The first half of Baker Park which included the kayak launch, fitness facility, and outdoor terrace opened on March 14th and the remainder of the park with the main building and bike path officially opened October 29th 2019. The park started out as Gordon River Park but it's name was changed after Jay and Patty Baker donated two million dollars. Jay Baker was CEO of Kohl's and Patty Baker is an award winning Broadway producer. Although the city had wanted to build a park for years, plans started taking shaping in 2013 when Naples purchased seven acres adjacent to the old city horticulture landfill. Five acres were then added along the Gordon river. Construction broke ground in 2017 and the fifteen acre park took three and a half years to complete. The land to build the park was purchased for three million dollars, the park and main building cost fourteen and a half million dollars, the bike path cost a million dollars, and the Blair Foundation Bridge cost four million dollars to build. Naples received seven million dollars in donations for the park. There are so many great amenities at this beautiful park. There is a kayak launch onto the Gordon River and you can leave your kayak if you have a permit from the city. The park also has an outdoor fitness facility, sunrise terrace at the river's edge, a thirty-four foot high grassy knoll with spiral path, main building, bike paths, performance stage, playgrounds, splash pad, boat dock, picnic areas, and a pedestrian bridge over the Gordon River. Once you cross over the bridge you can connect to the Baker Trail. You can enjoy water sports, fish, bike, hike, picnic, and play in this gorgeous space. This will be an amazing outdoor resource for everyone in the Naples community.

Such a lovely evening exploring this beautiful and well manicured park with excellent walking trails. My only complaint is that they have very dim lighting on the playgrounds and they're open until 10. In the summer that wouldn't be an issue but when it gets dark at 5, they need better lighting on the playgrounds.

This 15 acre park on the Gordon River is adjacent to the Naples dog park. Located in the downtown Naples area close to 5th Avenue, it has many outdoor activities for kids. The park opened in 2019 so it's fairly new.

Omgsh I want to meet the designer of this new park! Cant say enough good about it. Boat docks, canoe holders, workout zone, kiddie play area, bbq picnic table, lots of water and beautiful landscapes, flat paved sidewalks for walking and biking, bridge, goes on and on Scenic for photos, wedding portraits, lots of sunshine. Shade is missing for a few years as the young trees need to grow This park connects to the other side where we use to walk. You can go for miles. Across from the dog park, ideal for everyone even your furry paws Looks like they are still constructing, rumor has it an outdoor theatre, a look out , concessions, restrooms. This is paradise within paradise So blessed to be here, pinch me

Took a weekend getaway to Naples for the 4th of July weekend. In between hours spent at the beach we like to explore local parks. This one in particular had a splash pad and playground that I knew would win the kids over. It was an extremely hot day so it was an added bonus. Upon arriving to the park every was extremely clean and well kept. You could tell this park was fairly new. There is a playground for ages 2-5 with an integrated splash pad and another playground suitable for ages 5-12. Aside from that we're two huge dog parks. One for small dogs, the other larger dogs. We happened to bring our small dog on this trip so he was able to take advantage. There aren't too many things for them to play with in such a big space. It would be nice if there were obstacle courses or ramps to keep things interesting. Al in all it was a great experience. I'd definitely come back next time I'm on the west coast.

Just beyond the entrance and up the stairs gives you a beautiful view!

Baker Park has to be one of the most beautiful and well laid out parks I have ever been to! Near the entrance is a dog park, a play ground and a water splash pad. There are many paved paths and wooden bridges over lots of water. Plenty of sunny as well as shady areas to hang out in. There are little nooks with charcoal grills and picnic tables. There is an airport on the outer border and it's cool to watch planes take off and land. There is a separate path just for bikes where pedestrians are not allowed, but also the other paths allow for both. Everything about this park screams high quality, from the outdoor gym area to the cable railings on the bridges. The hours are 6am to 10pm.

Baker Park officially opened October 29th 2019. It is the new hype in Naples. Expect for the park to be packed with children. There are tons of walking paths. You can reserve picnic gazebos and grill. They have a canoe/kayak slip and docking spot. They have boating slips if your a local and boat you can come and dock and enjoy the park without driving. Great views to the bridge that take you to Greenway park. High hill vantage point to see 360* view of the park and you can take the stairs or there is a graded hill path for those who cannot. It's very pet friendly, bike friendly (paths are wide), and very good for motorised chairs and there is a workout station. There is the play area for kids and small one for playing 'Pirate'! Big green spaces to play with your pets and our kids (play catch) or frisbee! Right near the Naples Dog Park too, if your pet is very socialized and can run free and play. Then put them on a leash and walk Baker Park.

We visited Baker Park for the first time and were impressed with the variety of things to do and how big it is. This newly constructed park actually reaches all the way to the Naples Airport and from an overlook you can watch jets land and take off, as well as boats meaner by the Gordon River. If you want a closer look, there is a footpath that will take you over a bridge crossing the Gordon River near the mouth of the Naples Bay. There is a wonderful green to play sports and the paths leading around the park meander through a small wetland, and past benches next to the waterfront. The playgrounds are pretty awesome too, with lots of entertainment for the children. Bring your kayak if you have one to launch from the launch pad, though I don't think you can drive up to it.

Breath taking the park is beautiful went there with a friend so her dog can run and play since mine had an operation on his back. The people that come here are friendly there's plenty places to sit and they have places to play you can also kayak it's a good day and all.....

The park is beautiful and the scenery is breathtaking. Great for the entire family. Pet friendly and bike friendly. The photos I've posted doesn't do any justice. You must see for yourself in person. This is are new favorite park to go too.

Love this place. So many activities and lots of space. Will definitley be back. We enjoyed the open space and plan to do the 2 mile walk. I also want to see the Naples bay but was only able to visit the jungle gyms and field my first time. I recommend bringing a kite!

All of the brothers were engineers and were employed by the Deltona Corporation founded by their father. Frank became the President of the Deltona Corporation and led the modernization of Marco Island. Mackle Park is impressive as it has everything that residents and visitors to Marco Island could want in outdoor recreation. The park has a community center with teen center, basketball court, bocce courts, open field area for play, picnic area, shuffleboard courts, a soccer/football field, volleyball court, and splash pad. One of the standout feature of the park is the creative playground that is a hit with kids. It has a pirate ship, castle turrets, and lots of places to climb and engage in imaginative play. My favorite part of the park is the beautifully landscaped walking path that winds around the lake. A sign at the entrance to the trail shows how you can increase the half mile walk around the lake to .9 miles by incorporating walking the perimeter of the fields in the back of the park. It is perfect for a leisurely stroll or a more vigorous jog. The lake is also a great place to bird watch and fish. Mackle Park has something for everyone. It offers a blend of recreational facilities and natural beauty that makes it a must-visit for anyone in the area. Whether you're looking to let the kids play, enjoy a peaceful walk, or partake in community events or a class, Mackle Park offers it all and more.

I did try both Water slides. The yellow tubed one was super fast. The blue one was open air and slower. You could feel the grooves where sections of slide were put together on your back when going down the slides. Also, you did not dispense into a pool at bottom of slide but stayed in your lane which made for an abrupt landing and not so easy to get up and out! :) kids under the height requirement could handle the blue slide! :)

We packed a cooler of drinks (la croix and some harder bevvies for the adults in our group), sandwiches, and snacks, and headed to this park for the afternoon. There was a large kids pool that was at most 3 1/2 feet deep, with a bunch of squirting machines and a giant wheel that dumps water. My nephews and niece really enjoyed this one, and it was large enough that there was still room to swim around and have fun. There was also a nice ledge along the back side of the pool (away from the attractions) so you can comfortably sit! There was also a large pool (that was much colder!) with lap lanes, an area to hang/swim, and a high and low diving board. There was always a small line for the diving boards, the kids were having so much fun! On top of all that, there are 2 water slides and an infant pool. The pool areas are well-staffed with lifeguards who were on top of keeping an eye on everything, blowing the whistle to get the attention of people, making sure kids were walking not running, and keeping the area safe. There's also a good blend of chairs in the sun and picnic type tables in the shade. We had a blast here and it's a great place for a family fun day!
