Pre-sale, the owner is Superman, his crew can do everything and he has extensive experience with renovating older structures. Dunrite did not do electrical work to code, made contractual changes without change orders and issued change orders after performing work. CO pricing was outrageous. Work is amateurish at best, in violation of electrical code. Dunrite disconnected a portion of our heating system to perform modifications and hooked the zone back up in a loop - disconnected from the furnace. Called to have them fix it and his voicemail box is full.

They started the project on time and finished ahead of schedule. The crew showed up at 7:00am most days and even put in a few Saturdays. The crew was neat and considerate of our needs (hey, a few weeks without a kitchen isn't easy, even with a great team, but they were pleasant and tried to make it as painless and quick as possible). Also, for many years, I'd wanted to replace my decaying deck. Ashley K&B came back a week later to do a total take down and rebuild of our deck. It's beautiful! And solid. I only wish I'd hired them sooner. They were quick, but Fall was quicker. I may not get to fully enjoy my outdoor space until next Spring, but we're very much looking forward to it.

Bobby was upfront about the estimates and was in constant contact with us. He made himself available for all our questions and concerns, especially about the state of our roof - which needed help. His crew did incredible work, they were swift and efficient and extremely polite. They cleaned up and removed all debris and packing materials. We had a new born and a disabled child to care for so we wanted to get the project done asap. He collected our payments on schedule, as specified on our contract, but the work was not getting done on schedule. He kept making up excuses why he couldn't complete the work. After a while he basically went in hiding, we reached out to his secretary Liz, who gave us some bs, stating she couldn't get in touch with him either. Long story short, we had to find another contractor to complete the project and then sued Dunrite for the incompleted portions. We won the case but he still has not paid the judgment. Stay away from this guy.

He got very abrasive over basic questions relating to project timeline and completion, and seems to not really appreciate the role of the homeowner during a renovation. HIs painting was fine - not spectacular, but nonetheless solid. In an economy like this one customer service goes a long way to solidifying long term relationships and Zdenek clearly had very little interest pleasing his clients. Frankly, if it wouldn't have slowed the process down we would have moved on from working with him mid-project because of his behavior and gone with our runner up who was a bit more expensive but a heck of a lot more pleasant to work with. Kurt was a breathe of fresh air by comparison, and I would work with him again in a heartbeat - just not so long as he is associated with this company.

Not only were they about $1,000 less expensive than the other companies we looked at, they were very friendly and accommodating. When our kitchen cabinets and our master bathroom vanity were installed and it was time for the countertops, they were able to come measure, and create the perfect countertops in less than a week! And I say perfect countertops because everything was AMAZING! They were able to cut one piece to fit around the corner!! Everything fit exactly to measurements! And they even matched up the veins in the quartz so that it looks like it flows from the island across to the wall cabinets! But the master vanity is the most incredible of all. We ordered a backsplash with it for the 2 sides with a wall, and they surprised us by matching the backsplash piece to exactly match the countertop in terms of the stone's patterns!!! We have been in the home improvement business for over 40 years and have never seen that kind of perfectly matching stone before! We HIGHLY recommend using Putnam Granite & Stone Fabrication, Inc at 100 Buckshollow Rd in Mahopac, NY!
