The hamburgers here are incredible. I wasn't that hungry so I ordered the kids size version of the "Ford." It was cooked perfectly and had tons of flavor. I will definitely eat here again. My husband had a French dip and it was just ok. Naps is known for their burgers...I'd stay with that. read more

Super nice staff and very helpful when ordering AND cleared off a table super quick for us so that we could snag it (as they were hoppin' busy on Sunday afternoon) It's a little hard to find just because it's not on the main street but the signage is easy to follow. Amazing burgers and like I said best philly cheese steak in the bitterroot. It's not very big and doesn't hold a ton of customers so you may have to get your order to go if that's the case BUT still worth the experience. read more

I've had Naps a few times and it's definitely the place to go in town when you want a burger. Today it was just OK, nothing incredible. We got the Ford burger and it wasn't the best burger but it wasn't the worst. A little dry for being a bacon and bbq burger. The fries are really good and the onion rings are average. We stopped at Nap's while visiting my husband's parents. I thought that food was okay, but my in-laws have returned multiple times, and my husband enjoyed it! I got a Cobb Salad because my stomach wasn't feeling well when we visited, and it was definitely a quality salad with plenty of toppings. I did feel that the price ($12.75 for the whole salad as opposed to the half) was a little hefty, especially because it was only a dollar cheaper than my husband's giant Rockefeller burger. My family all got burgers -- The Ford and 2 Rockefellers, and those were a hit with them. The Garlic Parm Cheese Fries were also loved by my family, and they looked amazing! If you like garlic and Parmesan, stop by to get these fries. I don't think I've seen better fries, and you get a decent portion for $4.75. It was pretty busy when we arrived around lunch time on a weekend, but nevertheless, service was fast. I think everyone ordered within 5 minutes of arriving and then got their food in the next 15-20 minutes, which I think is a very reasonable wait (you order at a counter and then pick your food up at the counter when they call your ticket number). I think my favorite part of Nap's was its rustic decor. They have a wall covered in unique license plates -- that's pretty cool. Overall just a nice place -- not my favorite, but I wouldn't discourage anyone from visiting! read more

Service was good and wait staff very polite. My charbroiled chicken sandwich was some kind of gristly mystery meat. I took my sandwich back to the staff to return it to the chef. I never heard from them again. I was very disappointed and will never return. read more

Naps is located in downtown Hamilton Montana. I visited on September 3 at noon it was very packed and I ordered the 6 ounce burger well done with mushrooms pepper jack cheese with a drink and fries. The food came out fairly quickly and it was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. I had a little frog celebrity with me who was not doing well on the trip and the lady at the front counter offered me a free cup of ice for him and now he is riding the rest of the trip in comfort thanks to her. Five stars from me for naps and five stars and aribbet from splat the frog! read more

We stopped in on a Thursday night after a hike in the Bitterroot and we were starving. I think half the population of Hamilton was in the restaurant. It has an extensive sandwich menu with not only hamburgers but chicken, prime rib, grilled cheese, and so on. I got the 12oz burger with fries. I received it quickly despite the crowd. It was prepared exactly as ordered and it was delicious and HUGE! If you are hungry and want to chow down on the biggest, best burger you have ever had, stop in. This used to be a cool place with great burgers when it was in the old location. But now it is trendy and overpriced. We stopped for dinner the other night after a basketball game but ended up turning around and walking out before ordering. The sidewalk outside the door was crowded with smokers, and none of the customers inside were wearing masks (seated and in line) during the mandate. The kids at the counter were all wearing masks but the clientele was just too gross. So we decided to spend our discretionary income in a county where people seem a little more sensible. read more

My wife and I went to the bar area at Nap's, and had dinner and drinks. Bartenders were terrific. We both had the 8 ounce hamburgers with fries and they were outstanding. So apparently this is the "Go To" restaurant in Hamilton. My boss said if you have people in from out of town, you always take them to Nap's. While I appreciated the decent Belvedere martini, the burger was mediocre for me. The place is divided in two areas. The main area is order at the counter type service. Then there is the bar area where you can order from the full menu. We opted to sit at the bar. I was happy they had Belvedere and went with a straight up martini with a twist. The bartender did a good job so kudos to her. I opted for the Ford burger which came with cheddar cheese, bbq sauce, bacon and onion rings. The burger was beyond huge. I guess the beef was okay but the whole thing was smothered in bbq sauce, that was all you could taste. The onion rings were soggy because of the excessive BBQ sauce. Cheese was MIA due to the huge amount of sauce. Bacon was there but tasted like....yep....BBQ sauce. The only thing not covered in BBQ sauce were the fries and they were fairly forgettable. Hamilton is a pretty small town so I'm sure the bar for the dining scene is set pretty low. Nap's is okay and might have the best burger in Hamilton but they couldn't compete with anyone outside of Hamilton. read more

We have been going to Nap's for years. The food is always good! The last few times we have been there it hasn't been great. Yesterday we went there for a late lunch and it wasn't busy. Ordered our food and while we were waiting we were taking in the atmosphere. Their new chairs are very uncomfortable. It was very dirty! There was thick dust everywhere from ceiling to floor. All the chairs, tables, doors and windows were greasy and dirty. The cushioned seat benches were all stained. The bathroom was disgusting! While we were waiting for our food they kept calling for a "Mark" "your order is ready". Well, it wasn't "Mark" it was Mary. Finally I went up and asked where my order was and that was it. Sitting on the counter getting cold. The order taker had typed in Mar and they assumed it was Mark. Our burgers & fries were cold and the whole experience was disappointing. It will probably be awhile until we go back and I hope in the meantime they clean up the joint! read more

Ok so I come in here a lot. I always order a burger with extra onions. The server brings out my burger and I ask for more onions and he says " that's literally 3 times the amount we put on there. It was 5 rings of thin onion!!! I did not expect such a callous answer! I expect him to get what I asked for. This was large server with black glasses! Guess I'll go elsewhere now! Ordered a Cobb salad to go, it was ok but the main protein was missing, no bacon. Had to hunt to find the green onions. The mixed drinks were soo watered down it made them undrinkable. The only good thing were the onion rings. It's very apparent that the surveillance cameras are inhibiting the employees and the whole atmosphere is unwelcoming. The food is generally good/great at Naps. Sadly, the service often sucks. The bar area is full service if you can get their attention. Went in yesterday, 12/31/21, about 12:45, got seated in the bar. The place was full. Sodas were ordered and delivered then we placed our meal order. We ordered nothing special, a couple of Naps deals and two salads. About 30 minutes later having seen several tables that ordered after us get their food we asked the waiter about it. He 'went to check' and came back telling us the order was 'lost somewhere in the kitchen' and that he would comp our drinks (you know, the drinks that come with the meal). Another 30 minutes goes by, now an hour after ordering, and we have had zero attention from our waiter and now people who came in after us have gotten their food, left and other sets have come in, ordered and gotten their food. Having been unable to get our waiter's attention, I went to the counter to inquire. While in the middle of trying to describe the situation to the young gal at the register, a guy from the kitchen, I assumed he was the shift manager, interrupts me without really knowing what was going on, to say in a very loud voice, "Hey, it takes time and we're really busy Bro." Seriously lit me off. We left without our food. 100% the waiter forgot to place our order, then stopped checking on us leaving us to inquire about our food at the counter, only to be told by the kitchen staff that they're "really busy Bro." Such a giant disappointment compared to the original owners and their level of personal service. So if you want a decent burger, just get it on the non-service side or get it to go. read more

We stopped here, because everyone on Yelp kept saying how good it was. It was good, with a few exceptions... You ordered at the counter, no big deal, for 2 combo meals, 2 burgers, 2 drinks, 1 fry & 1 onion rings came to a total of $38.50. Big money. Then we had to wait for a table to open up, before someone else snagged it. People are fierce here. They call your name when the food is ready, but then you have to get what you want on it. Like Fuddruckers, that part I didn't like. Lettuce, onions, tomato, pickles & all the sauces. What we got was the black & bleu, hamburger w/blue cheese, bacon & carmelized onions. Half the burger was good, after that, was just way to much. Also, we didn't like how messy it was, to eat it, you at least need 10-12 napkins. I can see why the majority of reviews are for burgers. I decided to go off script and ordered a steak. Next time, I will listen to the reviews. I ordered my steak medium and it was much closer to medium rare and in some places even rare. They didn't have the mashed potatoes so I got stuck with fries and they were nothing to write home allot. The mandarin salad served with it needed more dressing. I learned my lesson and will listen to the yelpers who ventured before me. read more

Very unpleasant atmosphere. Waitress were slow and very closed to answer basic questions. The locals were definitely taken care of promptly, and greeted with smiles. We noticed a trend with the employees knowing we and other guests that were not local were not welcome.
