This experience overall was just "ok". To be honest I wouldn't waste my money going on this ship again. Your honestly paying for good views on ocean front homes. I can't lie, the home I saw were amazing and the views were beyond spectacular and that's why I give this 2 stars. For the price and quality of the food it's definitely not worth it, they had a few options. Prime rib, fish, potato's and vegetables. The prime rib was disappointing, absolutely no flavor at all and it taste like it was frozen and cooked while still frozen, disappointed. The "fresh" fish was not actually fresh. You can tell it came packaged. It was coated in nasty processed butter. Another disappointment was the salad was not fresh at all, it literally comes from a plastic bag and mixed with dressing. I'm just saying, for $75 I would at least expect some fresh vegetables. Overall if you like looking at beautiful houses and enjoy those views I think there are much better options out there. Don't waste your money on this cruise. The staff however was very friendly!! read more

We had the easiest time from booking to getting on the cruise! We had four adults and a baby on this and each one loved every minute of it! From the time of boarding (get there early for prime seats) to drinks and the BEAUTIFUL sunset in the gulf, this exceeded our expectations 110%! My wife and I went on the Sunset Cruise for our anniversary. We did not do the dinner cruise just the sightseeing. Had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the sights and the people and staff aboard. The bartender upstairs was one of those amazing people you come across in your lifetime that leaves a lasting impact on your life. Sounds quirky I know. Hes fun and likes to joke around but just talk to him a bit and you will be inspired. After the cruise, we walked up the road into Naples and went to Trulucks for dinner. Food: absolutely horrendous. Chicken tasted of chemicals. 'Steak' reminiscent of saddle leather from the 1870s. Vegetables were soggy and lukewarm. Bar: not great but serviceable. Unfortunately, overpriced mediocre wines, but this was not surprising. Staff: excellent. Friendly, helpful and welcoming. Cruise: very disappointing. We spent almost the entire time gawking at mansions and yachts within the inner Naples channels and thus it amounted to what felt like an episode of 'Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous'. For lack of things to do in Naples in my opinion, this is one of their highlights. Took a sunset cruise aboard the Naples Princess last night. Comparing it to other river cruises I've taken, their boat seemed to be luxurious. It's well kept, very clean, crew on board were all very welcoming, tables were arranged in a way that didn't make it seem crowded, bathrooms were great. There are two bars one on each deck. Served bottles beer and on tap and mixed drinks too. You could order food ala carte or pay extra for their hors d'ouvre buffet. The weather was not kind to us hence no sunset view and we weren't able to cruise the Gulf of Mexico. However, we were able to see the beautiful houses on the water with the captain narrating to us a little about its history. read more

I came to a dinner cruise on the Naples Princess with some colleagues, and I had a really great experience! There is a cash bar, but the dinner included cooked vegetables, prime rib, fish, a Caesar salad, roll, and mashed potatoes. I skipped the fish,and thought the veggies and prime rib were OK. The Caesar salad and roll were my favorite parts. Portions weren't very large, and I was a little hungry still. The dessert was a berry pastry that was good. The big experience of this cruise is obviously being out on the Gulf. The sunset and dolphins were awesome. It was a really fun way to spend the night, and the boat was big enough that there was plenty of room. My review may be higher because I did not pay for this experience, someone else did. Looking at the price, for $61, I would have been reluctant. However, my monetary situation is far tighter than most people visiting Naples. read more

The weather was nice and the boat was beautiful. The cruise could have been much better if the captain and crew were more welcoming. (I paid $350 for my family to cruise on this special day.) After a 5 minute "welcoming" monologue about COVID and other very non-festive topics the captain gave a weak and jumbled narration before turning on the music. Step it up guys. Unacceptable customer service. Made dinner cruise reservations a week in advance for my mother in-laws 60th birthday. We called on three separate occasions to confirm are party size and that we had a spot, to which they stated yes. Once we arrived at the Marina we were told by staff that we were never put on the Dinner cruise list and that they were completely booked. How is it we can call three different times and yet when we get there, they have no answer as to why they ruined my mothers in laws 60th birthday. Absolutely unacceptable and in no way did they try to rectify their mishap. All the staff member could say is that she did not write it in so she doesn't know. Not only did it put a bad taste in my mouth but also made my pregnant wife hyperventilate and cry because she was in charge of planning her moms birthday. The boat was not crowded and because it was so hot we ended up on the bottom deck, enjoying the views and AC, all by ourselves (and the nice bartender who put up with my girls dancing and screaming). What a great way to spend sunset in Naples!! We took a cruise with our family, and the staff was absolutely attentive and delightful. The prime rib buffet was excellent. We even had a "special diet" request in our party and they accommodated us. The drinks all had fun names and the captain narrated the houses in Port Royal and the history in the area. He even went so far as to point out dolphins that were surfing in the boat wake. Spectacular night!! Waited 30 years to take this Sunset Dinner Cruise for my Bday. Marco Princess was closed for maintenance. So we opted for the Naples Princess. They tell you to arrive 45 minutes early for boarding. They said your good, upon arrival. What? No place cool to have a drink and wait 45 minutes? So you actually wait outside in the extreme heat doing so. The windows and glass doors, are so dirty you have to go outside to see anything. They put us in the bow room very exciting, I thought. (4 tables). You could view butts and legs and wood walls, while you sit and wait for your hot box surf and turf dinner. The Cesar salads were warm and croutons were sponges.I would have sent it back but oh there's no service. It's banquet style, or bad wedding reception style. The surf, which was shrimp was buried in so much old bay seasoning you literally choked on it, and terribly spicey hot. The turf, which was room temperature medium cooked tenderloin and so dry, it had absolutley no flavor what so ever, laying on top of brown pkg gravy. Forget the vegetables, also no flavor, like eating plastic. My Bday, no piece of cake as we were told there'd be, but a hard tart, that could have been used for a floating device if need be. Oh, the captain, talked so fast you could not understand a word. I think he mentioned the life preservers but we all never figured it out. Which could be an important peice of info had we run into trouble.(Thank goodness for the tart). The speed of the boat was so slow we could have swam faster, don't know if it was for saving fuel or really being able to get a good look inside people's homes. (Glad I dont live in Port Royal). I'm giving one star only because I didn't have to pull fire alarm to get a helicopter to rescue me off the boat. I was going to jump and swim back to the dock. Bet I would have gotten there before the boat.But on a good note I will never, ever, forget this Bday. Thank you Naples Princess, maybe think about retiring the old gal. Oh me? We have done this cruise before and it was a lot more entertaining. It started out ok with commentary on the history of Naples ( very interesting). We couldn't hear it due to a loud private party on the lower level we asked a staff metro ask to increase the speak volume and it was better. There's a lot of interesting history in this area but there wasn't any provided after 5 minutes. So we had to say the cruise was fantastic, but there is a kleptomaniac on the boat. There was a single lady on the boat rubbing her head and acting odd. She never went outside of the boat and did not have any belongings with her. When we returned back into the cabin our hats we purchased were gone and she had the same bag by her side. Very disappointed. Usually we take our guests on the Double Sunshine but decided to try the Naples Princess. Big mistake. We needed to go within a particular Time frame which happened to be tonight which was advertised as a More than Hor d'oeuvres sunset cruise. We initially tried to call to make reservations and could not get answers to our questions, therefore, we drove to the Naples Princess office to book it. We were never told we had the option just for the cruise and not to include the Hor d oeuvres. We found out once we got on the boat that purchasing just the cruise portion was an option! I had a wonderful sunset cruise aboard the Princess. Sat on the top deck with friends and enjoyed the stunning views from what felt like the top of the sea. I had a margarita that was made nice and stiff- a great companion to seeing the most gorgeous sunset along the Gulf. Disappointed. Is the only word that comes to mind. I booked the dinner cruise for my husbands birthday. I was unaware this is basically a tour boat that looks at houses in a canal with a 10 gulf visit. And while the dinner was ok not great for the price one would expect that it comes with at least a drink. Even water. But no. And booking the dinner time cruise you would think everyone on it was there for dinner but nope you have people that are only paying for the sightseeing, this started to get very confusing. In my opinion if you want to do this only pay for the sightseeing and buy the snacks they offer. Not worth the price for dinner. read more

Had a really nice time with the family, not sure why the reviews are so low. $35 a person is a little high for a 1.5 hr tour however for a small group a lot more economical then a charter to get out on the water Afternoon trip was very empty so on the lower level it felt almost almost like a charter. There are a lot of complaints about price for drinks but we paid $9 for a mixed drink and Two diet Cokes. Given the forum I didn't think that was bad. I can't comment on the food since we only did the sightseeing tour. read more

The cruise was just good. It only briefly entered the gulf and then immediately turned around and went back into the bay. I was hoping to see waterfront homes on the gulf. This is a sightseeing cruise and the windows were quite dirty. It was chilly outside the morning we went so we stayed inside the ship. Clean windows are expected for a sightseeing cruise and would have been appreciated. There was only 1 bartender. She was extremely chatty and distracted while making drinks. This was an amazing experience! My girlfriends and I went for a sunset cruise for a night on her bachelorette weekend. It was truly unforgettable. The staff was so nice and welcoming! Absolutely beautiful views of the sunset and up close to the multi-million dollar homes. The only reason why I dont give it a full 5 stars is that they had NO vegan options which was a bit disappointing considering I paid for an hordouves cruise and couldnt eat anything other than a bun for the pulled pork. Took an afternoon cruise and paid extra for lunch buffet. The food was horrible. White wonder bread with processed lunch meat of ham and turkey. Gotta love those nitrates! Also offered was ham salad and tuna salad and it tasted terrible.
