Lowdermilk Park is one of my favorite beaches in Naples. I've grown up visiting this beach with my grandparents for years and it has always been so well-maintained. The sand is so fluffy and clean. Beautiful shells are scattered along the seashore here, so if shell hunting is your kinda thing, bring a small bucket with you to the beach. The water is mostly calm, but sometimes there are waves. Bathrooms, a concession stand, and picnic tables are all found at this park. There is a parking lot, however keep in mind this lot can easily fill up around busy seasons like spring break, so it's best to get to the beach early. I've been here a few times both in the mornings and for sunsets, and while there are definitely people around and groups, I can still easily find a place in the sand to put my belongings that is a comfortable distance from others. Overall this was my oasis for relaxation for the brief month I was in Naples. The water is lovely, and I've encountered scores of sand dollars in the shallow water, witnessed birds diving for fish yards away, and even been touched by a dolphin at sunset. I haven't had issues with parking, and there are easily accessible foot-rinsing stations. Plenty of picnic tables available and even a volleyball court, but so far I haven't seen anyone use it. read more

I enjoyed my visit to Lowdermilk Park yesterday. We got there a little after five so we could settle in and watch the sunset - it was a fantastic place to do this. They have a large parking lot, and maybe because it was Thursday evening and a little after five, we were able to get a parking spot in the row closest to the beach. They have a large pavilion attached to a walk-up café where can get all kinds of food (from burgers salads to sweet treats). We were there just for the sunset, though, and made our way to the very soft-sanded and pretty beach. The beach was clean, and while they were plenty of people watching the sunset, it was not overly crowded. Somebody had built really intricate sandcastle, and that was cool to see. A group of beachgoers said they had been protecting it all day from the "ravages of marauding children" who they had seen destroying one the day before. OK, in reality there were no "marauding children", but a sandcastle had been kicked down the day before There are showers behind the pavilion where you can rinse off the sand, and also restrooms. Seems this pretty park has everything you need for a great day at the beach. read more

What a great find and easy to find. I searched for beaches and it took me right to this place. This little family friendly park. Is located in the middle of a residential area. It's nice and green and full of trees. The park is nice and well kept. It is really clean. This little has meter parking. The parking lot is a good size and it's near the beach. This park has two kids playground, two volleyball nets, a concession stand that serves food, bathrooms, showers and plenty of picking tables. The tables are all around, some in the shade other by concession stand. One side of the park you have the beach. The other side of the park you have a small lake. And more sitting areas around it. It is also a nice shady cool area. The other side of the park is the volleyball nets and the other side of the park is the entrance and exit. It's almost a imperfect square. The beach was beautiful and clean. It was pretty crowded. I noticed a rental stand. you can rent kayaks and umbrellas here. I had a great day . I am so glad I found this place. read more

My favorite beach of all swfl! Parking: $2.50/hour and in a standard parking lot, not dirt, spaces are properly numbered (and tracked so don't skimp on not paying to park!). If you arrive at 8A or 11A, parking link will always be a bit crazy and you just have to be patient and ready to drive around a few times to get a good spot. Surroundings: At parking area, there are plenty of sidewalks, ramps and seats. There are bathrooms, showers and a playground. There's even a concession stand that sells drinks, snacks and even ice! haha Beach: Sand is wonderful, nice and soft and tons of beach room to spread out - many people start crowding around 5pm-ish to settle to see sunset. If you've never stayed, its a must, absolutely stunning. Being on the Gulf, this beach tends to not have much of a breeze, but still worth the trip! read more

Very interesting beach to say the least. I definitely liked the powdery sand and the parking was much less than going to Sanibel, which is the closet beach to us. It is a Popular park with beach access a nice pond, picnic tables, gazebo, restrooms, showers, beach sand VB courts along with jungle gym play areas for smaller kids. For the older Kids they have a Wheelchair made for sand. During season it gets filled quick, snowbirds from all over plus locals. They all do a good job of picking up. Just be patient as the elderly take forever to unload their vehicles when double parked. It's even worse when you are waiting for them to leave a parking spot. Parking can be a problem since they have metered spots and sticker spots. Annual parking spots for non residents can be purchased for $50. I can't believe it's taken me this long to discover this awesome little gem! I visited this beach with my family yearning for warmer temps and waters there in the Tampa area has to offer in December. This park was great for the whole family. They had clean changing facilities, a snack bar, and picnic tables, umbrellas and lounge chairs for rent, and outdoor showers for rinsing. There was plenty of parking and the pay machines are convenient. The gazebo is cute and there seems to be a wealth of events that occur at the park. The small playground could be expanded, but the beauty is in the upkeep of the park and the beach. The water was cold (as expected in December) but not too cold for my little mermaid to do some swimming. This beach seems to get crowded but not as bad as some Tampa area beaches. read more

Excellent beach, I like this one better than Bonita Beach as it doesn't have as many shells in the sand, There is lots of parking that is close to the beach, and reasonable, $2.50 per hour, with a concession stand serving drinks and food and lots of tables. We were staying in Naples for part of our Florida vacation, and a visit to Lowdermilk Park was highly recommended by our hosts. On a Tuesday morning, we had trouble finding parking because the beach was so full, but we found some free parking down the street a ways, no problem at all. We noticed restrooms as well and were happy to find they were well-maintained, well, at least the ladies' restroom was! Upon arriving at the beach, we were enamored with the super-fine white sand, which looks and feels like the sand inside a giant hour glass. Imagine breaking one open and having the fine, white sand covering the whole beach. Locals probably don't appreciate it, but we Californians know that beach sand is coarse and dark, and beaches are generally littered with piles of kelp. Not Lowdermilk! We strolled down the immaculate beach and collected shells, letting the clear, warm water lap our feet. The water is fairly shallow and clear, making wading, shelling and keeping an eye on little ones very easy. All the beach goers we engaged (about 4) were amazingly friendly and one even offered me a large, symmetrical sand dollar and a medium-sized, flawless conch for my collection that she saw I was missing. Score! :-) There are some really nice folks in Florida; I love it. If you're looking for big waves and body-surfing opportunities, you're in the wrong region. This beach is strictly for chillin' and absorbing lots UV. The sun here, even in March, is intense (use your zinc). If you're looking for hot, supple beach bods, you are also in the wrong region. Most of the people sporting beachwear appeared to be about 70+ and perpetrating a Hawaiian Tropic tan with the fragrance to accompany it. This reviewer would also argue that the beach goers should've reconsidered the skimpy beachwear, but this is America, damn it, and we must remain free to express our inner Beach Bunny, no matter what it looks like. What is this beach perfect for? A relaxing picnic under a large umbrella, some Frisbee/Smash Ball, bringing small children to play in the shallow water or just some reading time to yourself. I visit my Mom in Naples about every month. We enjoy Lowdermilk Park and the beach there. The beaches in Naples are different than the Hollywood and Ft Lauderdale beaches I frequent. For one, the sand is white and powdery. And the crowd is much more family concentrated. Lowdermilk Park is usually packed and a popular destination for locals and tourists. There are two volleyball courts, a couple of pavilions with barbeque, and a food hut serving hamburgers, hot dogs, various finger foods and assorted ice cream. Quite honestly this park is popular because there is little to do on Naples beaches. Retirees rule this land so it is very laid back. This is certainly cool by me for a few days. Only bummer is the parking. Beach parking is horrendous in Naples. So many cars and so few spaces. But, if in Naples, stick with Lowdermilk Park and enjoy the lazy days on the beach. read more

There is large pay parking area unless you are a resident of Naples and have the beach parking sticker. We come here every time we are in town. The benefit of this beach is that they have restrooms and a little snack bar right on site. You can also rent paddle boards and other water toys. The parking lot isn't nearly large enough for the number of visitors so you have to hope to find something on a nearby side street unless you arrive before 9am. We got there around 10:15am on a recent Spring weekday and finding parking/walking took almost an hour. My advice--get there early or don't go (or visit only in off-season)! They have a nice concession stand with good variety of options, but again, long lines around lunchtime. Nice bathroom/outdoor shower facilities as well. This beach is probably my favorite beach I visited during my vacation in the Fort Myers - Naples, Florida area. I love how the beach is strikingly close to the parking lot. In many other places, you have to hike a bit before reaching the sand. We went on a more chilly day, but it is such a beautiful destination many other beachgoers were there to join in on the fun. The water is nice, and it's a beautiful location for a jog or to fly a kite. Other beaches are conducive to every beach activity, but here, you can do it all. It is sandy. So in the case of it being a windy day, you could be tasting sand. However, that shouldn't be a deterrent from this relaxing place. I did notice there are no palm trees. This is an extremely nice beach - however, the parking is absolutely trash, along with the rest of the Naples beachfront parking. You're better off walking or Ubering here than trying to actually find a spot. And when you do get there, be ready to face rather large crowds. read more
