturday at 3:00 PM. They set it up and showed me how to use the backup battery power. They were just as nice as Steve was (I guess it runs in their family). They even threw in the backup battery pack for free! I know I might sound a little old fashioned, but there is something to be said for the service and care that can only be provided by a small family-run/owned business. I will DEFINITELY come back when I need any other furniture. They made me feel like a part of their family, that's how well they treated me. I will certainly recommend Nardone to everyone I know. I had a great experience at Nardone Bros Furniture. After shopping around at various places for a sofa (Bob's, Brandon, Freight Liquidators, Jennifer) I came into this store not expecting much. I never felt pressured, had a great conversation with the owner, found a couch and was very surprised at the inexpensive price. Excellent customer service, delivery was exactly a week from my order and delivered by the owner and a helper. Nothing damaged -all great. I recommend buying from this store very highly. read more
