Went to Napleton in Arlington Heights on Dundee Road to purchase a car we got there spoke to Jerry, he cut us a deal told us we had to wait to get into financing, waited two hours...Jerry grabbed his coat half hour later another guy came and told us, jerry went home & that the car was sold to someone else.... these guys are Scum bags. Never buy from them. Go to CarMax. We recently bought a car from them. We saw the same make model car with approximate same milage and usage for almost same price at CarMax, but we would have had to pay a couple hundred dollars for a transfer. That is exactly what we should have done in hindsight, but instead, we went to Napleton. Our experience with Napleton went like this: 1. The price online was different than when we walked in. We were told that they had to compete with online pricing to get us in the door and that the sticker price was what they were selling it for. It was nearly $1,000 more. 2. When we told them that we were only going to pay what it was listed for online and they couldn't bait and switch us, they agreed to online price but then tried to tack on hundreds of dollars for "cleaning fee" and "inspection fee." Our response was that those are things they simply have to do to resell cars and they couldn't pass that onto consumers as additional fees. It's the cost of doing business. 3. They then tried to sneak in $800 gap insurance after we repeatedly and explicitly said that we wanted no added warranties or insurance. They tried to lie and say it was already wrapped into price of car, but I found the individual charge in the paperwork. Lies. 4. After we got car home, I found the license of the former owner in the car, along with garbage (so no really cleaning anyway) and we noticed all of the fluids were low. So we took the car to two different places for inspection, tune up, and oil change - Mazda of Orland Park and an independent mechanic in Oak Lawn - and at both places, they said that the two front tires and tie rod needed to be replaced immediately as they were unfit for the road. I tried calling Napleton and they would only offer me a discount on service for repair. I told them to buzz off. We had Mazda of Orland Park do the work because I have kids and I do not trust Napleton to do anything competently. So heed my warning: Do not buy anything from Napleton, specifically, Napleton's Arlington Subaru Mazda. Our previous two cars were from CarMax and we had great success there. I wish I had never strayed. Don't make my mistake. read more

They lied to me that they need my SSN to proceed with the deal (anti-terrorist check, etc) and performed the hard pull to my credit history without my approval for this. I would give this place 0 stars is possible. My brother was looking for a used car and having made intensive research online, he had a specific car he wanted to check out at this dealership. The cars were priced online and at the dealership, the car was not being advertising for that price. This place uses false advertisements and lies to get you in the door. They add on "service fees" for the used cars. They up-charge every single used car with bogus "fees." I have never heard of additional fees for service and cleaning for a used car. That is the dealerships problem... The finance manager is completely and utterly rude as well. He was yelling at my family in the rudest tone and arguing with us. We just left after that. These people need to learn how to be somewhat decent people to be in this type of business. I have no idea how this place is still open. read more

I had talked to Matt on the phone, really enjoyed his no-BS approach, where he clearly explained the decision making process to me. My daughter bought a car from this dealership two weeks ago, and last week, the manual transmission failed while she was in Madison, WI for our son's wedding. Illinois has an implied warranty law that requires used car dealerships to repair major failures happening in less than 500 miles, so she called the dealership to see what she should do to get it repaired. The dealership has put her on hold, transferred calls to voicemail or just let the phone ring, and when they did answer, they told her the clutch and bearings are not part of a manual transmission - maybe thinking she would believe such a ridiculous statement because she's a woman? In any case they have done nothing at all to help her, and if your're a young woman, a person with a daughter, or for that matter, a human being who wants to buy a used car you can trust from a dealer that looks out for its customers, don't buy a car from Napleton Arlington Mazda. read more

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. My daughter was buying her first car, we signed a purchase agreement and were to come in a few days later to finalize everything and pick up the car. The next day, I called to confirm the pick up date. I was informed that they couldn't honor the price they gave me the day before (and was in the signed purchase agreement). If we still wanted the car we would have to pay $1500 more. Ridiculous and total sham. NEVER will we ever give any money to Napleton again. Make your own decision but heed my warning first. My mother in-law brought her Mazda to our mechanic in mid Jan 2019 to correct an issue with her brake fluid. Our mechanic said this is something only the dealership can fix so we brought it to Napletons. She was quoted a whopping 1400.00 to fix the issue. She reluctantly agreed even though she's 76 yrs old on a budget and after being told "this car has plenty of miles left" by the service manager at the dealership. She comes to pick up the car and was told they took it for a test drive and everything is working. She leaves the dealership and drives no more than 1 block before the car stalls and the panel lights up like a Christmas tree. After returning the vehicle, she's told, surprise, there is a new issue and it would cost another 1300.00 to fix. Frustrated she asked what it would cost to just buy the car, the dealership provided such a generous offer of 500.00 for the car, yeah right. We left with the car bringing it to our main mechanic. Not only did he say they did way more work than it needed, but that the brakes are still not right. Moral of the story, STAY AWAY FROM THESE con artist. I've never been a fan of any Napleton or Roto dealership, but since my Mazda dealership now only has one location and it's in Orland Park, I've been forced to find a local dealer. I've been to this one twice now. This time I took my daughter's 2016 Mazda 3i Sport to have the rear brakes fixed. I was told when I brought her car in for an oil change and a tire rotation that the brakes needed work, but I was skeptical. I thought maybe it was just a way to try to drum up business. But, I was wrong. Two auto repair shops verified that her rear brakes needed work and surprisingly both shops wanted the same price as Napleton did. I've always thought dealers were way too high on repair prices, but in this case they weren't. In addition, it was nice to have a place where several mechanics work at the same time - unlike some auto shops - so that you can sit and wait for the repair instead of calling the shop two days later only to find that they haven't had time to get to your car yet. Once again, Alyssa Lupo was my customer service person and she was awesome - very attentive and knows her stuff. Repair went smoothly, was priced right, and I even got a quote on some body work that the car needs. Only "issue" that I've encountered here is that the Mazda waiting room is substandard. The drinks and snacks are sorely lacking - stale granola bars and old, tiny packages of Veggie straws show your customers how much you don't appreciate them. The black couches have what looks like white pet hair all over them. Come on guys, clean up the furniture and invest in one of those hot drink machines. If you need guidance, check out Orland Park Mazda (used to be CJ Wilson Mazda of Orland Park). They not only give customers hot drinks and water, but they have donuts, bagels & cream cheese, and fresh fruit. read more
