I think the burger is locally sourced, but I can't swear to it. There are some great cattle ranches in the area. The downtown area of Hamilton is beautiful, but parking can be an issue. OMG! I am here visiting for work and the hotel receptionist recommended this place for burgers. I ordered the 6oz burger, added blue cheese, bacon, and mushrooms. This is by far one of the best burgers I've had and I love burgers. MOF I would say this place is second to Twisted Root. I have yet to find a place that tops them, but back to Naps. This place was so good I decided to go back two days later and I ordered the Philly. That was delicious as well, a little salty but I ate every bit of it! Nothing a little glass of wine can't handle! Great place for burgers, beer and mixed drinks. Customer service was very good. Very attentive. Hubby and I split the Rockefeller burger, green chili peppers, fresh cut jalapeños, pepper jack cheese, chipotle aoli sauce and jalapeño bun. The beer battered onion rings were delish. They also have chicken sandwiches and salads and a variety of mules to choose from. We got the Huckleberry mule and it was very refreshing. It's a little loud, but that's ok. Excellent burger in a small town of Hamilton, MT. Came in town for a business meeting and stopped by here for lunch per recommendation from our colleague who lives at Missoula. I ordered the Nap's Deal with a combo. It comes with 3/4 lb Burger and I added extra $2 for sweet potato fries. Everybody like their choices of Burger in my small party of four. By the way, you choose your own ingredients (lettuce, tomato, onion, sweet pepper, jalapeño, etc.) and sauces to go with the burger and grilled butter buns. Wow! What an incredible burger, easily one of the best I've ever had. After hiking near Lake Cuomo, I visited Nap's, and I am so thankful for our breakfast waiter's recommendation. It's a must-stop if south of Missoula. The bar is on the side of the restaurant, but you still order at the restaurant counter. The process is smooth, and at the time (COVID), you had to retrieve your burger, but it was effortless. The sidebar isn't a large space but has several high top tables with bench backs/stools and some lower dining tables. There is a loft, but it was closed due to COVID. The actual bar sits in the west wall center and has a bright, glossy wood bar top with no rail. The bar face is dark black to match the back bar and has a taller-than-normal square steel footrest. COVID limited seating at the bar to six stools that had wooden slats for seating and back support. The back bar contains bottle shelves and HDTVs. Next to the bar is a terrific uneven log wall that is a perfect complement to the bar, flooring, and steel infrastructure. There is a solid beer menu with enough beers to make most happy. But the reason to stop is the burger. They are out of this world. Fast service with a smile cements this place as five stars. Cannot wait to be back and have one of their mouth-watering burgers and a few beers. read more

Great food and service! We were walking around the old part of town and caught the whiff of grilled burgers/meat. We tracked it down to Nap's. This place was awesome! The wings are very good and the burgers are solid! They season their burger patties, and cook to temp, or pretty close lol. Overall very solid and will return. That's one of the best hamburgers I've ever had! Giant, and I loved the fact that they had a toppings bar so you could fix it the way you want it. The fries and the onion rings were really yummy and a huge portion. My husband ordered the French dip sandwich and it was very good. When we walked by the front door, the smell of burgers and the grill was adamant and instantly made us hungry. There were 4 of us in our party. We placed our order and when our food arrived, things were wrong. As we mentioned it to the staff, they were just lost. There was no effort to fix anything, but just a lost look in gals eyes. This has to be training issues with new employees because I can't believe how you can get 3 orders wrong. Cheese on 1/2 burger with burger cut in half to share didn't happen Order of onion rings ended up being French fries - wouldn't bring onion rings as ordered Rib-eye- the most expensive item on the menu was a sirloin. Hmmm But, aside from the many hiccups that we experienced, you can tell that this could be a great spot. The burger was very flavorful and fresh. I can't really judge the rib-eye that I ordered since I never got it. So, if you check this place out, stick to the burgers, the "rib-eye" isn't worth the $36 charge read more

We have been to Nap's twice within the last week. First visit we both got burgers/fries and a cocktail. Burgers were great--cooked perfectly, good quality ingredients. Second time we got one burger and a chicken philly sandwich, which was fine but unremarkable. We sat at the bar both visits and were served by the same bartender each time. He was a bit disappointing. Had no idea how to make the cocktail I ordered even though it was their featured drink on the menu. I had to send it back as it was way off on ingredients the first time. Second version was barely better but didn't want to reject it twice. He also was overall rather unattentive, leaving everyone's empty plates for too long, not around when we were ready to pay, etc. Overall, burgers and fries are excellent, worth the visit. Stick with beer or wine and maybe grab a table rather than the bar. read more

Our third visit to Naps. We were looking forward to our drinks and meal after a long day. We sat in the bar area as we have in the past. We had two waitresses serving us. The young waitress was very friendly and attentive and brought us our drinks quickly. We ordered wings which were good. Drinks were good. The old waitress with a big black tank top on took our food order. Our food was delivered from the kitchen. The steak on the steak sandwich was 4" long on an 8" hoagie roll-was going to deal with it. I was barely able to cut the steak with a knife. The mandarin salad had no dressing and no flavor. As the older waitress walked by I politely asked for some dressing for the salad as it was not dressed. She shook her head and snubbed me-we never got dressing for the salad so I asked the younger waitress to take it off our bill as it was inedible. I found out that she asked permission from the manager to take the salad off of our bill. Never did the manager come over and ask what was wrong or inquire about our request. I found the manager and told him that the drinks and wings were good but the steak was almost inedible as well as our experience with the waitress about the salad. He seemed disinterested and not apologetic. We will NOT be returning. I rarely, if ever give a bad review. This was well deserved. read more

I've heard stories about this place and they all fall short to describe how deliciously amazing the burgers are! The place: Nap's grill is a little bit fancier than other burger restaurants. They have a nice dining area with a window counter seating. There is a bar seating area with a nice selection of drinks and spirits. It is a nice clean place, I had to use their restroom and it it was decent. The food: Even though they are famous by their burgers, the menu also offers sandwiches, salads, steaks, chicken and all sort of sides and additions for burgers and sandwiches. I got the "Naps deal" -Honestly, I don't remember how many oz. and I added on bacon. Burgers come with a side of sweet potatoes or regular fries. Food came out 10 minutes or less after we ordered. We pick up the burgers and I was scared! The burgers were big! And they had so much beef! There is a station next t where you pick the burgers and you can put your own sauces and veggies. I like the concept! There was no way I could eat this whole burger! But I ate as most as I could and enjoyed every bite. The seasoning in the burger patty was just awesome! I've never had such a flavorful burger in my life. The bacon was delicious as well, nicely cooked and juicy. I also had a "Strawberry shake" and it was delicious! Really thick and rich! I also think prices of food were reasonable, you get so much food! And the quality of the burger patty is great! The service: Service was great! Nice young staff. By far one of the best burgers I've ever had. One of the only places you can go where they will cook it to the exact degree you want. Medium is medium, rare is rare, well done is well done. The name makes sense, you'll want a nap after taking on one of their burgers. While Nap's is in a county with mandated mask and serious COVID-related restrictions, it was jarring to see there was no precaution. Tables were not properly distanced. Bartenders did not wear masks. Patrons were not required to wear masks when ordering or walking about the restaurant. Very disappointing. read more

Finding a good restaurant this deep in the Bitterroot was not an easy feat, but Naps definitely impressed us when we stopped for dinner. I saw multiple reviews for this place as having an incredible burger. Parking is not a challenge on the cute little Main street in Hamilton. The street is filled with local boutique shops that we wondered into and bought a few souvenirs from. We opened up the door and stepped into what seemed like the most crowded place in the city! Every booth was filled and there was a line for the register to place an order. Things moved quickly and in no time we were up front ready to place our order. I ordered the reasonably priced half pound burger with a handful of extras (avocado, cheese, bourbon glazed grilled onions) that might have been a bit pricey but definitely worth it. It was delicious. It was a really solid burger that hit the spot and made me quite happy with the choice to come here. The fries were a bit disappointing as they were definitely too greasy for my taste (like they came out still wet and served that way). So everything felt a little soggy whereas I like my fries a little crispier. We also tried the old fashioned chocolate shake and it was done to perfection. Driving through Bitterroot and looking for a spot to stop for a bite, look no further than Naps. It was a haven of good food in a place where good food might be difficult to find. read more
