Hit it again on Dec 12 and am happy to see that they have spruced it up a bit. Clean walls, decorative posters and photos and fixed the ventilation system so is no longer full of smoke. Very unpleasant atmosphere. Waitress were slow and very closed to answer basic questions. The locals were definitely taken care of promptly, and greeted with smiles. We noticed a trend with the employees knowing we and other guests that were not local were not welcome. Very disappointed in the hype this place was given but was greeted with a very different experience. My company along with its employees will not be attending Nap's in the future. read more

Great burgers. The ford is my favorite. Kids love the fries. Restaurant is a little small for how busy it can get but seats seem to turn over fairly quickly. We make the 1 hour drive from Missoula just to eat here. read more

The bacon was done crisp like I don't like, but then these are not mindeaders. The interior has good abience, but is packed and noisy. Lighting is decent with a view of the mountains. Music... I can't tell, the interior is too noisy. If you have the money to blow and want a straight burger joint, this is the place. read more

Nap's used to always be the place that I would take anyone when they visited from out-of-town. Now that I don't live in the area anymore, it IS the place that I like to visit when I'm back-in-town. With that being said, over the years Nap's has lost it's touch. The bottom line here is that the burgers are good. They've always been good, and they will always be good. But owning a restaurant, hell any type of food business and running it successfully is a major feat that Nap's falls short on. Since I've been gone they've changed locations, redone the menu (not that an extensive menu matters anyway because all you should ever order here is a Nap's deal), created some type of secret sauce that mimics the classic in-n-out style spread (don't even try it, it's garbage) and simply put... lost their touch. Nap's is successful, they have built a name for themselves in Hamilton and they will never have to worry about losing money, but for god sake, replace your damn soda machine. Calling out orders doesn't work anymore because your building is now three times the size and always busy. But my biggest gripe is that your food is no longer consistent. Get a chef, pay them better and get your touch back. read more

Horrible place. They don't care about the retired and immunocompromised that live in Hamilton. They aren't doing a thing to help keep the Covid cases low. They are allowing people to sit at the bar (not allowed in phase one) and there is no social distancing practices at all. We went there for some to go food which we called in for and left once we saw how they were running their business. I am also calling the make a complaint with the state. Been coming here for years. We always get a Nap's Deal (3/4 pound burger with fries and a drink). It is phenomenal. However, my husband decided to branch out and try the chicken cheese steak sandwich. It was OMG amazing!!! And the chocolate malt is yummy. We LOVE Nap's! read more

We started eating at Naps when they were in Missoula and always thought that was one of the best burgers we had ever had. Every trip to Missoula which is a 3 hour trip for us included a meal at Naps. Once they closed that restaurant, we've made several trips to Hamilton to get our Naps fix. Unfortunately have not been there in a few years until last night when we drove down from Missoula. The place was packed and thus we got our burgers to go. First bite and wow, this did not quiet taste like we were expecting. Still a very good burger 10 times better than the crap they serve in Bozeman, but, the burger seemed to lack some seasoning or something that made it not have that Naps taste that we were used to. Fries were delicious and the burgers still very good, just not quiet what we were expecting. read more

If you want a good burger - and want to get what you pay for come to Naps. They offer huge burgers at a good price. 10 bucks for a giant well cooked burger - friendly and efficent service. THE best place to grab a burger outside of Missoula. The bar area is a little pricey for what you get but seems most bars around here are. Liquor is just priced 10 - 20% more in this area and that cost is passed on to the customers (as to be expected). I 100% recommend this place for the quality food. read more

We were passing through town on a Sunday. Most businesses are closed so we found to place with the most cars. The inside was packed. Counter ordering and they call out your name for pickup. To the side of the counter are fresh ingredients to dress the burger. I made the mistake of ordering my burger well. It was a bit dry. My husband ordered his medium rare and was quite happy. The fries are what I would consider frites. I also wanted a side salad with romaine only. We had to ask for the salad after the burgers came out. When it was delivered it was iceberg lettuce. It was on $3 so I did not return it. The interior is nice. There are two sides to the restaurant; full bar and grill side. If we were down for beers the day we went we probably would have liked it a little more. read more

I really enjoy Naps! I'm sure at least part of that is nostalgia for the hometown restaurant that my parents took us to as kids. It's been over 20 years since I've lived in state and probably close to 30 since we started going there. I was back this past December and checked out new place. It's fun to see that they've stood the test of time and even upgraded the location. There are some menu updates from my visits back in the day but they have also stuck true to their roots. I had to get the Nap's deal with a shake for old times sake. It tasted as good as I remember it. As a table, we managed to forget the size of the portions and completely over ordered. The best burger in the Bitterroot valley and one of the best I've ever had! Burgers, sandwiches, steaks and salads. The menu is not complex but they do a damn fine job. Features Montana beef which is always a plus! The only thing is I wish they would be a little more heavy on the burger seasoning but that's my preference. The formula is tried and true so why change it. Sauce and garnish are all on you to put on besides the bacon,grilled onion and mushrooms. Don't pass on those because they are killer!!! Staff is always on point and friendly. Expect a line!!! This is a good thing if a place doesn't have a line then it must not be all the great. I'm going to give a little grace because every business is understaffed due to COVID. But as an out of towner looking at the website, it's very misleading. If you want the experience/atmosphere you see on the website you have to dine in the bar. The bar is not very big and it was packed at 8:00 at night when we were there, so I'm guessing you'd have to have a reservation. Otherwise you go to the other side of the building, stand in a line to order, sit and wait, and when your order is ready your name is called over a microphone. This side is kinda gross as there is constant people coming and going, the tables felt icky, and the burgers were just okay. The Parmesan garlic fries had way too much garlic, and the Parmesan was this weird ribbon cut, plastic tasting, not melted, cheese. The burger condiment bar is an okay idea, but during a pandemic? This side of the restaurant would be okay for takeout, but it felt like just another fast food joint. read more

We've been visiting Hamilton for years and every trip has included at least one lunch at Nap's. While the new location gives a much more modern and hip feel to the restaurant, the burgers are the same: expertly cooked with quality meat and ingredients, with options for some really tasty flavor combinations courtesy of the specialty burgers. There is currently, thanks to the new location, a lot of interest in Nap's that has led to rather excessive crowds. Our burgers took about an hour to come out to us, but we were warned by the staff and so came early in preparation. And trust me, the burgers are worth the wait! read more

Amazing place in the Bitterroot Valley. The location is pleasant to enjoy dining in. There is a customer jam between the burger pick up and the drink dispenser. It was an issue when I was there. As I mentioned the crowded area, I was told it was a Nap's tradition to get jammed at the burger pick up and soft drink fill up. I had the special with bacon and bleu cheese. A delicious burger served by a friendly staff. In my opinion, it's a treat. Despite the burger/soft drink jam up, you should give this place a visit. Update: 20 Feb 2018 Again, I was impressed with a tasked staff. They successfully handled orders and produced a delicious burger. What I was most impressed with was the professionalism with the managerial staff. They exhibited leadership and I was happy to be part of watching it all unfold. This place is amazing.
