We had them get rid of some Bob's garbage furniture that LITTERALLY Started to fall apart from the day we got it. I'm writing this review while sitting in my new chair for the first time..and it's sooooo comfy! I love it. The delivery took a bit longer then I wanted..but that was a wear house issue..but was worth the wait. The delivery team was fast, professional, respectfully, and efficient. I've been going to Freight Liquidators for years now. Both Dom sr. and Dom jr. make me feel like a part of the family from the beginning of my experience to the delivery and install. Originally from Cortlandt, I was living out in Long Island for college and was in desperate need of a quality firm mattress due to some back problems that I had been experiencing for years. I came home for a week long semester break, and stopped by the store. Dom went out of his way to let me try out multiple mattresses that not only were on display but he went into his stock in the back and pulled out some more options for me to try out to make sure I was making the right choice with comfort, and in price range (I made sure he knew I was a poor college student). After I felt really confident that I had made the right choice, I told Dom that the only problem was a 2 hour drive out to Stony Brook LI. He was able to not only make sure that I would have the mattress before heading back for school, but he came in early on that Sunday to help me secure the mattress on the top of my car with a ton of rope and ties. Made it to out to school with no problems, and have been sleeping like a baby ever since. We walked in the location 30 minutes before they closed for the evening. Unfortunately our renovations are going on while we work and live in another state. Between work and rushing back and forth it has been bonkers. Dave was patient and kind. We picked out hard wood floors throughout two floors of our place. We caught the president's weekend sale which was a happy accident and very appreciated. The installation went fantastic and we are 100% satisfied from start to finish. Being new to Yelp I'm going to write a review and be honest that this was 2 years ago. I had just bought my house and needed to replace the basement family room carpet. I called that 1-800 Empire and the salesman gave me quote that made my eyes almost pop out of my head. As this salesman is talking to me about extra costs for this and that I look down on my coffee table and see an ad for this place. After salesman left I drove down and saw similar carpet at the store. I spoke to Dom Jr and he gives me a quote for 1/3 of the 1-800 guy! A few days later his guys show up, ripped out the old carpet and installed the new. Great job, great price, nice guys. read more

Ordered couch and chair and was told they would be in within a week (on a Thursday) - Dominick was salesperson - nice guy - Thursday morning I call only to be told only chair was there - couch was going to be another week?? It would have been nice to have gotten a call prior to Thursday letting us know this as I had arranged for my old furniture to be taken away the same day! Lousy customer service - prices are good but not worth all the hassle to me - would pay a little more at a more reputable store for accurate delivery information and communication. read more

Quality of furniture was good once it finally arrived. Ordered a full bedroom set and it took over 5 months to arrive and not damaged. The first arrival of furniture had the headboard damaged and missing pieces on the knobs of the dresser. I took photos of the damage and contacted them right away in July. I was told 2-4 weeks it would take to receive my undamaged furniture. It ended up taking 5 months. I kept getting the run around from Tony and junior. Typical snake oil salesman. Once they get your money they don't care. Long story short you get what you pay for from the middle man. Ashley furniture was good but service was terrible. My wife and I had purchased a sofa from Dominick a few years back and were so happy with the entire experience, we went back to him to replace the carpeting in our 1200 sq. foot basement with "wood" vinyl flooring. I don't think we know anyone who works as hard as Dominick to be sure you are 100% satisfied. He does not pressure you. He enthusiastically partners with you to help your vision become a reality at a cost you can afford. He personally came to our home to do the measurements and helped us select the perfect color and texture vinyl plank flooring...all at an incredible price. His awesome crew removed the rug, treated the concrete floor and laid the planking in half the time we expected. They were very polite and so meticulous. We love the floor and our family and friends can't believe how beautiful it looks! Salesperson very knowledgeable, love couch that got!!! One thing not happy about, was charged twice on my card, it's been over a month and still have not gotten back the money!! Sales process was fine, but installation process was a nightmare. I purchased furniture, as well as carpeting and hard wood flooring for the entire house. First they sent the wrong flooring materials to our house, and the furniture was damaged. Then after they replaced the materials, they sent the wrong quantity (not enough flooring). It took weeks to get everything installed, and each time a different team showed up. Each time the workers said they didn't like picking up in the middle from someone else's job. The first team was very professional, and all the other crews just wanted to get out of the house. They didn't finish any of the trim work, didn't staple carpet in closets, didn't install transitions between rooms. Every time I had to call Freight and chase them to send someone out to finish the job. I got tired of Freight promising they would send someone to finish the details, so I hired a carpenter to do it right. And Freight never came out to even inspect the work or see what was not completed, and I only live 5 minutes from the store. read more
